When our founders refer to the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God in the Declaration, they are making specific reference to the God of the Bible, the God of Christianity... not some generic deity or Islam or Buddhism or Hinduism or anything else.

America can only function properly when her people follow the principles of Christ in their daily lives and in their professions. That doesn’t mean that every American must be a theologian first or even a Christian, but it does mean, regardless of what our profession is, we must implement the teachings of Christ into all that we do. Congress has no right to take even one penny from Americans in order to “give” to those who do not. There is nothing kind or caring about it because it is not giving out of our own time or finances, but by taking from others. This is just another example of why it is so important to remember that America is a Christian nation built on the principles of Christ. The welfare state, particularly redistribution of wealth by force, has never coincided with the teachings of Christ. We need lawyers and doctors, teachers and administrators, plumbers and electricians, Marines and Airmen, and parents most of all who follow the teachings of Christ. America is great because we are good. It isn’t our strength or speed or intellect, but our character that makes us great. As soon as we stop being good we stop being great. We have lost common sense and common decency in America because we have forgotten our founding faith and principles based on the teachings of Christ and therefore forgotten who we are. We have lost the honesty, integrity and virtues that made our nation great and we must get them back or forever be lost as a nation of free men. The truth is often unsettling to people, especially if we don’t want to see it or don’t like what it shows us about ourselves. The inconvenient truth today for many people is that the modern myth of separation of church and state is a complete lie. The times America has been truly great; the times we have acted noble and righteous are the times we have followed our founding faith and principles based on the teachings of Christ. The times we have failed as a nation are the times we have walked away from Christ, from God and the Bible as a nation. If we do not have a people who follow the principles of Christ, we do not have our republic. The latter cannot survive without the former. Even outside observers have acknowledged this truth. The idea that we can somehow be moral in finance or government or education or any other profession, but immoral in our personal lives and that everything will work just fine is absurd. This is just an extension of the modern lie of separation of church and state. If we are immoral in our personal lives it is only a matter of time before that appears in our professional careers. Even people outside of America know we were born a Christian nation. They see that the only way we maintain our greatness is by following God. It is not our own strength or wisdom, not our massive economy or military might that makes us great. It is our reliance upon God.

The Declaration of Independence relies on God, the Father of Jesus Christ, for our rights, for morality, and for protection. Without God there can be no Declaration. It is no mistake that America is a Christian nation. Our founding fathers meant this to be the case. From Columbus, to the Mayflower, to our Declaration, to state mottos and more, America is shown to have been born a Christian nation. The modern myth of separation of church and state is a flat lie and was never intended by our founders. Without the principles of Christ in our government and institutions our republic simply will not function.

Our republic has not always followed her founding faith and principles, that is when the problems have arisen. But overwhelming evidence shows that this land has long been a Christian nation and was intended to be such by those brave men and women who founded her. When we follow Christ’s principles, that is when our nation is great. We must get back to that, to God.

From Columbus, to our founding, to the present day, the amount of evidence is overwhelming—America was founded and can only survive as a Christian nation. Our states have acknowledged this. Our presidents have acknowledged this. Our Supreme Court justices have acknowledged this. Our educators and colleges have acknowledged this. The modern myth of separation of church and state is an absolute lie.

We have wrongly taken Christ out of our families and out of education. Without Christ so many of our young people and veterans today find themselves alone and adrift in the world. Sadly, many of them turn to suicide as the only solution they see. This is why we must unapologetically stand up for our republic’s founding faith and principles and get them back in the classroom.

Over the last 18 months our nation has been ripped apart over the false narrative that America is systemically racist and oppressive. Our cities have been burned. Our history has been destroyed. Innocents have been beaten and killed. Law enforcement officers who serve to defend us have been attacked and marked for mob style execution. Businesses have been ransacked and looted. Lives and livelihoods have been destroyed. This is done and supported by people who are, by their actions, championing criminals over law abiding citizens and promoting the very racism they claim to stand against. We need to remember that the times America has been racist and oppressive are the times that we have gone against her founding faith and principles, against the “system” if you will; not when we have followed them.

Our founding generation knew that we needed God, that we needed the principles of Christ in our country, not allah or mother nature, or some random deity. Over a century later our leaders still acknowledged this truth. The modern lie of separation of church and state regarding Christianity is just that, modern, and a lie.

The man who led us through the civil war; the man who shepherded our nation through ending slavery, knew we needed the Bible in our lives. He knew that if we wanted to be a truly free and great people we had to follow the teachings of Christ; not Allah or Mother Nature or some generic deity. That includes both our people and our politicians.

Our great presidents—from the founding generation, to Lincoln and Grant, all the way to Regan and beyond—have known that it is impossible to have America function properly without God in our government and institutions. They didn’t want God out of our politics, but desperately wanted Him in them.
