In this video I show that if a limit of a sequence is 2 then subtracting that same sequence from itself becomes 0 regardless if we start from n + 3 or n. This is because as n approaches infinity, then so does n + 3, that is infinity + 3 is STILL infinity. Thus substracting the two sequences cancel out and the answer is 0. And the answer to the question is True. In this video I go over a quick example on Slant Asymptote Lines and this time look again at the special case, which is a rational function in which the numerator has a degree just one higher than the denominator. The example I cover is determining the slant asymptote line of the function f(x) = x^3/(x^2+1). Since it is a rational function, i.e. a division of two polynomials, and with the numerator a degree of 3, which is one more than the numerator’s degree of 2, we can simply use polynomial long division because as illustrated in my earlier video, the quotient is the asymptote line, and in this case is y = x. Nonetheless, I prove that the quotient is in fact the linear asymptote by applying the definition of a slanted asymptote, which is the limit as x approaches infinite of the difference between f(x) and its linear or slanted asymptote must approach zero, which it in fact does in this case. Graphing the two functions, we can clearly see that f(x) approaches y = x on both the positive and negative infinity scales. This is a very good video into illustrating how to solve for slanted asymptotes for rational functions, so make sure to watch this video! In this video I show that the number 0.99999.... can be written as a convergent geometric series whose sum is equal to 1. The number 0.99999... can be written as 0.9 + 0.09 + 0.009 + ... which can further be written as 0.9 + 0.9(0.1) + 0.9(0.1)^2 + ... which is just a geometric series. In our case, r = 0.1 and is less than 1, thus the geometric series is convergent and we can apply the formula for the sum, which is just 1. Thus the answer to the question is True: 0.99999 ... = 1. In this video I go over a quick question that involves applying the Ratio Test to find that a series is convergent and thus the terms approach zero as n goes to infinity. If every term of a sequence is greater than zero, and the ratio of each next term to the current term is less than 1 as n approaches infinity, then this is merely the Ratio Test for a convergent series. Thus, if a series is convergent, its terms approach zero, and the answer to our question is True. In #MESExperiments 34 I have uploaded a short clip of Eric Laithwaite from 1968 demonstrating some very interesting properties of permanent magnets that are difficult to explain with the simple magnetic pole model. The first experiment is the basic two "like-poles" repel each other demonstration. Afterwards, he places an unmagnetized steel piece between the magnets and they now attract to it instead of repel each other. The next experiment he places a second unmagnetized steel piece and this time the magnets repel each other while clinging on to one steel piece each. In the last two experiments, Eric places an unmagnetized steel plate and an unmagnetized steel ball next to the magnetic pole. The magnet attracts the ball, but when he pulls out the steel plate, it pulls the ball with it and away from the magnet! Finally, he places a piece of cardboard between the ball and magnet, and shows that when moving the plate near it, the ball jumps towards the plate. How can the unmagnetized steel plate attract the ball more than the magnet? When there is no magnet present, the steel plate doesn't attract the ball at all. These are truly mind-boggling experiments! In this video I do a debunk of Eric Dubay's debunk of my earlier Flat Earth debunk and show that the Mountain's shadow forms opposite triangular shapes depending on if it is on top or below the clouds. When the Sun goes below the horizon, it can form an epic shadow of large objects such as Mountain's or skyscrapers unto the underside of the clouds. In this case, the shadow has a triangular shape where the pointy part is near the peak of the Mountain and the wider base is on the far side away on the clouds. If the Mountain peak is above the clouds, then as the Sun approaches near the horizon, it can form a shadow above the clouds that is in reverse direction as to the one below the clouds. In this video I show that if a series is convergent, then an alternating series version of it also converges because that would be absolutely convergent. Adding (-1)^n to a series makes it alternate between positive and negative terms. An absolutely convergent series is also just normally convergent. This is because the terms approach zero regardless if they are positive or negative. Thus the answer to the question is True. In this video I show that a sequence is convergent, by the Monotonic Sequence Theorem, if it is positive and decreasing for all values of n. This would mean that the sequence is bounded because the largest value would be the initial term and the smallest value is a number greater than 0. Thus we can apply the Monotonic Sequence Theorem and the sequence is convergent. We can see this visually since the terms of the sequence will approach a limit L greater than 0. In this video I show that we can multiply 2 divergent sequences to form a convergent sequence. The example I use is the sequence with terms (-1)^n, which is a divergent sequence that alternates between 1 and - 1 as n approaches infinity. If we multiply this sequence by itself, hence multiplying 2 divergent sequences, we end up with 1^n which equals 1 for all values of n. Thus the new sequence is convergent, and the answer to the question is False: multiplying divergent sequences does not necessarily mean we get a divergent sequence. In this video I show that two divergent series can sum up to form a convergent series. A simple example is the sum of the divergent series {n} and {-n}. Both of these infinite series individually diverge to infinity or negative infinity, summing them up involves all terms canceling out and converging to n - n = 0. In this video I go over another example on Slant Asymptotes and