Bows and Burbot - Boysen Reservoir Mid Winter Ice Fishing - Central Wyoming
In this video I headed west 100 miles from home to ice fish a reservoir.
I'd normally go to one of the closer local lakes, but nearly every day that I've had off from work has been far too windy.
The reservoir that I fished in this episode typically has nice calm days and is worth the drive if you want to avoid the wind.
I met up with my cousin Mike and another really great friend.
There's nothing better than spending time outdoors with those people you are closest to, and this was one of those days.

Huge Fall Run Browns - Too Many Perfect Fish to Count - Deep Cold Canyon In Wyoming
In this episode I finally lined up a fishing day with one of the best fish runs of the year. I've been here a few times this fall, but the conditions weren't right and I didn't catch as many of these great fish as I wanted,
But now I'm back here and the water is filled with huge colored up brown trout. Such a fun fishing trip. I wish every day was like this.

Massive Fall Slab Rainbows and Monster Walleye - Boysen Reservoir - Inexpensive Berkley Crank Baits
In this episode, I headed out to Boysen Reservoir with a really good friend. We targeted Huge Fall Rainbows that we planned to bring home for dinner. We also hooked into a monster bonus walleye that also made the trip home for dinner. Come check out this great fishing trip where we used the less expensive Berkley Iridescent Metallic Fire Tiger Crankbaits and just slayed the monster trout.

Wyoming Cow Elk Hunt 2021 - Wind River Mountains - Filling the Freezer - Meat Tag
In this episode, I got to take part in my first hunt in over a decade with My cousin Mike Conner.
I had moved out of state for quite a while for work, but now I'm back in my hom, estate doing the things that make it worth living here.
There's a huge abundance of wildlife here and seemingly endless opportunities to hunt and fish.
We hunted the southern end of the Wind River Mountains for cow elk. It was a draw type tag and not a general tag.
Somehow myself and 4 other family members drew this area.
The rifle that I hunted with was a polymer stock Browning X-bolt in .308: https://www.browning.com/products/firearms/rifles/x-bolt.html
I used an inexpensive but good Burris Fulfield E1 Scope: https://www.cabelas.com/shop/en/burris-fullfield-e1-rifle-scope

Catching Huge Trout - Saving a Baby Bull Snake - Fremont Canyon - Alcova Reservoir
In this episode I took another great trip to my favorite spot in Fremont Canyon in Central Wyoming. I knew the big browns were starting stack up in that great pool that fish just can't get past this time of year. I made the trip and fished with Panther Martins and Copper John type flies.
One of the fish I caught was an amazing fall rainbow with huge dots on its back. On the way in and out of the canyon I trolled crank-baits and caught a few trout. I also rescued a little bull snake that somehow ended up in a place where he wouldn't survive. I took him out of the canyon to an environment that could support him and enable him to den up for the winter.

Once Fish Filled Lake Is Now Dead - Exploring the Wind River Mountains - This Lake Has Winter-Killed
In this episode, we continue our multi day adventure in the Southern Wind River Mountains of Wyoming. On Day 2, we decided to see if the rumors were true about one of the most awesome Brook Trout fisheries in the area. Some say it now has no fish. This can only mean that it has winter-killed. I guess it's just part of the lake life cycle, but it makes me a little sad because I used to catch some of my best Brookies out of this lake.

Wind River Mountains, Wyoming - Found Lots of California Golden Trout In Hidden Pools
This is the third episode from a trip to the Wind River Mountains over the 2021 Labor Day weekend. This was our third day of fishing and we decided to target California Golden Trout deep in the Popo Agie Wilderness area in the Wind River Mountains of Wyoming. We decided to skip the lakes that are typically stocked with goldens and fish the outlet creeks of these lakes. Quite a few of the stocked goldens head downstream once they are stocked. Even though I've caught hundreds of Golden trout up here in this wilderness area, a few in my party have not.
So, it was pretty important to find and catch the Golden Trout just so they could say that they have caught some.

Unexpected Monsters From The Not So Deep - Rough Water Fishing - Surprise Bald Eagle Encounter
I had some family come to visit and we decided to get out and catch some fish. Our target species was walleye, but we found a few more species that we weren't expecting. When we released the last and best fish, a bald eagle came in and tried to pluck it from the water.
The wind was also really kicking up the waves. It all made for some unexpected and memorable experiences on this family adventure.

Searching For Monster Fall Browns - Fremont Canyon - Alcova Reservoir - Panthers and Copper Johns
In this episode I took a quick trip to Fremont Canyon in Central Wyoming. I knew the big browns were starting to head up that little section of river that feeds the lake, and I made it my mission to catch a few. I also caught an awesome bonus fish that made the great day of fishing even better.
