"Wild Rose" came to us with severe lacerations under the front leg requiring surgery. "Shirley" came to us from Manitoba back in March. She's still a bit shy but nowhere near as shy as when she first came here. We are looking for a foster for her. The foster would need to visit with her a few times at the shelter so she can get used to them. We're hoping this will help make the transition easier. Another littermate reunion from our rescue transfer in March! This time, we meet up with the pups of "Hanna" (now "Havana"). Unfortunately, mom couldn't make the date but the pups showed up! This kitten was found with severe eye injuries possibly caused by untreated infection. Too small for surgery, the kitten was kept on antibiotics and pain management until able to survive the procedure to remove the eye that could not be saved. "Macha" is a 3.5 year old female domestic medium hair cat. She generally keeps to herself and has been known to play with a couple of the cats in the community room. She would be best in a quiet home without young kids. She needs her space. This unfortunate kitten turned up at the shelter with a pretty severe front leg injury. Trust us, it looked much worse at first than what's shown in the video. The leg couldn't be saved but this little guy is young enough that he should have little trouble adapting. This friendly kitty came in as a stray with a horrific facial injury. This little mink was found milling around a Beer Store parking lot. A quick consultation with a wildlife custodian resulted in a safe release nearby. Starting this Wednesday, we will be launching our online adoptions of our Manitoba pups. Each day, 1 pup will be placed up for adoption. A limited number of adoption applications will be taken and staff will review. The successful applicant will have the puppy brought to them by a member of our Community Engagement Team.
