Great experience with and little clouds. This highest point in Dunedin gives a lovely view of Dunedin and peninsula- I felt like I am watching a movie with visual effects. If there are clouds you feel like riding on them just like dreams.

Queenstown is known as one of New Zealand’s most beautiful towns (at least in terms of scenery), but what are things like when you leave the comfort of town for the winding roads to Glenorchy, Paradise and Kinloch? This drive, and the walks you’ll want to do in-between driving, features some classic New Zealand mountain scenery (Lord of the Rings was partly filmed in the area) and is easily one of the highlights of a trip to Queenstown.

Closeburn, Glenorchy. This scenic area was used as the site of Amon Hen, where the Fellowship were split up during the final battle of The Fellowship of the Ring. It's also the site where Merry and Pippin were captured by the Orcs. The scenes were filmed in a Pine forest near the shores of Lake Wakatipu.

Short and sweet with a lovely treat at the end. Very popular track due to the ease of access and the unique tunnel leading to the beach, hence the name. A little bit steep coming back up but it’s a short climb and not unmanageable.

Happy walk down the path and at the end special tunnel to the beach, amazing! Get ready on the way back, they are not easy and stepped.

Beautiful trail end very easy to walk (down). The way back is quite hectic, but the view makes it worth while.

Brilliant lookout with spectacular nature & colors, especially enjoyable by people who have watched the lord of the rings and can relate to the place. The white gravel on the river bed is absolutely amazing and adds to the beauty of the scenery. A camera with a good zoom is a must. Allow about half an hour for the drive and visit from Glenorchy.

The luge is a self-driving car system in which riders control the speed by pushing a pair of handlebars back and forth. The luge ride goes downhill, relying on gravitational pull to move. After the ride, the 315 meter long Skyride, using chairlifts, brings riders, luge carts, and the helmets back to the starting point.

The large sea snail is most often found in the cold waters of New Zealand, Australia,It has extremely rich, flavorful, and highly prized meat that is considered a culinary delicacy. Usually we slice it and eat it in raw just like Sashimi.

It is summer time in Queenstown, the video is taken at the main wharf, the water is crystal clear and ducks, goose, are playing on the water.

It's a great spot for a photo stop in Queenstown. It's convenient if you are driving, there is limited parking space but still possible to have a quick look. We were picked up from the airport to Azur Lodge, it's on our way and not too far from the city center.

Perfect location to view the rise which creeps through the mountains. We were here in May so sunrise said it was 8 am each day, more like 9:15 am before you actually see the sun. You want to be rugged up here in the morning if you’re watching the sunrise. Free parking all along the esplanade.

Glenorchy is nestled on the northern shores of Lake Wakatipu & is the gateway to hiking trails and Middle‑earth™ magic.

In the morning, the road is icy and we drove downhill slowly with extra care. The chilly air does not stop us from enjoying the fantastic view.
