In this series, I attempt to search the junkyard to find a shorter driveshaft to fit in my 1979 Ford Pinto with a 1977 Ford Granada 8.7 rear axle. The mission also includes removing a Tremec SROD 3 speed with overdrive transmission from a 1979 Ford Fairmont Futura. In this video series, I work on installing the rear spring mount for the Pinto's rear axle leaf springs. I created my own nut solution to solve broken clip nuts. Also liberal use of Rustoleum rust reformer and cobalt blue paint.
