Nicholas loves waffles 🧇 So today I am sending him to school with a brunch lunch. He doesn’t like maple syrup so I don’t have to worry about that. Maple syrup (that’s real) is a great thing to eat, @medicalmedium tells us that it gives tons of precious minerals to our blood. So don’t hold back on giving maple syrup to your little one if they enjoy it 💗 - I make the waffles in my blender and I use a ceramic waffle iron. (It’s the only ceramic one available on amazon Canada) - Recipe: I cup almond milk (or use banana milk for no overt fat) 2 cups gluten free oats 1 Medium banana 2 tsp aluminum free baking powder 1/2 tsp aluminum free baking soda 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1/2 tsp sea salt 3 tablespoons maple syrup 2 tsp alcohol free vanilla - I made these waffles early in the week and kept them in a glass container with a tight fitting lid in the fridge and I used them all week in place of cookies. I just pop them in the toaster and they taste fantastic. I also sent some potatoes with him, these I just made this morning by washing and then chopping up a potato and throwing it in my air fryer. I purchased my air fryer at Costco and I have been really happy with it. - The breakfast muffins are overt fat free and salt free. Check my post from Tuesday if you want the recipe. - I’m not sure I explained it very well in the video but the point I was trying to make was that I try to make one item and turn it into a few different meals. For example the sweet potato tortillas were cut into cookie cutter shapes and served for dinner with some MM hummus and fruit, they were also made into round shapes and made into tacos for school lunch and last night we used the sweet potato tortillas as a crust for pizza. I try to get a lot of meal options out of what a cook. 🙌 - School lunch limits us in one way that lunch at home doesn’t, we can’t use any nuts. So that eliminates dishes like my vegan Mac and cheese and baked goods like Medical Medium donuts. So as you watch these video and you wonder why I am not making some of Nicholas’ favourites it’s probably because they contain nuts. - I hope this is helpful🙏🏻💗 Happy Healing 🤗 #medicalmedium
