Week 04 | 2 Corinthians 3:1-18
Pastor Jim Simpson leads City Church (Savannah, Georgia) through 2 Corinthians 3:1-18 in the fourth week of the church’s series on 2 Corinthians. Paul gives the Corinthian church instruction on the sufficiency of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection to bring them to glory in the Holy Spirit. He compares the new covenant of salvation in Christ with the old Law given by the Father to the Jews. The glory and hope of the new covenant surpasses the old covenant and gives promise of a future. We are now able to look on God without separation of a veil, a priest as mediator, or any other disconnection. We can walk fully in power, the same power Jesus had.

Week 03 | 2 Corinthians 1:23-2:17
Pastor Jim Simpson leads City Church (Savannah, Georgia) through 2 Corinthians 1:23-2:17 in the third week of the church’s series on 2 Corinthians. Paul gives the Corinthian church instruction that will cause pain initially but will call them to a deeper relationship with the Lord in the long run. Paul is not afraid to address issues in the church for the betterment of the Body. How do we address problems in our own churches? Do we have hard conversations to draw people to repentance? Do we stand for Truth in a post-modern, post-biblical world?

They believed the Gospel could change the world. Why then do many of those sitting in churches, maybe in this very church, believe that the Gospel should be kept to ourselves in fear of being rejected or hurting someone’s feelings? Let’s deep dive!

Week 02 | 2 Corinthians 1:8-22
Pastor Jim Simpson begins by addressing the historic overturning of the Supreme Court Roe v Wade ruling that occured on Jun 24, 2022. What is the truth? What lies are being told to fear-monger and fuel rage?
How does the division of believers on the issue of abortion mimic the division of believers in the first century church in Corinth? How does facing difficulty enable you to put more trust in God? When you pray for something, how do you respond when it comes to pass? Do you attend church but ignore the Truth?
