In some Battlefield games
a player can use a medic's taser to respawn a badly wounded teammate to avoid the reduction in respawn points. A critically wounded teammate will die after a few seconds on the ground and can choose to respawn, which will reduce his respawn points by one.
Game rules Conquest mode
Conquest, sometimes referred to as Capture the Flag, is the signature mode of the Battlefield franchise and has been featured in every Battlefield game. Players split into two opposing teams with the goal of killing enemies and capturing strongholds on the map. In the game, the flagpole represents the location of the stronghold, while the colour and pattern of the flag represents the side in control. The side with the most strongholds can cause the other side to respawn less often. Both sides start out with a certain number of respawn points. Each time a player dies and respawns, the respawn points are reduced by one. When a side's respawn points are reduced to zero, or all of the side's strongholds are captured, or all of the side's players die and refuse to respawn, that side loses the game.
However, after Battlefield 2
EA DICE has rarely mentioned support for custom modules. None of the Battlefield series games released since 2007, such as Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield: Renegade Company 2, have released modding tools, and EA DICE has stated that even Battlefield 3 will not offer a robust modding program, but at best will only release modding tools with simple functionality.
The expansions have reached their
peak in Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2, with more than a hundred medium and large modules available for both games. Third-party-made modules contain new weapons, vehicles, maps and other elements, and even add new details to the setting and rules of the game, thus catering for players of all hobbies. With just one Battlefield game, players are able to experience different styles of warfare, from the Battle of Pfhor to science fiction warfare, and from strong entertainment to strong realism.

Sabotage effects
Destruction effects are a feature of the new generation of Battlefield games. Since Battlefield: Renegade Force, some Battlefield games have used the Frost engine, which supports environment-wide destruction effects. In Battlefield games using the Frost Engine, more than 90% of objects, including buildings and trees, can be destroyed. When rendering destruction effects, the game does not use too many system resources and runs smoothly without dropping too low. In Battlefield: Rebel Company 2, buildings can collapse in their entirety and be completely destroyed; some small objects can be blown to even greater pieces; and the percentage of destructible objects is 99%.
Some Battlefield games
have a commander system in addition to the squad system
Commanders can deploy to squads and provide support such as enemy intelligence, artillery and ammunition supplies. However, as it is not easy to gain the power of a commander in a game, the commander's abilities are gradually being replaced by ability unlocks linked to game performance.
Since Battlefield 2 the game
has introduced a squad system. Squad leaders can give orders to their team members, while squads can respawn around the squad leader. In addition, squads can talk to each other internally by voice, so squads can form a flexible, powerful combat unit for missions. Players can also choose not to join any squads and fight "lone wolf", but this is generally less efficient.
Different types of soldiers have different
equipment and are suited to different tasks. Only when each type of soldier plays its role properly can the team gain an advantage in the confrontation. Troop types can be broadly divided into assault troopers, which are the main attackers, support troopers, which provide ammunition, medical and repair services for coordinated combat, and scouts, which provide information on the front line and behind enemy lines. Some games have a finer division of some of the categories, with the most being the seven soldier types that appear in Battlefield 2.
Teamwork In a battlefield
with so many vehicles, fighting alone can only lead to a melee, so every game in the Battlefield series has a strong focus on teamwork.
There are different types of troops to choose from.

Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 2, Battlefield 3
, Battlefield 5 and Battlefield 2042 all support up to 64 players online at the same time.
In the late 2000s, titles such as Battlefield: Renegade Company, Battlefield 1943 and Battlefield: Heroes were limited by technology to support up to 24 or even fewer players, but accordingly, the pace of combat was sped up, thus increasing the thrill of the game. 2011 saw EA DICE reveal Battlefield 3, the official sequel to Battlefield 2, to the outside world, emphasising the importance of having a grand scale is an element of the Battlefield series.
Large scale
To accommodate the variety of vehicles, maps in the Battlefield series can typically be tens of hectares in size, with scenarios set in open areas with small towns and military bases. In some third-party modules, maps can even be several square kilometres in size. Some Battlefield games also offer scaled-down versions of the maps, which are suitable for skirmishes with low numbers of players. The maps are not bounded by obstacles, but a map representation indicates the range in which players can move, and players who do not return within a certain time frame will be cut down to the point of death.
Early Battlefield 1942 had an abundance of maritime vehicles
including landing craft, submarines, battleships, destroyers and more. However, battles between sea vehicles slowed down the pace of the game, so the post-Battlefield 1942 games in the series have drastically reduced the size of their sea vehicles, with Battlefield 2 and Battlefield: Renegade Company leaving only one water vehicle, while Battlefield 2042 does not have any water vehicles. Most vehicles are allowed to carry more than two occupants, and some have occupants who can control special weapons. In theory, there are enough vehicles for more than half the players on each map. Vehicles are destroyed and respawned at the stronghold, so the battle of the vehicles can continue from the beginning of the game to the end. Battlefield: Renegade Force 2 includes a vehicle customisation system that allows players to choose different attachments for their vehicles.

Air vehicles
Helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft are the most difficult vehicles to operate in the game, but they are a thrill for many players. There are generally more pronounced differences in performance parameters between different models of aircraft, with some favouring agility and others attacking with great power. Most games in the Battlefield series have parachutes for soldiers.

Land vehicles
Light assault vehicles and heavily armoured tanks, some games will also have jeeps, armoured personnel carriers, anti-aircraft vehicles and single four-wheelers. The same type of vehicle from different forces is generally similar in terms of performance settings.
Diverse vehicles
All Battlefield titles have a wide range of vehicles, which can be divided into three categories: land, sea and air. There are enough vehicles for more than half of the players on the game map.
