Cooper Creek Reservoir is located just east of the small town of Sutherlin, Oregon. The reservoir is fed by namesake Cooper Creek and held back by a large earthen dam. The 16- acre reservoir is a picturesque spot that offers many recreational opportunities.

This video is of a 137 acre property that was for sale. I thought this video captured the essence of it.

Watson Falls is the tallest waterfall in the North Umpqua River basin and is often recognized as one of the tallest waterfalls in Oregon. While the latter fact is not entirely correct, it is certainly among the most notable waterfalls in southern Oregon. The falls hurtle a sheer 293 feet over a massive cathedral-like amphitheater wall of basalt, crashing into a long talus slope covered in moss and vine maple. The falls plunge over enough of an overhang that occasional gusts of wind can toss the water sideways or upwards in rare cases (usually later in the summer when there is less water in the creek). Watson Falls is located along Hwy 138 (the Umpqua Hwy), about 13 miles west of Diamond Lake.

This is Toketee Falls. It's about 16 miles west of Diamond Lake on the Umpqua Hwy 138. It's a beautiful sight to see and anyone that drives along the Umpqua Hwy should make a point of stopping there. Toketee Falls is one of the most well known waterfalls in Oregon, renowned for the well defined columnar jointing along the cliff which forms the waterfall. The falls drop in two steps from a narrow slot canyon carved into the basalt bedrock, falling a total of 89 feet into a large cerulean-hued pool.

There is a place about 15 miles east of Roseburg, Oregon called The Narrows. It is on the Umpqua Hwy headed toward Diamond Lake, near Glide, Oregon. The place doesn't look the same since the fire in 2020, but it's still a must see for those traveling thru the Umpqua National Forest.
