About this video:
While setting up to film today's video I found myself in the middle of a swarm from the pink hive. This was an unintentional video so the footage wasn't too good because I was focused on getting the bees in the box and not messing around with cameras. In the end we did manage to welcome a new hive to the apiary. The Crynock bees are splitting themselves. :-)
About this Channel:
I hope you enjoy beekeeping and this video. If you are interested in becoming a beekeeper or experience backyard beekeeping for yourself have a look at some of the videos on this beekeeping channel as well as videos from beekeeping creators I have listed below. This is my third season as a beekeeper and everything I have learned came from YouTube and mostly from the channels listed below.
Although this beekeeping channel is primarily about beekeeping I am also a quasi pepper who believes in becoming self-sufficient. With that in mind, I have started a garden, planted fruit trees, replaced the hedges in front of my house with blueberry bushes, and have recently built a chicken coop. In short, I will share a lot more than beekeeping on this channel.
A little about me:
I am a person who believes you are never to old to learn something. Be it beekeeping, farming, raising chickens, painting, filming and editing video, making wine, beer, bread, cheese, and other fermentation consumables, play guitar etc... If I see something I want to try I start it immediately. If there is one thing I could choose to pass along to my children this would be it. Never be afraid to try. My wife famously told me once that if you are not willing to be bad at something, you will never be good at it. That means I am bad at quite a few things.
A little about you:
If you are new to beekeeping or are interested in becoming a beekeeper this channel might be for you. In my beekeeping adventures I show everything from my beekeeping successes to my beekeeping failures. I hide nothing and am never afraid to admit to a mistake.
I hope you find my beekeeping videos fun and entertaining as well as get something out of them. I hope I inspire someone to get out and try something new. If you do enjoy my videos, please take a moment to spread the word about this channel and help it, and myself, grow. Have a great day and BEE Happy!

A bit about my channel:
This channel is primarily about beekeeping or more specifically beekeeping 101 because I am just a beginning beekeeper and I figured the best way to learn beekeeping and to be a beekeeper was to buy a flow hive, sometimes spelled flowhive or a flow hive 2 which is sometimes known as a flowhive 2 and begin building by backyard apiary so I would have a place to keep bees. Now, backyard beekeeping is not the only thing I do. I consider myself to be urban farming as I also try to grow a sustainable and edible landscape. Backyard farming for me also includes keeping chicken and building other things in my shop that will help all of the birds, bees, insects, and other natural pollinators. I learn how to feed bees and chickens while showing you my day-to-day activities in my apiary, sometimes known as a bee yard. Some people consider me a prepper and yes there is a little truth to that. I do consider this a form of prepping and becoming self sufficient. Thank you for spending time with me learning about tap hives, flow hives, honeybees, and chickens.

About this video:Spring Swarm Prevention | Inspecting all hives for queens and swarm cells.
In today's video we will inspect every hive on the front row. Unfortunately the little white hive has some issues and will be broken down to a single box. We will also be looking for a queen bee or evidence of a queen bee as well as for swarm cells and teacup cells. If we find evidence of a planned swarm we will remove the cells. It is almost super time and the flow is on.

About this video:Beekeeping in 25F | Did the Army hive survive the bomb cyclone? Let's have an adventure.
In today's video we will do a full inspection of the small Army hive to see if it survives the bomb cyclone. Before we get to the beekeeping however we need to complete some tasks around the homestead and work to gather some resources. A full day of adventure topped off with a look inside my weakest beehive.

About this video: The End of Preparation | Winter is Here | Hives preparing to battle winter.
We have finally made it to the end of the per-winter beehive inspections. The Navy, Air Force, and Marine beehives are the last of the beehives in the apiary to get their pre winter check just before the bomb cyclone hits and put the bees and the beekeeper to the test. Will they have enough food? Are they healthy enough to survive? Let's finish this mini-series with a final checkup for the bees. We will look for the queen, brood, and body count to assure the hive has enough girls to keep the queen warm.

About this video: This is an unseasonable warm fall in Georgia and the bees should have winter brood cooking in the cells. Today we look at the Space Force and the Coast Guard hives to check for winter brood and prepare them for the upcoming winter. Do my hives have everything they need? Will I find the queens? Is there any brood? We will do a deep dive into both the Space Force hive and the Coast Guard hive.

About this video: Mana From Heaven. | Inspecting and feeding the bees.
Today we will be inspecting the rest of the bee barns on the front row and giving the bees some food for their holiday feast.

Do Beehive Heaters Really Work? #beekeeping #insects

About this video:Do Beehive heaters really work?
Do Beehive heaters really work? This is a video for the critics out there. This is a quick heater check for the girls to make sure they are warm in their hives on the 22F morning in the Bug Farmer apiary. The bees in the back row are working themselves to death trying to keep their hives warm while the girls in the front row with the heated hives are in a 72F ambient temperature climate controlled environment to help them through the winter months. I think this video will answer the question as to whether the hive heaters work or not. Stay warm out there.

About this video: Am I Doing It Wrong or Just Differently? | Beekeepers who don't follow the rules
Should I get in line or continue to challenge the status quo? Is heating your beehives WRONG or is it Innovation. I believe beehive heaters are an innovation and have a place in the hobbyist beekeeper community. Yes, that is my opinion but backed up with 4 seasons of empirical data and heated beehives in some of the coldest climates in the world. I do not just rely on theory to advance my beekeeping knowledge, I practice innovation.

About this video: The Fall Fix | Saw mistakes in the edit and went back to correct.
In this video I am preparing the Space Force and Coast Guard beehives for fall. Unfortunately, during the video edit two weeks later I realized I made a huge mistake. I go back in to fix my mistake and properly complete the video.
