J6 fugitives caught, father reacts
This is a Jan. 19 interview with Ben Pollock. Two of his children, Jonny and Olivia, along with a family friend, Joseph Hutchinson, face charges in connection with the Jan. 6, 2021, breach of the U.S. Capitol Building. They were arrested at a Florida ranch on Jan. 6, 2024, after eluding the FBI.
Ben Pollock said they have no regrets.
“Like I’ve always said, we would do it all over again. America has to stand against this kind of corruption. You know, we don’t have a vote. We were there because we didn’t have a vote, and all we were asking Pence to do was just hold it up and look at the evidence. And and unfortunately, the politicians will not do that. They do not want to look at the evidence they have on on January 6th. It’s like our presidents said all along. The coup was on November 3rd. And if it’s a coup, why are the ones pointing out the coup in prison? You know, why did they have to shut us up? Because they do not want to look at the evidence. We’re going into another election, and they’re going to do something to to interrupt it because they do not want President Trump as a president. They want to they want to bring down America."
J6 defendant trusts in God
Nell Pollock reads letters from her granddaughter, Olivia, who is now in jail facing charges related to the Jan. 6, 2021, protests at the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C.
In one letter, Olivia writes that her time on the run gave her time to re-read the Bible and that helped make her faith stronger than ever.
"So I have got to follow his example and be a hope and a light to these ladies in here until God sees fit to set me free from this place, to minister elsewhere. No matter where God leads me, I know he has a purpose and a reason for me to be there. I'm trusting he will give me what I need to do it."
Former Army Ranger: "We are here as ambassadors for Christ"
This is an April 8 interview with Samuel Doolin, a former U.S. Army Ranger who was arrested in December on weapons charges.
In March, his younger brother, Joshua Doolin, was found guilty of charges related to the Jan. 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol.
Two of Samuel Doolin's cousins, Jonny and Olivia Pollock, have also been charged in connection with the Jan. 6 event. They, along with family friend Joseph Hutchinson, are on the run from the FBI.
Polk County sheriff's deputies arrested Samuel Doolin on Dec. 8 and accused him of possession of illegal firearms. I spoke with him outside the Pollock residence near Lakeland, Florida, as part of a documentary project I am doing.
Excerpt of interview:
People remember me for being a Ranger, remember me for being maybe even the Bible guy, but not they don't remember Christ. And that's the issue. I want to make sure I clear up that, you know, the gospel is that Christ came, God came that the one that made us our creator came, the one that gave us value, loved us so much that even in our wickedness, even though I'm wicked and I don't, I'm imperfect. And even though, like all even all the wicked leaders that are doing all this wickedness to people, he loved us so much that he sent his own son. He spared not even his own son because of his love for us. And he came. His son came and God in the flesh came and died for our sins, knowing that we will probably reject him, that we might have life. And not just the spiritual life in heaven, but more life on Earth, more abundant and free.
He came to set the captives free. And so that's that's the thing I want to get across, that when I speak to the judges and stuff, I try to get it across. If they'll let me and I don't wish ill on the people that wish me harm, I really don't. I look at it. If it's harm to me, I want that man to know Christ in spite of me. I don't want him to remember my case or even if he wronged me, I want him to remember Christ and the change his life for that greater thing. And so I want him to have that personal relationship. We can work for God. God doesn't want us to work for him. He primarily wants us to have that relationship and out of that relationship he will use us. And so the only reason I'm standing and doing all these things is for others, good. The only reason I wish evil that the stop the evil, the fight, the evil is because if that evil won't turn to God, I still have to remember my brother and love the oppressed. And so that's that's where I'm coming from.
It's about loving your brother. And so I guess that's the the main point of it all.
Father to fugitive children: "Don't ever turn yourself in"
The FBI is searching for Jonny and Olivia Pollock in connection with the Jan. 6 revolt at the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C.
Jonny has been at large since June 2021. His older sister, Olivia, failed to appear for her trial in Washington earlier this month and an arrest warrant was issued.
Their father, Ben Pollock, said he worries about his children, but he is proud of them for standing up for their beliefs.
In a March 19 interview, Ben told me:
“And if I could speak to them right now, I said, ‘Don't ever give up and don't ever turn yourself in.’ I told them, ‘What ever happens to your mama and me, you know,’ when this was all beginning and we knew how corrupt it was, I told them, ‘Don't ever give up.’ I said, ‘You got to show America that you can stand against this.’”

