I definitely picked up recently that hummers do a lot of feeding during the evening times but the mornings never occurred to me due to me being at work. They also seem to love feeding in the rain. There's a certain one that always comes to my feeder during rain. Even when it was storming super hard, he was still at it.

The thing no one has commented on is the intelligence of the take down. Heavy on the rear hips, immediately attacks the spine, grabs its left side so it can’t roll onto its from hooves and immediately attacks the most vulnerable part. Extremely smart animal.

Our group got to watch a group of 11 humpback whales bubble net feeding on a whale watching tour in Juneau, Alaska, in August 2016. It was awesome! If the video says "This is the only place where they feed this way," then this must have been shot there. Our tour guide said that this is a learned behavior, and only 400 of the 10,000 living humpback whales have learned it so far. They did this about every 10 minutes for the hour we were there.

Imagine being an early new world explorer a thousand years ago, and seeing these MONSTERS leap out of the water. It must've been absolutely terrifying. Amazing footage.

Many people don't realize how strong and powerful these animals are. It takes a LOT of power to make a 10 ton animal jump over twenty feet out of the water!

I actually got to see one of these at sylvan heights bird aviary in north carolina. Very amazing, i liked the plush crested jays too, there very quite and shy unlike green jays
