After the Straddle bust on yesterdays trade, I come back somewhat with a new straddle on Campbells and Hormell. Rolled Puts on NIO and AAL. This weeks straddle was a bust. It ended up costing $747 unlike last weeks big gain. I rolled APA and received $60. Rolled OAT and received $70. I rolled DVN from a 67 strike to a seventy strike. I paid $38.00. I am expecting DVN to be assigned next week because of the dividend. By paying the $38.00 and rolling up, I will received $300 extra dollars if it is assigned. If it is not assigned, I will received a $155.00 dividend at the end of the month. YES, very busy morning. I had opened an option straddle on Monday for SNOW. I have never done a straddle before and really had no interest. Because of this channel I have been expanding to the unknown. I have seen youtubers explain it but I have not seen them put it into action. I don't like that. I want to see what happens when the trade is done. I paid $1873.00 on Monday to put this straddle together. My strike price was $150. That means if the stock price was at 150 on Friday Aug 25, I would lose my $1873. My break even was $131.27 on the low end and $168.73 on the high end. After yesterdays earnings, the stock jumped to a little over $190 so I knew I had profit coming. I sold this morning and received $3957. which after covering my $1873 paid left me a profit of $2084.00. For some reason we lost the sound. New camera - getting used to it, Sorry about the shaking. I mow a neighbor's yard again. My gas mower is in the shop so I bought an electric ECO mower. I am very impressed. It plowed through the higher grass and didn't choke out like the gas mower. Much quieter too. It is a self propelled model.
