Used my drone to get some footage of the static aircraft on display her in San Antonio. I've always thought the B-58 was one of the most awesome places ever flown, and the F-111 has a special place in my heart -- I was the Navigator/Weapons Systems Officer for about 1,100 hours in several models of the Aardvark.

When they decided to extend San Antonio's River Walk to the North, they had to account for an 8' difference in river heights. So, they installed these simple locks to get boats up and down the riverwalk

Used my Autel Lite+ to get video from about 400'...different perspective, and still way cool!

San Antonio, TX is a really cool place during the daytime...but the lights at night are really beautiful, too! My Autel Evo Lite+ shoots some really amazing night videos/photos -- enjoy!

I cleaned up this video, added some better transitions, and shortened it a bit.

The San Antonio River falls approximately nine feet from Brackenridge Park and the Pearl Brewery to downtown. In order to allow boat travel from Downtown up to the Pearl, engineers devised a lock and dam system into the River Improvements Project. This video shows the locks in action, from above.

Part of the never-ending traffic projects around San Antonio, TX, there is a new traffic flyover being built on the east side. Traffic going Northbound on I-410 will no longer have to dodge traffic to join Eastbound IH-10. This drone video gives a preview of what this new feature will be like when completed.

Used my Autel Evo Lite+ to capture the fireworks display -- Schertz, Tx put on a really nice show.

Schertz, TX held it's traditional 4th of July Parade. I apologize in advance for the long video ... I wanted to include as many parade entries as possible.

I had the opportunity to get some drone footage of 2 retired USAF jets - a B-58 Hustler, and an F-111 Aardvark. I've always loved the B-58 - it is one beautiful aircraft. On the other hand, I have about 1,300 hours in the F-111 as a Weapons Systems Officer and as an Electronic Warfare Officer. While not as pretty as the B-58, the 'Vark could go really fast, really low, in all kinds of weather -- really remarkable for a plane designed back in the 60's.

Established in 1926, Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St. Thérèse Parish was founded by a delegation of Discalced Carmelite Friars who sought refuge in the U.S. from the persecution of the Mexican Revolution. The first Eucharistic Celebration of the new parish took place in a makeshift chapel at the intersection of Kentucky & Zarzamora on April 4, 1926. From there the shrine and community continued to grow, even throughout the Great Depression. The Basilica as we know it today was completed in 1931. Today Little Flower Basilica serves Catholics in the San Antonio area as a traditional parish and people from across the nation and all walks of life as a historical and spiritual landmark. The community of Discalced Carmelite Fathers have long since become their own province and continue to serve parishioners and anyone called to explore the beauty of Carmel.

San Antonio, TX has a lot of interesting architecture. I used my Autel Evo Lite+ to get this video, featuring the San Antonio Central Library

'Tribute to Freedom,' is a soaring 75 foot tall, lighted sculpture, which is the tallest metal sculpture in the state. Artist George Schroeder says it includes forms representing the five branches of the U.S. military surrounding a towering obelisk which represents the country being protected by the military. The interior of the sculpture will be illuminated in blue on Fridays, in honor of the Airmen who graduate from Lackland AFB each week.