this time look at the slant asymptote lines of a horizontal hyperbola, which is a hyperbola that extends outwards horizontally. The hyperbola x^2/a^2 – y^2/b^2 = 1 where a and b are constants has slant asymptote lines y = +/- (b/a)x. This is proven by applying the definition of slant asymptotes which I covered in my earlier video, and that is the limit as x approaches infinity of the difference between the function and a line approaches zero. In other words the function, in this case the hyperbola, approaches the asymptote lines. In proving this, I first rearrange the hyperbola to write it as y = f(x). But since the function involves square rooting a square, we get a two part function that can be either positive or negative, and thus to save time I combined all of the +/- terms (as well as the limit as x approaches +/- infinity) in just one limit formula. This was a shortcut on my part, but nonetheless the result is the same for this particular example as compared with doing it individually. In this video I show that we can solve for any given derivative of a function just by looking at its coefficients if it can be written as a convergent power series. The coefficients of a power series are given by the formula: (n-th derivative at a) / n!. In our question, we are asked to solve for the 3rd derivative of such a function. In this video I show that a divergent series also means that the absolute value of the series is divergent. This follows from my earlier theorem that an absolutely convergent series is also convergent. Thus if the opposite were true, a divergent series would mean that it would be absolutely convergent, and hence convergent, which is a contradiction! Thus, the answer to the question is True, and a divergent series is also absolutely divergent. Note that I made a typo in the video, the absolute value sign should be inside the summation series. In this video I show that the sequence r^n is convergent and is equal to 0 when r is between 1 and -1. This is because a number whose absolute value is less than 1 becomes smaller and smaller each time it is multiplied. The negative sign only has it changing from positive to negative but the absolute value still becomes smaller. Thus the answer to the question is True. In this video I start a new series on Giza Pyramid Geometry and show that the mathematical constants pi, e, and the Golden Ratio are all encoded inside the Great Pyramid of Giza. The Great Pyramid of Giza was supposedly built in the early 26th century BC over a period of 27 years as a tomb for the pharaoh Khufu. The original height was 146.6 m and the base has a side length of 230.33 m, with a slope of 51.84 degrees, and a top angle of 76.31 degrees. If we scaled this down such that the height is 4 meters, we obtain several famous mathematical constants. The base side length becomes equal to 2pi and the cross-section slope length becomes pi∙phi where phi is the Golden Ratio. Furthermore, the number e is obtained from the equation 4∙slope / (top angle). Later in the video I do some further trigonometric calculations check for tangent, cosine, and sine of the slope. All the calculations were within 99.93% or more similar to the mathematical constants. This begs the question as to whether this was intentional, a coincidence, or merely the nature of optimal building construction methods and geometry. These questions and more will be explored in further videos! Also alluded to in the video is that the coordinates of the Giza Pyramid encode the speed of light in m/s, which is also a topic for a future video so stay tuned... In this video I show that if a series has all its terms less than the corresponding terms of a divergent series, then the series may or may not diverge. This question is just a misinterpretation of the Comparison Test, which should instead state that if a series has terms greater than those of a Divergent series, than that series also diverges. Having terms less than a divergent series is not enough information to state that series converges or diverges, thus the answer is False. In this video I demonstrate that a mountain's shadow on the clouds can only occur when the Sun is near or below the horizon, thus proving the Earth is not flat. When the Sun goes below or near the horizon, it can create shadows of tall objects such as buildings or mountains that are visible in the clouds, creating some stunning imagery. This phenomenon can not occur on a Flat Earth since it would literally mean the Sun is at ground level. Some "Flat Earthers" try to deny the obvious by stating the Sun is somehow reflecting off the ground and then back on the clouds which is too ludicrous to even entertain. Nonetheless, I do a simple table top experiment showing that the shadow of the Mountain can only go above it's elevation if the light source was below the mountain. I also test out what happens when the light is shown onto a mirror on the ground, which results in some interesting but very different shadows than what are actually observed in nature. In #911Truth Part 28 I have posted a compilation of photos of twisted, mangled, warped, and literally mutilated steel on 9/11. Although most of the steel from the World Trade Center (WTC) turned literally into dust in mid-air, the relatively few remaining pieces of steel experienced unconventional damage. Steel literally bending with no signs of cracking, steel glowing with no signs of heat present, subway beam sagging like melted chocolate, and steel columns twisted like noodles. Perhaps the most puzzling piece is pages from the Bible literally melted into steel instead of burning up. A passage from Matthew Chapter 5 is still visible, which involves Jesus urging his followers against retaliation. The closest resemblance to what happened to the steel comes in the form of the Hutchison Effect, named after Canadian inventor John Hutchison. John spent much of his life replicating Nikola Tesla's works and in many ways did just that. Using interfering bands of microwave radiation and static electricity, John was able to bend steel, levitate bowling balls, and even merge wood into steel; all without high heat.
