Trump caught on tape discussing classified documents
An audio tape at the center of the criminal case against former President Donald Trump has been released. In the tape, the former president is heard discussing classified documents while meeting with a writer in 2021.
"See as president, I could have declassified it. Now I can't, you know, but this is still a secret," Trump says at one point, while apparently showing classified Pentagon documents about a proposed plan to attack Iran.
The recording is part of the case against Trump, who has been charged with violations of the Espionage Act, among other charges, in connection with the classified documents which were found at his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida. Trump insists he’s innocent.

North Korea detains U.S. soldier who illegally crossed border
North Korea has detained a U.S. citizen who illegally crossed the border while taking part in a tour of the Truce Village in the demilitarized zone separating the two Koreas.
Private Travis King was stationed in South Korea but was recently taken into custody after an altercation with locals. On Monday, he was escorted to Incheon International Airport to face disciplinary action in the U.S., but those escorting him were not allowed to go beyond the customs checkpoint.
After entering the airport's secure area, he failed to go to his gate and instead joined a tour group heading to the demilitarized zone. While there, he reportedly was hearing saying "ha ha ha" before running across the border. He was then taken into custody by North Korean soldiers.
