Today we revisited Astley Hall. Our first time back since it reopened last year. It was cool to see rooms open that weren’t before! It’s interesting how a lot of the local Halls and big houses have historical ties to each other via births / marriages / deaths. A couple weeks back we went round Hoghton Tower. I had to do a quick google search as my memory isn’t great. Anyway Sir Henry Philip HOGHTON, 7th Bt born 12 Jun 1768 married 13 Nov 1797 Susanna Parker (b. c. 1762; widow of Thomas TOWNLEY Parker; d. 8 Dec 1852; bur. at Chorley, co. Lancaster), only dau. and hrss. of Peter Brooke, of ASTLEY Hall, co. Lancaster, by his wife Susanna Crookall, dau. of James Crookall, of Clifton, co. Lancaster History intrigues me. And how if you were working class, a blue collar worker, you never married above your station. The same for middle class and of course the most wealthy. We forget that we are all, each and everyone of us, born ABUNDANT. All we have to do is tap into what is around us. There really is enough of everything to go around. But ‘they’ don’t want us to know that. And of course we’re drip fed a FEAR and SCARCITY mindset from birth — how to prepare for employment and how to be reliant on the system, to live within our means, ‘save for a rainy day’. We’re never taught how to actually make enough money to LIVE the lifestyle we desire not what our income dictates. I can’t shout it loud enough that the systems and support in place via the online affiliate marketing I do can allow you to live as you choose, not how society and your ‘class’ state. THE POWER OF NOW!…. I’m reading snippets each day and what a brilliant read! Takeaways…. Realise that the present moment is all we ever have. Wherever you are, be there TOTALLY. STOP focusing on the past and future. STOP being concerned with the result of your action, instead, give attention to the action itself. If you can’t leave or change a situation, then accept it. Stress is caused by being ‘here’ but wanting to be ‘there.’ Enjoy EVERY moment of EVERY process. Because if you reduce the present moment to simply a means to an end, the now will never be good enough. STOP waiting for something to happen or to change just so you can feel excited about life. LIVE IN THE NOW and practice gratitude for the present moment ❤️ I enjoy my job but what I don’t enjoy are the hours, and the time it takes me away from my family and the life I truly desire. I can either be miserable, stress and moan, and waste precious time (once it has passed, it’s passed) Or I can put in action and forge ahead setting things up so that in a couple years time I won’t need the 9-5, and enjoy exactly where I am whilst I do that. Do you find yourself getting wrapped up in past thoughts and worry of what might happen in the future? We all do it. It’s our thoughts, drifting minds, past regrets and future anxieties that jeopardise our present moment happiness 🧘‍♀️Try this: take a moment to PAUSE, deep breath in that pause, and be aware of the pause 🧘‍♀️ Life happens here and now in this present moment. Life is nothing more than a series of present moments. Remember: The only important time is NOW, the PRESENT. This is where everything happens. Everything we feel and sense takes place in the present. The past is nothing more than all present moments that have been and gone. The future is just a collection of all present moments waiting to happen. We can’t control our past or future events and we mustn’t wish back the past or resist the future. Stop worrying over what’s been and might be. Live life in the present, accept life as it is; of course have HUGE goals and MASSIVE dreams, learn from the past and plan for the future in this present moment!! ❤️

Just before bed last night it was brought to my attention about the two dogs which the MET police SHOT DEAD only a few days back! I’ve seen a few videos now, including one of the woman that seemingly put those wheels in motion. I can’t wrap my head around it. I feel heartbroken. They weren’t even my dogs, I don’t know them or their guardian, so why do I feel as sad as I do? I’m trying to unravel the emotions that this has brought up for me. Is it because I went to sleep on the sad news…and seeing it just before I shut my eyes? Is it because they were sentient beings? Killed in what appeared to be cold blood? That the screaming banshee looked to be completely manic? And it appears lied? That the police have power AND guns?…an obvious deadly combo What precedence has this set if folk aren't held accountable? I’m struggling to think positively tonight for a reel as all I can see is what’s happened in my minds eye. Isn’t it ‘funny’ how something nothing to do with us can impact us so greatly at times!?! I’m aware that I need to shake myself out of this feeling. I’m also aware that it will be nothing compared to those dogs guardian. I know that we all get sad from time to time, and sometimes triggers can come out the blue. So I have turned to Abraham Hicks to help get me back into the vortex and back to a positive state 🙌 ⭐️If you are aware that you've been feeling more sad than happy, more overwhelmed than exhilarated, more angry than joyful…If you are leaning in those directions, what it means is you’ve been letting the environment around you train you into a vibration that is NOT natural to you. ⭐️Accept that you’re sad, just don’t wallow and let it all consume you. Acknowledge that at this moment, you are not thinking or acting, from your highest perspective. You can’t move immediately from a sad state to a state of love. ⭐️Know that your negative emotions are helping you to lead a better life. Our negative moods are just as important as our positive ones. They help us know that our current thoughts are out of alignment with our Inner Being, and show us how to move from where we are to where we want to be. ⭐️Accept those and you can then move back into alignment gradually…from negative to positive thoughts. Remember: There is ALWAYS something to acknowledge and be thankful for. When you’re focusing on things you appreciate, you’re raising your vibration and allowing in well-being and feelings of love. The longer you hold onto that, the better you’ll feel. You can’t be focused on the negative if you’re focused on the positive. It really comes down to guiding or directing your thoughts. Today we spent the afternoon at Hoghton Tower. I absolutely loved it! I have zero time for royalty and all the pageantry, but since having Ava I do enjoy history and looking around old buildings. When James 1st visited, he took 300 staff and whoever was living at the tower went bankrupt and spent 18months in jail as a result…all because the king paid £0 towards his stay…when Prince Philip visited, he paid nothing either!! Lords would burn their roofs down if they knew a visit from the king/queen was a possibility as it was cheaper to rebuild a roof or house than fund a stay…says a lot really!! We had the most adorable little old man, Eric , as a tour guide. He’s been volunteering as a guide the last 13 years since he retired, and bless him, his wife died a couple years ago, so this continues to keep him busy. He kissed my hand as we shook goodbye and thank you ☺️ We bumped into Sir Bernard on our way out…he had a bottle of wine with him…. ‘is that for me?’ I asked…turns out it was for the guides. He used to do all the tours at one point, but is now too old. Ava said he was there when we first arrived, sat in the booking office. He seemed a nice guy. The gardens are beautiful too. You can really imagine living there and letting the dogs out on the land! I can’t wait to go back. We’re going to book for a ghost tour in Winter. Apparently it’s the third most haunted in the UK! MY BESTEST ~ LOVE OF MY LIFE ❤️ This time 12 years ago half my waters had broken and I was given pitocin, which come the afternoon had caused the contractions to be so bloody painful I was wishing I’d not said I didn’t want any pain relief….accept the bloody pain relief!! 🤣 Anyway around 10pm this one was born. She’s changed my life in so many ways. I’ve learnt I’m not as patient as I thought or as I’d like to be, I can get ridiculously stomach churningly anxious, I hate that so many jobs are left or remain unfinished. I’m not perfect and I say I’m sorry A LOT, probably less than I should! I LOVE my ‘alone’ time (though with two dogs and four cats, I’m never really alone, lol) Though she drives me absolutely crazy, and I’m getting greyer by the day, I wouldn’t have her any other way. I adore how sassy and confident she is, she’s sooooo sarcastic, funny and quick witted ~ I’m not, so never stand a chance(send help!) Shes beautiful, kind and caring. She’s stubborn, knows and speaks her own mind. She’s certainly her own person! Having her makes my life all the more ‘interesting’. “LIFE IS HAPPENING FOR YOU” I absolutely love learning about all this, and how to see things differently. It puts a whole different spin on things and makes everything exciting and achievable. I’m learning that trusting the Universe isn't just about wishing for something, or hoping to be saved. It's about being practical, about approaching our fears head on and learning what specific limiting beliefs we have that we need to let go of (money fears, scarcity mindset, self doubt, not feeling worthy or good enough etc etc) Too often we hang onto ways we can continue to hide, and avoid stepping up don’t we!? What serves me is knowing that I’m determined to succeed, face every fear and limiting belief in my life with the universe at my back. For certain, it’s not always easy. We have to step up and do whatever it takes to create the life we dream of, and of course this is usually when the universe promptly hands us a challenge. Most recently for me, it’s been a bloody frustrating situation and a rather challenging new neighbour. It’s when we are on an upgrade that the universe tests us again, this time it said ‘great, now you get to learn how to really step up and take care of yourself by facing these challenging people’ We have to trust that everything will always be okay. The best way of course is to trust yourself. Learn what is preventing you from stepping up. Then let go of that specific thought, belief, assumption or whatever it is. Know that the universe is loving you by serving you, even if that doesn’t please you. Recognise that the universe is in you. Everything that can guide you is already within you. You are safe to trust the universe, to trust YOU and be in this fully! So, I’m interested…If even the most painful periods of your life happened so you could become who you are meant to be. This month is all about mindfulness and being fully aware of our thoughts and feelings! Not letting any negativity run and stop us working towards our goals! I saw this quote earlier and wanted to share: One idle thought doesn't make a whole lot of difference. Thoughts are like drops of water. You drop a drop of water and it doesn't mean much. But if you keep dropping and keep dropping, you get a puddle on the floor. And then you can get a little pond. And a lake. And finally, you can create an ocean. And with our own thoughts, we can drown in a sea of negativity, or we can float on the ocean of life. And it's up to us. The thoughts we think accumulate. And what sort of puddles are you standing in? ... When we're willing to change our thinking we can change our experiences. You can make changes, always. ~ Louise Hay from her 1989 seminar, "Dissolving Barriers" Remember : A thought is not a fact – a thought is just a thought. Our lives can be filled with circumstances not of our choosing. It’s at these times that we must be careful with our thoughts and highest intentions, and not be controlled by external factors. We need to take mindful action to remain in the present moment and not get absorbed in runaway thoughts. CTA: Practice non attachment - Give up your sense of self. Let go of ‘I’, ‘ME’ and ‘MINE’ because that just boosts the ego and prevents you from being contented with your life. The ego always finds a way to be unhappy and unsatisfied. Focus on the inner work, not the outcome. Stop being passive and use every second you have to do something about your goals!! If we judge our life based on a snapshot of where we are, we miss out on what is yet to unfold. To live a remarkable life, you must take consistent action in spite of your thoughts, fears and doubts ❤️

I see so many people become parents and think they have to give up the gym, their favourite fitness class, buy crappy food (because it’s cheaper), put themselves last, stop pampering themselves as often, if ever, even though self love is important in making us feel great. (If I’m honest this has been me) I also see people having successful businesses or roles in companies that require so much of their time and energy that they don’t have much left to enjoy what they work so hard for!
