Veterinarian Creates A Realistic Dog-O-Lantern Pumpkin Carving
Jack-o-lantern is a carved pumpkin or turnip lantern, associated with the holiday of Halloween. The top of the pumpkin is cut off to form a lid, the inside flesh is scooped out, and an image, usually a monstrous or comical face, is carved out of the rind to expose the hollow interior.
To create the lantern effect, a light source, traditionally a flame such as a candle or tea light, is placed within before the lid is closed. It is common to see jack-o'-lanterns on doorsteps and used as decorations prior to and on Halloween.
This creative veterinarian Andy Manoloff from Indiana posted a fantastic time lapse video that features him creating a realistic dog pumpkin carving, conveniently calling it “Dog-O-Lantern,” of his beloved Pomeranian dog named Sophie.
It is amazing to see how Andy starts from scratch and builds an impressive, detailed portrait of his puppy onto a pumpkin. He set a picture of his dog on the computer, and started carving his way out, giving the pumpkin a brand new design, glowing with the face of Sophie.
This phenomenal Dog-O-Lantern pumpkin carving of Sophie will leave you wondering how does he do it with such an ease. The time lapse is completed in less than one minute, and the transformation is mesmerizing! This cool design, rich in detail, is real proof that talented people can turn anything into art!
