Hebrews, Part 5
We have learned about the dangers of falling away, but now the focus turns towards encouragement. How are joy, love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control signs of our belief? Abraham, Issac, Jacob endured faith and patience. What unilateral oath did God swear by His name because of Abraham's dedication? Come along with us as Amy delves into these important questions as well as the mysterious figure of Melchisedec, the King of Righteousness, King of Peace, with no beginning and no end. Who was this King and priest that blessed Abraham, and why does it matter to us? Jesus, from the superior order of Melchisedec that proceeded the Levitical order, serves as our High Priest and our King. We are His Royal priesthood. As servants as Christ, how are you representing Him out in the world? At home?

Hebrews, Part 4
Today we continue the study of Jesus as our High Priest. Melchizedek was both a king and a priest; the only other person who served both roles was Jesus. Why is this comparison made in Scripture and how does this affect us as believers? The author of Hebrews makes clear warnings of what will happen if we "fall away" from Jesus. Are you being a lazy, sluggish Christian? How do you grow in spiritual maturity in Christ? Join us as Amy takes us through the importance and requirements of being a representative of Christ. In today's world, it is imperative to have a solid understanding of how to fully develop in our faith while the window of grace is still offered under God's grace.

Hebrews, Part 3
Rest and belief; how are these two words connected? Eleven times in Hebrews Chapters 3 & 4 the word "rest" is mentioned, in particular, entering rest. If rest and belief are tied together, Amy teaches us how unbelief can have a negative impact on our life. What happened to Moses's generation? Were they able to find rest in the Promised Land or did their unbelief harden their hearts and lead them to disobedience? Even though this generation was a witness to God's power and Word, they lacked faith. Are you believing in God's promises or do you still have unbelief? Has your active (vs. passive) faith allowed you to enter into His rest? This study ends with grand detail to the powers of the Living Word and our ability to boldly go to the throne of Mercy to our forever High Priest, Jesus Christ.

Hebrews, Part 2
Join us as we continue our study into the book of Hebrews. In the last chapter, we learned about Jesus's superiority above the angels and all of creation. But why did Jesus need to become fully human to save us? What does it mean that Jesus conquered death? Does the enemy manipulate you with the fear of death? How does Jesus's suffering and sacrifice show the ultimate gift of love God gave to humanity? In today's readings, Amy discusses how original sin was done in flesh and blood, therefore, in order to remove this obstacle to our salvation, He had to become flesh and blood as a perfect man. He had to experience suffering, including death, to provide salvation for you and me. With this perfect sacrifice, death now ushers in our salvation and is not to be feared. Jesus called us His brethren, how special is that?

Welcome to the Book of Hebrews! Join us today as Amy introduces the who/when/why and the message of this Book. This study takes the listener deep into the understanding of who Jesus was in relation to God the Father and what it fully means. Do you see on social media the worship of angels in the new age movement? Does your role of angels align with Scripture? What did the author of Hebrews mean when he talked about the dangers of believers drifting away? Do you find yourself drifting away from the Lord through daily distractions? You may see Jesus's sacrifice as a gift to receive, but do you also see it as a way to be rescued? As we read Hebrews 1 - 2:9, the importance of His sacrifice and His true superiority become clearer.

Exodus, Part 23
Come along with Amy and she wraps up the end of Exodus, chapters 25 - 40. Like the people of Israel, what has God blessed you with today, that could benefit you in the future? The people had already broken the bilateral covenant, but Moses steps in to petition for the people. And at last, the building of the Tabernacle takes place one year from their exodus from Egypt and nine months from their arrival at Mt. Sinai. Understand on a deeper level how God makes His provisions. Learn in depth the details of the Holy Spirit. And finally, how does God dwell with men today?

Exodus, Part 22
God is always faithful and keeps His promises. As we see in Exodus chapters 33 & 34, God upholds the unilateral agreement with the patriarchs within the Abrahamic covenant, even though Israel breaks the bilateral agreement just given to them. Join us as Amy teaches us through Scripture how Moses becomes an intercessor for Israel. How can you apply Moses's appeal to God to your prayer life? Do you pray like you know Him? Do you understand why man cannot go in front of God without atonement of sin? God is the righteous judge. When Moses descended from the mountain, his face radiated glory and shone because he saw the glory of the Lord. How did Moses's veiling of his face create a beautiful picture of the old and the new covenant? How does Jesus lift the veil of our hearts? Are you shining the light and the glory of God?

Exodus, Part 20
What does repentance mean to you? Just like the priests, we are called to hear God, serve God, walk with God. We are now the perpetual priest; our service is to God. Are you serving Him in your daily life in this new role? Join us as Amy takes us through Chapters 29 & 30 as we learn about the consecration of the priests and the final pieces of furniture in the Tabernacle. We learn how Jesus is our High Priest sitting at the right hand of our Heavenly Father, bringing intercession on our behalf. Jesus couldn't intercede before the ultimate sacrifice on the alter. And now we consecrate ourselves, not by works of righteousness, but by our faith, belief and confession to the Lord. We are clothed in Christ, we "put on" Christ as our identity, and the Holy Spirit anoints us. We cleanse ourselves daily by being in the Word, daily sanctification.

