Exodus 31:16 The children of Israel ( Jews ) shall keep the sabbath. Gentiles ( other than Jews ) are not included in the law of Moses. The Patriarchs ( People before Abraham ), Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, were not commanded to keep the sabbath day.. These Patriarchs lived long before Moses gave the LAW to the Jews. The law was given to the children of Israel ( the Jews ), after God had brought them out of Egypt. The Sabbath law was given to the Jews not to the Gentiles. Deuteronomy 5:1-15. Christ is the end of the law. Romans 10:4, The law and the prophets were until John. (John the baptist) Luke 16:16. John 19:30. Jesus said, “It is finished!” In Jesus we have redemption through his blood. No-one can be redeemed in the LAW of Moses. Colossians 2:14 Says that the law is nailed to the cross. Any christian who follows the jewish laws is cursed. However, anyone who follows Jesus instead of the jewish law is free of that curse. Galatians 3:10,13.
