Introduction to a series where I lay out how I converted a mid-70's Bridgeport Series-1 CNC knee mill to modern electronics.

This is the first metal part that I've made with my upgraded Bridgeport CNC

Bought me one of those nifty CNC mills that Bridgeport made. It was in excellent shape. Then I proceeded to dump it on its face.

In a previous video (https://rumble.com/v1839zg-had-some-luck-with-the-stuck-chuck.html) I demonstrated how I got a chuck that was stuck on a threaded spindle to let go. In this video, I demonstrate the root cause of the problem, and a permanent fix.

I don't think this back plate has ever been off of this 1942 Sebastian lathe. Removing it required EXTREME measures.

I repurpose a broken angle vice into a table to turn an outside radius on parts.

I build an MT3 arbor for a facemill by offsetting the tailstock on an Atlas 12x36 lathe, then show it in action.

Here we're cutting 6"x6"x3/4" structural steel angle with a 12" metal chop saw.

Continuing the effort to swap out the single-phase, 120V AC motor for something smoother with speed control. After adding a cooling feature to the treadmill motor's flywheel, I demonstrate it in action. I show the setup for powering a Rong-Fu table top mill with a DC motor from a treadmill. The controller is an MC-2100 LTS, controlled by a cheap signal generator.

The first time I flew the Zenith Zodiac 601XL that I built out of the 1900ft grass strip know as Deck Airpark. It was not my plan to skirt so close across the top of the trees, but the engine didn't have all the power I would have wished for.

30kt winds in a 40ft sail boat just south of Athens, Greece. We were the only ones crazy enough to be out that day.

This was the first time I got the rotary running on the front of my Dyke Delta.
