CDC Director Redfield in 2020 saying face masks possibly more effective than vaccines An immunocompromised person might steer clear of social interactions, but instead goes and mingles with a mask. A sick / symptomatic person might stay home, but goes and mingles with a mask. Some have replied that no one ever said masks were anything more than mildly protective. Not true at all, as we see here.
