A Murdered Grandfather is brought back to life singing
Through the advancement in technology, the only known photo of this Scottish AMERICAN man was brought back to life singing. He was born during the Civil War to a Scottish immigrant and his AMERICAN wife. Got into some sort of shenanigans. Changed his name to avoid discovery. Married the daughter of a popular Justice of the Peace in Licking Ohio, Then according to his wife and kids, was murdered late one night in 1909. His murder was never solved. Instead the newspapers listed it as a suicide. Introducing my maternal great great grandfather.

Skurfing the Day Away
In 2011, a preteen gets bizarre skates for Christmas. These skates had no straps to hold his feet firmly to the skates. Each skate only had 2 wheels to balance on and maneuver. The inventors called them skurfs, a cross between skating and surfing. These skates never gained in popularity and faded away. Nowadays, if you look up skurfs it will direct you to a small water surfboard invented in 2014

Duck Vigorously Grooms Her Boxer Buddy
Moose, our boxer English bulldog mix tried to take a dip in the pet pool. But our caluga duck decided he needed to be meticulously groomed especially around the folds/wrinkles around his face. Moose at first wanted none of it and put up a fuss. But just like a child he succumbed and enjoyed the attention.

Moose finds Tranquility within the Chaos of 2020
I am not going to lie but 2020 has proven to be a tough year especially in and around the bigger US cities. In June, while there was rioting in the streets of Atlanta and then others were hanging tight at home because of being fearful of getting the COVID-19 virus, we HAD to get out and explore. Just 15 miles from the rioting, Moose, the boxer mix, and his boy discovered a spot that took away the uncertainty and anxiety of the times. A babbling creek within a couple of miles from our home. It was the first time the boy had ventured out of the house since being quarantined on March 14 2020. Finding tranquility amongst the chaos.

Epic School Gathering. Do you remember?
“Do you remember the 21st night of September?
Love was changin' the minds of pretenders
While chasin' the clouds away
Our hearts were ringin' in the key that our souls were singin'
As we danced in the night, remember......
[Chorus]
Hey, hey, hey!
Ba-dee-ya, say, do you remember?
Ba-dee-ya, dancin' in September
Ba-dee-ya, never was a cloudy day”
Well we certainly remember. This Earth, Wind and Fire first earwormed its way into our souls back in the early 1970s. It certainly seems more significant today than ever before. Just last September 2019, kids were dancing with golden dreams of shiny days ahead at school functions and SMILING.. No one had ever heard of social distancing. Who would have thought that just a year after this video was taken a simple gathering for this group of AFJROTC picnicking kids would become taboo. Masks would soon be donned everywhere, covering their beautiful and exuberant smiles. Dancing shoulder to shoulder, cheek to cheek could possibly make headlines and not in a good way. How we miss these picnics, and school bells ringing. These group gatherings. 2020 has definitely been quite the experience no one wants to repeat, especially the school children. How about you? Are you ready to return to this joyfulness? Let’s end these cloudy days and get back the carefree days of golden dreams and shinier days.

Check out this Hilarious Gift Idea
What will they think up next? Now even you can tame the runaway wind blown golden locks of Donald Trump. Just by donning a pair of socks. These socks come complete with a comb.
My friend bought these as a birthday present for her mom this year. I have no idea where to find them. But they would make great gifts for the patriot in your life for sure. You can’t tell me you have never considered reaching out to fix his hair as he addresses the public. Trump 2020

Dog Encounters Wasp
Boxer gets bested by a wasp
Apparently, a young wasp’s nest was knocked to the ground. Moose, our rescue boxer mix, decided to valiantly defend us from the dangerous creatures afoot. With his ferocious gravelly bark and his bigger than the wasps stance he confronted those pesky vermin. He stood his ground. They quivered on their nest. Moose was winning. Little did he know, they can fly and pack quite the punch. One jumped and bopped him on the nose. Little doggie Moosie hopped away a little bit wiser and a little bit stung. His nose swelled a touch but other than that he was fine and lived to fight another day.

Fedora Boy
Fedora Boy is playing it cool with an 80s moment. After spending all day traveling through the east coast of Florida we set up camp at the Hampton Inn. We were checking out colleges with a men’s swim team for his big brother. Sadly, not easily to come by anymore. This poor guy, gazing out the window onto a hot steaming parking lot daydreaming about the day he will compete in the Olympics, I fear will be hard pressed to continue competitive swimming during his college career. For now, he daydreams. Plays it cool. And above all, swims with all he has.

Boxer Training Confusion
Moose, the lovable boxer/English bulldog mix that was found at a kill shelter a couple of years ago, is always eager to please. Here he exuberantly tries to learn a new command, ‘crawl’. But he ends up confusing the command he learned earlier in the week, rollover. The only thing we need to entice and get his full attention is bits of his dog food kibble. He is so lovable and just wants to please. We scratch are head and cannot figure out to this day why his original owners dropped him off after they had had him for 2 years at that kill shelter. We are thankful to Mostly Mutts for finding him, saving him and allowing us to adopt him.