Run, Jonny, Run
The FBI considers Jonathan Daniel Pollock to be armed and dangerous, but his family members in Lakeland, Florida, say it's not true and they fear for his safety.
This video contains excerpts from my interview with Olivia Pollock and her brother, Gabriel Pollock, a gun shop owner who was not at the Capitol in January, but supports Jonny and worries about his fate.

Jan. 6 defendant: "We don't get a fair shake"
A Jan. 1, 2022, interview with Joseph Hutchinson, a Florida man who has been charged in connection with the Jan. 6 protests in Washington, D.C.
Excerpts of the interview:
"I'm just normal guy who, you know, just decided to go to a protest. You know, that's pretty much all it is.
"I was arrested June 30th. I got a call from the FBI. And, you know, at first, I didn't think it was real because, you know, they always say the FBI doesn't call you. We're never going to call you. They tried to ask me questions, which I told them I wasn't going to answer any questions because, you know, it's not their business.
"I feel like we don't get a fair shake because like what the media has done, everybody on social media, especially if they're left leaning, you know, traitors or terrorists, you know. They think you're the worst thing that's ever existed, you know? I mean, I just kind of shrug it off. It's not the biggest deal in the world.
"As of right now, we have another status hearing in February. We have not seen the evidence against us yet. It's been over a hundred and fifty days that I've been on house arrest and haven't seen a single piece of evidence against me.
"Well, like for sure, like if I wasn't saved and I didn't believe that there was a higher purpose for my life or for God's Kingdom, I don't know how you'd make it through this because I mean, they've literally, you know, you don't have the freedom to go wherever you want. You don't know what your future holds, you know? And as a Christian, if I go to prison, I can use that for God's glory. Everything I do can always be for God's glory, so that is kind of something to look forward to. You know, no matter what, I always have a purpose in Christ. So like, if I didn't have that, it'd be it'd be really difficult, you know?"

Brother of J6 defendant: "We're in the Lord's hands"
Jan. 1, 2022, interview with Gabriel Pollock, the owner of Rapture Guns and Knives in Lakeland, Florida, and brother of Olivia and Johnny Pollock, both of whom have been charged in connection with the Jan. 6 protests in Washington, D.C.
This video also includes comments from Thomas Osborne, who took part in the Jan. 6 event. He and Gabriel say the government investigation has had a profound impact on their lives and that of their family and friends.
The FBI is “just they're putting more and more pressure on people," Gabriel Pollock said.
On Dec. 23, the FBI gave Gabriel a subpoena ordering him to testify before a grand jury in Washington, D.C. He said he doesn't know exactly what they are investigating or what he'll be asked.
Pollock's brother, Johnny, remains at large. His sister, Olivia, must wear an ankle monitor pending trial and has not been given a court date.
"We still have prisoners, Jan. 6 prisoners, that are still locked up in prison that have not received a court date," Gabriel Pollock said.
"Nobody's actually gone to trial over this yet, and it's been over a year. We're right at that anniversary, right there at the year anniversary, and people still have not received a court date.
"Our right to a speedy trial is is thrown out the window. When you're serving a year in prison and you haven't even stood before a judge, you know there's something wrong. The system is broken. And that's why I feel that there is a huge disconnect between the federal government and we, the people, who give the federal government their power. They no longer work for us. They have they have separated themselves from the rule of the people, and they're working independent of our will. And that's very scary.”
