Using a velvet stitch adds dimension and texture to your piece… You use regular embroidery thread. Sewing over the same spot again and again. When it’s finished you simple cut the threads open and let them bloom. Normally you’d use tone on tone to create depth, but I just couldn’t resist using these bright neons on the black fabric! Turban wraps are great... and so simple to make! Except when you do it like me and take a month off in between, forget what you're doing, and end up with a slightly shortened project. It was still cute though. Join me in making a soft, breathable summer head wrap out of any print you like. I made Astros this time but it could be any adorable cotton print.
