Glock 34 Trijicon SRO - steel rack plate and recoil management practice
I finally got a hold of a Trijicon SRO and I had to take to the practice to try it out. TL;DR it did not disappoint. Finding the dot was easy. I don't think I've ever missed finding that dot upon presentation.
This is a short video of me burning through 300 rounds to work on recoil management, seeing the dot throughout muzzle rise, and better trigger control. For those wondering, I did swap back to the stock Glock trigger. The Timney Alpha was giving me too much trouble with light strikes, which is unacceptable.
My take aways from this practice session are:
- my reloads suck. I need to hit that mag pouch a lot quicker and stop looking down at it. It should be done without using my eyes
- I need to lean more into the gun to have a faster recovery
- I need to zero this dot to make sure it's properly setup for my gun. I swear, there were a couple of shots that were dead on and I missed the steel. Or maybe it's just me :)
- I need to get over the mental hurdle of over-confirming my sights. Maybe I should do this by trying to pull for 0.2s splits and try to analyze what I see

Glock 34 Trijicon SRO - going 110% and seeing the wheels fall off | vman
Another productive day at practice. I pulled some shots low, but for the most part, I need to be visually more patient, draw faster, and improve my shot-calling at a faster speed. Going to start dry firing with a new purpose now--need to make sure that the dot doesn't move during trigger press and need to make sure my draw is fast for the first 90% of the stroke.
