The Springfield Armory Echelon, chambered in 9mm, is back today to challenge the SIG P320 for Top Gun! Both feature removeable fire control units (Echelon is called a COG), both are polymer, striker fired and come with or are available with optics mounting capability.

A short review on the new S&W M&P 22 magnum semi auto pistol that we just got. It comes with 2 magazines that each hold 30 rounds of 22 magnum. Just released today (7/12/2023), here is our review of the new Springfield Armory Echelon. It is chambered in 9mm and comes with a 17 rd and a 20 round magazine. It is optics ready, has a rail for your light, is striker fired and doesn't set you back an arm and a leg!

Here is another high capacity 380 ACP pistol that most of you have probably forgotten about or have never known about before now. It has a 15 round capacity in its magazine and it is hammer fired. As a bonus, it looks similar to the Walther PPK or Walther PPK/s that James Bond carried in the movies.

The new Ruger Security 380 is chambered in .380 ACP and the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield EZ is also available in 380 ACP. Both are targeting the market that wants an easy to rack slide, due to hand strength, wrist strength or arthritis problems. The Shield EZ is also available in 9mm and 30 Super Carry.

In today's comparison review, we look at the Ruger Wrangler Birdshead TALO edition revolver and the NEW Ruger Super Wrangler. Always clean, inspect and lubricate your new gun before you use it for the first time. It doesn't matter what brand it is, they ALL need it! Kimber, Glock, Springfield Armory, Smith & Wesson, FN, Bersa, Taurus, Ruger, semi-auto and revolver, as well as rifle & shotgun, etc. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Quick review for you today on the new micro 9 from FN, the FN Reflex. This is not the optic ready MRD version, as I was unable to find one anywhere, so I settled for this version in FDE.

Springfield Armory just sent us a copy of the latest version of their new Hellcat, the Hellcat Pro OSP with threaded barrel! Chambered in 9mm, it uses the same mags as the original Hellcat Pro, is optic ready and is still a lot of fun at the range. BUT . . even more fun now with the ability to add things on the end of your barrel. Look out SIg P365XL!

We had the time to get this new 380 ACP EAA Girsan MC14 T to the range and the results were disappointing. I paid full price for this, so this is my honest owner review. I would recommend this for a collector, but I would not try to have my Mom try to operate this, let alone rely on it as her primary self defense weapon. But, for the collector, such as Hammer and myself, it is a neat item to try out, because of it's tip up barrel. I do not think I will keep it long term though, because for the price point that it is at, I expect a lot less problems / short comings. New release from EAA, the Girsan MC14 T is chambered in .380 ACP, comes withh just one 13 round magazine and has a tip up barrel for easy loading and unloading. They JUST started showing up last week and we were able to snap up one.

New for 2023, the Ruger Super Wrangler is not a Jeep, but it is chambered in 22 LR and 22 WMR. It comes from the factory with both cylinders, so swapping the "wheel" is very quick and you don't have to wait for the 2nd cylinder to ship to you from the factory. As of the publish date of this review, it is available in three color choices.

Need a little help deciding between a Subcompact 9mm pistol or a Micro Nine? The Micro 9 (or Micro Compact) offerings from various manufacturers (whether it is Glock or Springfield Armory or Canik or Smith & Wesson or FN, etc.) have many advantages but they also have some disadvantages as well. The same is true of the sub compact 9mm handgun choices.
