We learned last week that Esau was moving! The reason he was moving was because he and his brother Jacob had too much stuff! They both had too much livestock to live off the land! You can have about 5 sheep on one acre of land, and each brother had hundreds if not thousand of sheep! That’s a lot of land needed to support them! Today let’s read Genesis 36:7 and grab 10 small objects to represent sheep and a piece of chalk. Draw a small circle outside and place the 5 “sheep” inside of it. Now show your Tiny Arrow that you have 10 “sheep” but you need more room! Then draw a bigger circle around the first one and place the rest of the sheep inside!
Their possessions were too great for them to remain together; the land where they were staying could not support them both because of their livestock.

Jacob came home to see his father Isaac, and he died at the age of 180! Both Esau and Jacob buried him in the same cave Abraham and Sarah were in!
Jacob came home to his father Isaac in Mamre, near Kiriath Arba (that is Hebron), where Abraham and Isaac had stayed.
