Memory - Malaysian Cuisine Class @ APCA MalaysiaIndo-Malay Cuisine | ISMT COLLEGE
Malaysian flavors are a unique combination of sweet, sour, rich and spicy which is uncommon in any country’s cuisine. Whether in cities, villages or in small towns, street food is seen almost everywhere in Malaysia. Malay food exhibits influences from different parts of Malaysia and Indonesia, and is mostly slow-cooked over low heat. With this session in place, our students will be able to work in multi-cuisine as well as specialty restaurants.
Focused on the presentation of Indo-Malaysian food, the learner explores preparation steps ranging from meal planning to adding the final touch of garnish, building on knowledge and skills. The student is able to define, identify and/or demonstrate techniques to decorate or
enhance the presentation of Indo-Malaysian cuisine.
The session will give our student a deeper appreciation for food as culture, food as art, their health and more all of which you can pass on to your customers through your own culinary efforts.
