A Winter Storm Watch goes into effect Thursday at noon.

CBS 2's Sabrina Franza reports from Michigan City, where the bone-chilling temperatures are making it dangerous to be outside and difficult for motorists to maneuver the roadways.

As of Thursday evening, more than 560 flights have been canceled at Chicago O'Hare International Airport and more than 200 have been canceled at Chicago Midway International Airport due to the winter storm.

CBS 2's Asal Rezaei talked with travelers at O'Hare Airport who have had their flights canceled Thursday morning. One traveler called the process "nerve-wracking."

A winter snow storm moving into the Chicago area has led to hundreds of flight cancellations.