God may call you to do His will when you don't think you are perfectly qualified, but He does equip those He calls. How can you apply this to your life? Do you rest in your faith or do you try to control and do it all? He calls you, He equips you, and He gives you provisions. Join us as Amy takes us through Exodus chapters 31 & 32, teaching how to do a spiritual inventory through the examples in Exodus. Do you downplay or justify your sins? Or are you calling it out as God sees it? Do you see the immediate consequence of sin in your life? How about the long term consequences? Exodus, Part 18
Are you in a time of testing right now, like the people in the wilderness? Join Amy as we continue through Exodus Chapters 25 & 26. First came the Law, then came the Covenant, and now comes the time of Atonement, a time of provision to provide a way for the nation of Israel to have a dwelling place with God. A lessor picture to the greater picture; God outlines what was needed for the High Priests to commune with Him through detailed instructions of how to build His earthly tabernacle, a representation of what exists in Heaven. Amy takes us through the parallels of Christ as our Heavenly tabernacle, and through Christ's sacrifice, now we are able to directly commune with God.

We cannot approach God without addressing our sins first; there has to be an atonement for our sins. Join us as Amy teaches the parallels between the continual sacrifices for the atonement of sins in Exodus Chapters 27 & 28, to Christ's death on the cross as our final atonement, our eternal redemption.
Did you ever wonder how Jesus could become our High Priest and not be from the tribe of Levi? He brought a change from the old order, He comes from the tribe of Judah, the order of Melchizedek, He opens the door for any who are born again through Christ into the High Priesthood, and none that believe in Him are excluded. How beautiful this gift! We now have authority to come into the Holy of Holies, to stand before the throne of the Most High God, to commune with Him, all because of the sacrifice Christ made for us. How does it feel to know that you are part of a Royal Priesthood? A chosen generation?

What are the parallels between Moses and Jesus? Does Moses and his generation of unbelievers make it into the Promised Land? How does God uses His creations to show His power and send messages? Exodus, Part 13
In-laws to the rescue! In Chapter 18 we learn about the excellent advice from Moses's father-in-law, a pagan priest who once is told of God's deliverance of His people out of the land of Egypt, exclaims that the Lord is greater than all gods! Moses rightly attributes the miraculous escape from slavery to God. Jethro lends advice to Moses on how to effectively judge the people. Chapter 19 begins the prelude to the Ten Commandments, and a beautiful analogy of God's love for us; "...I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself" (19:4). Does this increase your faith, knowing God's love for us? As Amy teaches us, obedience and following His commands is how we show our love for Him. We learn God's instructions for Moses on how to prepare the people for His presence on Mt. Sinai.

Exodus, Part 14
Having given instructions of how to prepare and approach God, in Chapter 20, 50 days after the crossing of the Red Sea God makes His presence known on Mount Sinai to Moses and to the people. The same God that causes the mountains to quake, trumpets to sound, and a voice that thunders in Heaven, is the same God who came down to us as fully man to die for our sins. How does this renew your faith in God? The Ten Commandments were written by God's own finger onto stone tablets, couriered by an angel to Moses because no one could be in God's holy presence. The first 5 commandments instruct how to treat God and the second 5 commandments instruct how to treat others. Do you have God's commandments written on your heart?

Exodus, Part 12
Do you live day-to-day like the Israelites, hoarding more manna than instructed, or do you place your faith in God to provide what you need for that day? We start off with the instructions to rest on the seventh day, the first instructions for the Sabbath. Within weeks of the parting of the Red Sea, God's people were rebelling again and again against God's commands by taking matters into their own hands and understanding. So many of us struggle with letting go of control. Did you know that this is a sin of self-idolatry, the sin of trusting your own judgment above God's? Moses's name comes from the Hebrew to "draw out". After being drawn out of the waters as a baby, God instructs him to draw out water from a rock, but does Moses do as exactly instructed? Or will he act out of the flesh with his punishment being to never enter the Promised Land? Who else has been referred to as “the Rock'' and how does that relate to Exodus? Come along with Amy through Chapters 16:20 - 17:16, as we continue our understanding of God's provisions for His people, and His opinions towards untrusting and unbelieving behaviors.

Join Amy and she takes us through Chapters 7 - 8:15 as we see God's continuation of His plan for freeing His people. We learn about the meanings behind the hardening of Pharaoh's heart and the reasons for doing so. From Moses's earlier request, we already know that Pharaoh holds no regard for the Lord of the Israelites. Amy explains the symbolism of the signs when Moses and Aaron go toe to toe with Pharaoh's magicians, as they show they can only imitate God's power, but not overpower. In the beginning of Chapter 8, we see the continuation of the power of the Lord our God through the second plague of frogs. At this point, Pharaoh has had enough and entreats Moses to speak to the Lord for relief. Great encouragement is given through Moses's journey of God's provision and protection when in obedience to His calling.
