Does the Bible teach that we are to hate our brothers, sisters, wives, and even our own children to truly follow Jesus?

One of the most difficult things for us to do is remain quiet.

For years, I have heard that 1,000 years for us is like one single day to God; but does the Bible actually teach this? No. A comparison is made, but no exact specifications are given. Words are important, and God uses a very important word in these passages used to support the idea that 1,000 years is one day 'as'.

God is a restorer; it's what He does. Not only from the damage we receive from other people, but even the damage that we do to ourselves.

How could Jesus be sitting down when the world is the way that it is? Jesus sat down when He ascended to heaven, at the right hand of God the Father, because His work was finished. When He rises from that seat, He is returning for His church.

Prophets in the Bible gave warning of coming future judgment from God, if they were ever wrong;they were killed. Prophecy today looks a little different; it's all about health, wealth, and prosperity. That's no coincidence, as those calling themselves prophets today are treated as celebrities and amass wealth and followers for themselves. So are there any Biblical prophets today? No. But there are plenty of PROFITS; those making money using the name of God.

We look to anything to take away or responsibility for our own behavior; anything that can help us 'cope' with our current situation. Any 'copium' will do. Instead of asking ourselves what does this passage mean to me? We should ask ourselves what does this passage mean? Then, if that applies to us great. If not, then the scripture is still true.
