Santa Fe FP45 Paint Schemes Ho scale Reivew
Here you all go something I have been working on for quite a while I'm glad I'm trying to collect all these versions of these 8 prototypes through out their time of Service of the Santa Fe Railroad pre merger. from when they where first delivered in 1967 and served the railroad till 1995 when the Santa Fe merged with Burlington Northern. These model versions have been made by Athearn Trains part of their Genesis series they are great models but old electronics that I don't like so I'm overhauling them to new electronics to run better including better lighting. This is Ho scale models we are talking about here.

North County Model Railroading Soceity 5
Here is a nice view of my model train running on the North County Model Railroading Society in Oceanside CA. I put a Go Pro Hero 3 on a Bulk head flat car at the rear of my train you will see my train clubs layout from both sides of the car but sadly the battery dies way to quickly on this model of go pro so I'm hoping someday I will get another model with better battery life. we model the San Diego area including downtown with the famous Santa Fe Station. this is part 1 their will be more too. here is the website for the club and with a layout diagram http://ncmrs.org/ I hope you pay us a visit and donate to keep our club running and upgrading the layout with new animations.

Model Train Update 5/15/2024
I'm installing leds on the step wells of my FP-45 and F45 Ho scale Athearn Genesis models for both front and back and many other locomotives will receive this update. this does take a great amount of Patients. the leds I'm installing 402 which is the smallest leds I think their are I could be wrong. I will also will be installing leds 603 which is bigger than the 402s so I can make sure I have more leds of headlights beacon lights and so on.

Santa Fe Black Bonnet Goose 4-6-4 BLI Ho scale reivew
Here is my Santa Fe Black Bonnet Goose Fantasy Paint Scheme in Ho Scale. I had this pre order from train world its a great place to order things like this. Santa Fe Black Bonnets never really existed from the Santa Fe Railroad this is more of what if they where still around and experimented paint schemes.

How to Dim your lights on your locomotive Ho scale
Hi everyone here you will see on how to dim your leds that you got via athearn or you custom made for your ho scale locomotive in this case you will learn how to program Tsunami 2 EMD 2 PNP decoder now the master cv for brightness on your lights is CV64 value 0-255 and you will need to use a throttle either digitrax or NCE power cab I used CV64-Value 125 or 100 to ensure the lights are more dim. Now if you want more prototypical lets say for when your train is on a siding and a train is passing you but your lights are still to bright that can blind the train crew of the oncoming train you will need to set up CV63- Value 0-255 I would say set the value of 100 or 85 that way you can make it more prototypical.

How to install a DCC PNP Decoder for your locomotive Part 1
Okay here I'm installing a brand new DCC decoder this is a little computer chip that controls the lights, sounds, and movement of the locomotive. This is a Tsunami 2 EMD 2 decoder this particular decoder allows me to use LEDs now before you couldn't do that with the last gen decoders they really weren't the great you could only use Incandescent bulbs which had a tendency to burn out very quickly. with LEDs they are longer lasting and bright now I do advise everyone to use 1kohm resistors 1/4 or 1/2 watt to ensure you don't pop or burn out the LEDs. I will show how you can do that in the next video what I'm doing here is preping the decoder for installment and soldering of the wires but I'm also waiting on the speakers I ordered for these 2 locomotives these didn't come with speakers or a decoder so I had to buy some speakers and current keep alive. again when all the other items I order get here you will all be the first to see how I do that. For now just prep work. I wire everything in one go.

53' GSC Bulkhead Flatcar Santa Fe #93101Ho scale review
okay here is another review of another piece of Santa Fe Rolling stock I'm not really sure on this one I'm playing catch up on this particular car from the looks of it it's a modified flat car to keep loads from shifting back and forth when the train goes into emergency braking. I'm really not sure on this one but looks like it was used to carry wood, plywood loads and other types of things.

Hi everyone sorry I have been away for a while but to make it up to you all here is a Review on a piece of rolling stock I got recently I'm wanting to build a lot of Unit trains of the Santa Fe when the railroad was not merged with B.N. now known as BNSF which I'm not a fan off. I got this piece of rolling stock to add with my Santa Fe TOFC train I'm building for now until I can build another train just for the auto racks but hey always room for more knowledge on my Railroad I love so much.

Santa Fe Ho scale 2-8-0 Consdialtion BLI Review
Hi everyone Happy New Years this one is from last year sorry about uploading these now a lot of them have to be edited and make sure I don't have anything that might upset people so they have to be PG so everyone can watch these with issues but anyways I got this new model for switching and I'm so happy I got this loco for switching in case my mike is down these loco have rubber traction tires that fall off if you let them sit in certain temps so keep an eye on that or when your cleaning the wheels. but very nice little locomotives they run great and they have capacitors to keep them running over dirty track.
