Swarm of bees on my patio. Not my bees, but they are now.

Someone called us with a hive in the bottom of a rotted dead oak tree. I think the Three Stooges music should play when we pull it down. Bees were VERY mad. Vacuumed, cut, vacuumed, and shook through the shaker box. Queen was caged and the remaining bees are going in the box. Will pick up before dark. A good time.

bees drank about 4 gallons in one day

Julia, a High School student, is doing a science fair project, testing bee venom on spherical breast cancer cells. Way cool! Glad to be a part of this. The device vibrates and irritates the bees to come out. The wires have a low electric shock and the bees attempt to sting the glass. Venom dries and is scraped off. The powder you see is hundred if not thousands of stings. Much caution must be used.
