Views of the MyZeil shopping center in Frankfurt am Main, Hesse, Germany. MyZeil is a shopping center located in the downtown area of Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It is part of the Palaisquartier building complex and serves as the entrance to the Zeil shopping street. The center was officially opened on February 26, 2009, by the then-mayor of Frankfurt, Petra Roth. The MyZeil building has six floors and features the longest freestanding indoor escalator in Europe, measuring 42 meters. The entire complex is covered by a structure made up of around 3,200 triangular glass elements and has a gross floor area of 77,000 square meters, with approximately 52,000 square meters dedicated to retail space in the lower three levels. The anchor tenants include a REWE supermarket (groceries) located in the basement, Anson's Herrenhaus (men's clothing retailer with leading fashion labels) spread over three levels, and Saturn (electronics and home appliances) occupying 7,500 square meters on the third and fourth floors. The upper levels contain a "Gastro-Boulevard" with restaurants, a Fitness First club with a high-altitude swimming pool, and a play and childcare area for children. MyZeil was designed by architect Massimiliano Fuksas from Rome, with the structural design of the steel and glass construction handled by the engineering firm Knippers Helbig from Stuttgart. Rainwater from the nearly 6,000 square meters of roof surface is collected, cleaned, and reused in the building's water system. The construction design has some weaknesses, such as the need to protect the main entrance from falling ice and snow in winter, which led to the installation of a fixed roof over the entrance in 2013. The shopping center has a large parking garage with 1,390 spaces on four levels, 900 of which are available to the public. It is open continuously, including on Sundays and holidays. MyZeil is well-connected to transportation, with access via the Hauptwache train station and two subway stations. The center has a total of six levels, including a REWE supermarket and the entrance to the parking garage on the lower level. Dokumentation der Fahrt mit der Elektrodraisine (in voller Länge) von Wald-Michelbach nach Mörlenbach, Kreis Bergstrasse, Hessen, Deutschland (auf einem etwa 10 Kilometer langen Abschnitt der früheren Überwaldbahn Eisenbahnstrecke) in Echtzeit. English description below this video https://youtu.be/r_a9oC5tMXs Heutzutage fahren nur touristische Solardraisinen auf der Normalspurnebenbahnstrecke. Jede Draisine kann maximal acht Personen befördern. Die Höchstgeschwindigkeit beträgt 15 km/h. Die Fahrzeuge werden von einem elektrischen Motor angetrieben. Der Strom wird von Akkus geliefert (die vom Stromnetz über Nacht aufgeladen werden), ebenso von Sonnenzellen auf dem Draisinendach, durch Rekuperation auf Gefällestrecken, und durch pedalgetriebene Generatoren. Das Treten der Pedale sorgt für den Vortrieb über ein elektrisches Übertragungssystem. Schnelleres Treten bedeuted höhere Fahrgeschwindigkeit. Stoppen der Pedalbewegung bedeutet Anhalten des Fahrzeugs. Vier Sitze der Draisine haben Pedale. Es gibt eine zusätzliche Handbremse und einen Ausschalter für das ganze Antriebssystem der Draisine. Draisinen werden nacheinander von einem Ende der Strecke abgelassen mit einem Mindestabstand von 100 m. Wenn all Fahrzeuge am Ziel am Ender der Strecke angekommen sind, erfolgt die Rückfahrt auf die gleiche Weise. Es gibt zwei höhengleiche Bahnübergänge mit Signalanlagen, die per Handschalter aktiviert werden. Ausserdem gibt es noch mehrere Viehtriebübergänge und Feldwegübergänge. Die gesetzliche Grundlage für den Betrieb dieser Bahn bildet die 'Verordnung über den Bau und Betrieb der Straßenbahnen' , abgekürzt BOStrab. Auf der morgentlichen Hinfahrt von Mörlenbach nach Wald-Michelbach gab es ernsthafte Traktionsprobleme an zwei Stellen durch durchdrehende Antriebsräder. Wahrscheinlich waren die Schienen vom herbstlichen Morgentau feucht. Zusätzlich war die Draisine nur mit drei Personen besetzt, was einen guten Rad/Schiene Kontakt beeinträchtigt haben mag. Der Betrieb begann 1901. Die hügelige Landschaft erforderte den Bau von zwei Tunneln und von drei grösseren und zwei kleinen Viadukten. Die Strecke hatte Anschluss an die Eisenbahnstrecke Weinheim - Fürth im Bahnhof Mörlenbach. Es gab auf der gesamten Strecke Güter- und Personenverkehr bis 1. März 1984. An diesem Tage endete der Zugbetrieb auf dem Abschnitt Unter-Wald-Michelbach - Wahlen und das Gleis wurde im folgenden Jahr abgebaut und die Strecke wurde im Jahr 2000 in einen Radweg umgewandelt. Der Betrieb auf dem Abschnitt Mörlenbach - Wald-Michelbach wurde am 31 March 1994 eingestellt. Der Betrieb der Touristendraisine wurde am 18. Nowadays, only tourist solar handcars operate on the standard gauge track. Each handcar can carry a maximum of eight people. The maximum speed is 15 km/h. The vehicles are powered by an electric motor. Electricity is supplied by rechargeable batteries (recharged from the grid overnight), solar panels on the roof, recuperation at downhill sections, and by pedal-powered generators. The pedaling action of the driver creates propulsion via an electric drivetrain system. Faster pedaling means higher driving speed. Stopping to pedal stops the vehicle. Four seats are equipped with pedals. There is an additional handbrake and an off-switch for the whole system. Handcars leave from one end of the line one after the other with a minimum headway of 100 m. When all cars have reached the destination at the end of the line they can take the trip back in the same way. There are two level crossings with signals that have to be triggered manually. It started operation in 1901. The hilly topography required construction of two tunnels and three larger and two small viaducts. It was connected to the railway line Weinheim - Fürth at Mörlenbach station. The complete line had freight and passenger traffic until March 1, 1984. At that date train operation ceased on the Unter-Wald-Michelbach - Wahlen section and the track was disassembled the following year and the alignment was converted into a bicycle path in the year 2000. The section Mörlenbach - Wald-Michelbach was closed on March 31, 1994. The tourist handcar operation commenced on August 18, 2013 after a hefty investment in track refurbishment. Sights: Pyramid Tower Revolving Restaurant, exhibition hall, outdoor exhibition area, sky walk, pier and waiting room, ocean front platform, ship traffic in and out the harbor. In 2007, the Hong Mao Gang Village was relocated from the original site in Siaogang District to make a way for Port of Kaohsiung Intercontinental Container Terminal. Using a small lot of land, the cultural park was established there at the southern entrance of the harbor. It was opened in June 2012.
