The smaller Joey following behind had a mother who shot off up the hill on a different camera angle and was likely disoriented and going with the flow until it realised what was happening. I took several photos and videos of those activities. Usually the offerings were small forage fish but a few leeches were caught for the hungry youngsters, which during the course of my time there, variously, rode on the backs of one or both of the adults or swam on their own. By the time this video was taken, the young birds were well fed and not eager to take the proffered leech. Ultimately, the adult consumed that food."
