Stair building 101 compressed version
Woodworking Technique : https://bit.ly/OfficialWoodworkingtools
Stair building 101 compressed version. Few notes is I got 8 rises but always subtract one because the deck counts as a step so stringer is 7 rises. The run should be from 10 to 11 inches typically not an issue unless you're in a tight stairwell, but same principles measure out where you want the stairs to end and dive by number of runs. Hope it helps and stay tuned for more carpentry tips and tutorials.

little sturdier carpentry tips and pointers

Tenon goes in 2 1/2 inches, glued and clamped both ways and trim head screw at bottom. The ballusters are double dowel, this style looks cleaner than a plow and a little sturdier. Anyhow hopefully this helps someone and stay tuned for more finish carpentry tips and pointers.

Speeding up the coping process

Speeding up the coping process by cutting as many miters as I can at once then coping. When curves are too tight I like to feather the blade so move it side to side and then sanding. The miter saw blade is the spyder tarantula and jigsaw blade is the fast curve cut also both have been my go to. Fixing a gap after you've nailed the piece. Trim head screw with a short or neck tread is best, typically gets covered up by shoe molding but... if no shoe is going in then its still a very small hole. The tight seam is due to pressure fitting cant do it if you miter, only if you cope. I guarantee you every home you walk into take a look at any wall longer than 16 ft and you'll see the cracked angled seam right away because a seam like that cant be pressure fitted and angles allow the seam to slip and slide with moisture changes even when glued, this seam pressure fitted with dowel and glue will never ever crack or show, guaranteed. Scribing between 2 walls for steps or shelves
Greap 16.000+ Woodworking Plans and Project here https://bit.ly/OfficialWoodworkingtools
Scribing between 2 walls for steps or shelves, like I mentioned chances of anything in a home being straight/parallel are zero to none so you have to scribe. This is simple, take larger measurement add 1/4 inch for your cut, after you cut, set one side as close as possible and scribe then take a true measurement from the scribe to set the scribe to the other side. Ofcourse you can use a jig which I will show a video of, but this is good to know incase you have brick or stone on one of the sides. Hope this helps and stay tuned for more carpentry tips and tutorials.

Spacing ballusters, there are a handful of apps that will do this for you
Click here https://bit.ly/OfficialWoodworkingtools to watch more Woodworking ideas or tips
Spacing ballusters, there are a handful of apps that will do this for you, but in reality it isn't much work without the apps. To recap take the width of the balluster mine were 1 3/16s and multiply times the amount that will be installed mine was 10 so itd be 10 x 1 3/16s = 11 7/8 , then we take that 11 7/8s and subtract by the space between the post and wall which was 48 1/4, so 48 1/4 - 11 7/8 = 36 3/8s finally we are gonna take the 36 3/8 and divide by our number of ballusters which is 10 but we always add one because you'll always have an extra space at the end so its 36 3/8s divide by 11 to get our final spacing of 3 5/16s. Hopefully this helps someone and stay tuned for alot more carpentry tips and tutorials.

Scribing capabilities with carpenter's pencil. I'm totally not sure on those numbers but that is the shape of a carpenters pencils main purpose. To state obvious always set to largest gap and if the pencil doesn't match largest gap raise it with shims. Couldn't fit the cut but I typically use a jig saw and for harder material I run thru table saw at 45 then sand off the rest. Hope this helps and stay tuned for alot more carpentry tips and tutorials.

Cutting angles greater than saw's capacity
Greap 16.000+ Woodworking Plans and Project here http://bit.ly/3re6c9N
Cutting angles greater than saw's capacity. Like I mentioned I nailed brads thru the underside and clipped them to about an eight of an inch to grip the molding allowing you to keep your hand further away. My jig is set at 45 degrees so if I need a 70 degree cut I subtract 45 from 70 giving 25 and thats what I set my saw at. Hope this helps and stay tuned for alot more carpentry tip, jigs and tutorials. #construction #jig #homeimprovement #trickofthetrade #carpenter #diytip #carpentry #carpentrytips

When you comparing apples to apples even a jack cope is way quicker than a miter
Click here http://bit.ly/3re6c9N to watch more Woodworking ideas or tips
When you comparing apples to apples even a jack cope is way quicker than a miter. Another perk is seasonal movement instead of the baseboard expanding onto the drywall, it expands onto its partner piece, main reason why coping has been the standard since millwork has been around. If you miter cool not trying to change your mind. However, if you're just starting out and you encounter these wacky profiles, try and make it a habit as it will pay off! Hopefully this helps someone and stay tuned for more finish carpentry tips and pointers!!!

Super simple post, but... I haven't seen alot of people pre fill the incorrect holes which makes a massive difference. Takes extra time to preassemble casing but trust me its time saved trying to fight them, line them up,shiming them caulking them and still having them look off . Would still recommend the clam clamps but this works pretty good too and its cheaper. Hope it helps and stay tuned for more alot carpentry tips and how to's.
