for us in all respects if not they must

but there's another way of looking at it
if we remember what ultimately makes
relationships meaningful they don't have
to be as difficult and ambitious
if we were to simplify things there may
only be three things that each of us
truly needs from the other
kindness is having a spouse that can
accept us for who we are and is patient
with our flaws
a person with whom we can be open about
our worries anxieties and issues that
throw us off balance as someone with
whom we can share our vulnerability
this person is someone with whom we
don't have to put on a good face they
are someone with whom we can be weak
vulnerable and honest and they will
reciprocate in kind
understanding is the ability to
understand certain mysterious aspects of
our minds such as our obsessions
preoccupations and World Views
