"I'm calling you out": The Sower, the Precepts, &the Pope- Fr Stanislaus of Guadalupe-Sexigesima '23
In this week's sermon Father recalls the Raising of Lazarus and Our Lord's challenge that should call out to the very depths of each of our souls: do we know and do we follow the Precepts of the Holy Catholic Church? In the Epistle reading, St. Paul's exhortation to the stubborn Corinthians reflects the modern Chuch and the modern world. A true Christian follows the hallowed steps of Christs' suffering and death in order to understand and receive the promises of His Resurrection. The centuries-old "Gesima" season is intended to call each one of us out and to challenge our immortal souls.

Traditional vs Novus Ordo Catholic who wins the race? Fr Stanislaus of Guadalupe Septuagesima 2/5/23
When ascribing the readings from Holy Scripture that the Church gives to us today to the modern phenomenon of the so-called "traditional" Catholic as opposed to a Catholic with a more "post Vatican II" persuasion, it fosters a delicate subject, indeed. Father Stanislaus expresses in today's homily, as we begin the Great Lent, the importance of focusing on the task and the prize as professed so eloquently by St. Paul in his letter to the Corinthians and promised to us by a guarantee of true faith in Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as told in the Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew.

The Popes job is to savor, to flavor, and to preserve| Feast of St Francis DeSales IV Sunday 1/29/23
St. Francis De Sales eloquently defined the Primacy of Peter. Fr. Stanislaus of Guadalupe uses his teaching to expound on the "Salt of the earth" designation Our Lord assigns to His Apostles from the Sermon on the Mount.

"If you have not forgotten, you have not yet forgiven" Fr Stanislaus of Guadalupe, FMCD 1/22/23
For the III Sunday after the Epiphany, Fr. Stanislaus presents a very difficult teaching in today's sermon. Ask yourself this question, "Do I have to forget to truly forgive?" If you have a proper Roman Catholic perspective and understand the answer just might be tough to accept.
