Misty Winston: "If it is denied, unfortunately, we could see him on a plane within hours of that decision being made. So, he is literally a hair's breath away from being extradited to the country who was recently revealed to be plotting to murder him. So it's a really desperate situation right now, which is why we need everybody to get as involved and as loud about this as possible." "If he is brought to the United States, he will be placed in a pretrial detention center. The same pretrial—likely—the same pretrial detention center that Chelsea Manning was held in before her court martial hearings, and then he will be put into a kangaroo court system, where he will be in espionage court in the Eastern District of Virginia. Nobody wins there. It is really kind of a hopeless situation at that point. If he is brought here, there is very little chance that he will win that case." "As John Kiriakou, who was the CIA, he exposed the CIA torture program, he's a whistleblower as well, he was in that exact court, and he has spoken about this at length. Nobody wins in that court. It is essentially your jury pool is a bunch of three letter agency stooges and their families. So, your jury pool is completely corrupted, as well as the fact that in espionage court, you cannot present a public interest defense. So, Assange is essentially silenced at that point. He's not able to present a defense as to why he did the job of journalism, I guess, because that is essentially what he's being charged with. It is a very desperate situation." First of all, I think just having conversations with your friends and family about this issue—again, like I said, there has been such blackout, and most people, the average American citizen, the average global citizen, has no idea what's happening to Julian Assange. Many people don't know who he is. Many people know, kind of, who he is, but they don't really know what's going on. They're like, 'Oh, it's that WikiLeaks guy, right? I don't know.' And then there are some people who know, and they are completely propagandized against him. [...] Again, just having conversations with your friends and family is a huge thing." "If you want to protest, I say it all the time, all you need is a sharpie, a poster board and a sidewalk. That's it. It's very simple, it's very easy. It's very cheap, very effective. And that really does help get the word out. Sharing things on social media, I think is great. I think it's just to get the visibility. It also helps to break through the algorithm. And there are events taking place all the time. "Appeal to altruism 'to protect grandma' or 'for the public good.' Use shame or guilt, whatever you need to appeal to altruism. Normalize the abnormal. Shift the social sense and public opinion of priorities and reality. Boil the frog. Gradually introduce changes and restrictions so that they go unnoticed, and all of a sudden you don't realize that you've been moved halfway across the room, or you've given up a lot of common sense, or that what you've felt was normal has been so changed. The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) hearing against WCH Steering Committee member Dr Mark Trozzi resumed today at 9 am EDT. "There was a Stanford Prison Experiment that was supposed to [...] last for two weeks, and they actually had to stop it because of the harms, the psychological harms it was causing to the participants. They were testing out whether there was something about guards that made them sort of seek out being prison guards and sort of preconditioned their behaviour to be sort of brutal or not. And so, anyway, they got these young college age males do this two week experiment and had half of them randomly assigned to be guards and the other half to be prisoners." "They found there that de-humanization, de-individualization, and accepting having it socially acceptable to have dominance roles—just following orders or trying to keep order—these were among the factors that allowed the harms that they were seeing in that prison experiment. And you also have to think of Abu Ghraib prison in 2003/2004, where military guard were actually sort of abusing the prisoners there." "So, again, such things can happen, even when they're not intended to. Control measures—again, socially accepted dominant roles or control measures that are meant for good, but that end up segregating, stigmatising, shaming, isolating or disadvantaged one particular group of people, that is a pure setup for abuse." Speaking at GA Meeting #92, Dr Carrie Madej explained how we can take our power back. "The point is, the second we come together and we finally say no, collectively, even if it's 3% of us, it's huge! And we say we don't fight, but we pull away. Again, we're pulling away. Let them have what they want, right? We start our own communities. We do it this way. It will work. I see this working. I know it's going to work. And I'm excited for that future. I have a lot of colleagues now, that—same thing! They're like: 'take the medical licence, whatever!' 'Because we don't want to be under your control, but we're not going to give up helping other people and showing them the way, and being the way.' So the communities are important. Start to grow your own seeds. If you don't want to do that, fix something for another person. Start to teach a child something. Pray with somebody. It's powerful. If you can't have anybody in your community, talk to somebody online. Make that step forward. Pull your child out of school for home school. Learn about home birthing. Just, you know? Speaking at GA Meeting #92, Dr Carrie Madej explained the true role of physicians. "When I see a patient or person, I walk into it saying: 'Your body can do anything. You can heal yourself.
