CDA School Board Discussion about Student-Led Dress Policy Update
The CDA School Board hears about a draft dress code policy update that was written through the lens of a student's wants instead of a realistic standard of dress. The board denied the draft and told the assistant superintendent to go back to the drawing board.

CDA City Council Amending FY23 Budget to include new appropriations
Coeur d'Alene is knee deep in the FY24 budget season but there are still a few FY23 housekeeping items that the city needs to complete before they can close out the fiscal year. This is a process that happens at the end every fiscal year; per Idaho code 50-1003, the city must pass an ordinance for any expenditure that goes above the adopted budget and needs to be appropriated into the right budget category. This ordinance is called the Amending Appropriations Ordinance and is required to give a blanket approval for all expenses that came up after the budget was originally adopted last year.

Patrick Henry's "Liberty or Death" Speech Modernized by John Ward
John Ward recently privatized all his videos on YouTube but I wanted to memorialize this particular video because we watch it ALL the time. This video helps people get pumped up for our Founding Fathers, the Constitution, and what badasses they were, especially for their age. The original YT link was https://youtu.be/0biMXee_Uqo and I hope John Ward publicizes it again soon.

FACT: It is shameful to bully children because you don't like their parents
The fake Kootenai County GOP page and fake North Idaho Republican PAC followers applaud bullying at a Little League tournament because they don't like one's dad. No matter who the dad is, it doesn't matter. You DON'T BULLY CHILDREN, NEAR CHILDREN, AT CHILDREN, no matter who their parents are!

CDA School District Meeting 7-10-23 Morrisroe Comments 2
Final comments by Morrisroe include his annoyance that these course proposal forms were due December 23, 2022 and the board is just now receiving them for approval – and there are already students signed up to take these courses! Morrisroe again says that these new remedial math courses are lessening of standards for students and feel like a participation trophy. He is going to wait to see a side-by-side comparison before making any decisions on approval.

CDA School District Meeting 7-10-23 Morrisroe Comments 1
Casey Morrisroe has asked for a side-by-side comparison of the integrated math classes vs. the new Math Concepts classes to see how they line up. Morrisroe is concerned that these new Concepts classes are a “lessening of standards for kids who are struggling a little bit to get them through math.”

KC Spectator Benchmark Advance ELA Observations
CDA Schools wants to buy new elementary ELA curriculum for $1.3M and CRT is riddled throughout. These are my observations after spending many hours with the physical curriculum at the library. This is a multi-part series and I have all the parts up on TikTok. This is a compilation of all the videos.
