Old riverbeds are great places to look for gems and precious metals po gasa p-a-u-g-a-s-u-c-k the pogasac reservation was located in milford from 1675 to 1861. this was a battlefield in 1648 between the wepawog and milford tribe and the morgue nation the burepa walk defeated the mohawks in a swamp about one mile east of the ferry side charles island is located off silver sands state beach and has a long haunted treasure-rich history this tri-score cursed haunted island started as a place of conflict between the settlers and the native americans the we power we w-e-p-a-o-w-a-y
we power y or we power wag tribe who live here first the tribe believed that this was a sacred place connected to spirits a battle occurred with the settlers by the tribe laws it is said that the sachem or chief named ansan tawai put a curse on the island saying and the shelter will crumble to the earth and he shall be cursed it is said that the native american spirits guide guard the island and discourage any treasure seekers some legends state that the spirits of the powell gossip tribe who once lived here as well beheaded the pirates for bearing the treasure in the sacred land they are also the ones who made the treasure invisible to anyone who sought 25 ladies 25 years later captain kidd of course buried his treasure on charles island located of silver sands state beach under a place called hagrug in 1699. it is said that he stopped here while he was heading toward boston or kid might have buried treasure on stratford point the exact spot is vague anyway this thought goes that a chest was buried in 1699 and what was witnessed by residents this people said that the chess was buried by pirates and that they knew it was kid's crew no less there have been coins from his era found under the sand so there might be something to the legend it is said that in 1850 two men did find a treasure chest by saw a shrilly wristling headless body wrapped in a flaming sheet plunged toward them from above and they ran away terrified by a flaming skeleton they went insane never to recover from the fright so many people have searched here that island that has many pits where no vegetation grows that is considered the second curse of the island by the pirate kid and his pirate ghost who protect his treasure as an interesting side note there is a documentation that kid did visit this area twice so to dismiss the legend out of hand might be an error on the treasure seekers part the third curse was placed here 22 years ago after kids visit five sailors buried a mexican emperor's stolen treasure in a cave in 1721 the emperor cursed the treasure and those who stalled it if you enjoyed this program please subscribe like it and share it four out of all five sailors had a tragic death and the treasure was never recovered at the end of the 18th century a monastery was built on the island though the monks dismissed the native american curse many mysterious deaths suicide and insanity forced them to abandon the monastery the ruins can still be seen today in the 1950s a restaurant was opened but the little fire ended the enterprise hikers report seeing glowing objects hearing voices and even monks walking among the ruins the only access to the island is the causeway that only surfaces at a low tide do not dig on this island this is now a natural nature preserve posted with no trespassing science you can still explore it but just do not take on it by 2003 the island was uninhabited but people still see something on the beach going on by fishermen in the surrounding waters and when investigated there are no signs of the people or of people being on the beach on texas island t-u-x-i-s tuxes island or taxis island just offshore of milford a large amount of 18th century coins were supposedly found by campers in 1903 it is apparent that some sort of treasure can be found where a pirate left lost loot or a shipwreck nearby is giving coins to the lucky seeker small caches of pirate treasure stored in canvas bags iron kettles boxes and clay pots buried and forgotten or never retrieved because of premature death which was a common occurrence among pirates have been dug up periodically along the new england coast one such find usually begets another four pirate crews often left the ships together to bury their personal shares of puri ashore in the same general area taxis island near milford connecticut should be a good hunting ground for in 1903 a group of boys from the ymca camp located there found a great quantity of 18th century coins and some gold jewelry buried in the same city of monroe because on the boys halfway river in monroe there is a cave where silver was once searched for in 1820 exactly why someone felt that silver would be there is an unknown but the search was abandoned with no silver ever found however the area was once known as flat rock and huntington so was known as huntington or as flat rock however the treasure seeker should not be discouraged by the lack of silver here because the large two foot to four foot long green barrel crystals have been taken out of that area and this kind of crystal this size is very very valuable maurice morris is the town where bentham lake lies this is the largest natural lake in the state covering 12 hundred acres the lake was a favorite camping site for puttatak tribe there have been numerous fines of arrowheads in the area suggesting that there were battles fought in the region perhaps with the mohawks montville is the town for native american forts fort hill state park was the fourth of the sacrum uncas of the mohigans only stones remain today this town is also the site of another native american battle the battle took place in 1634 and the area is now state park ford shuntok of state 32 was built by the mohigans in the early 1600s the mohigan ward means midway up the river this battlefield is halfway up the thames river from new london to norwich in 1645 the narragansett were repelled at this spy by the mohegans this fort was attacked again by the narragansett in 1659 but again were repelled there is a place under a rock perhaps a cave where it is said that umkas set awaiting help from from the residence of saybrook during the 1645 battle that took place here the war finally ended due to the angry settlers coming to norwich it is also a mohigan barrier burial ground today it is believed that uncas is buried in this park more native american battles were fought in this spot during historic times than any other place in the state there's even a miniature this desert found below trading cove trading cove known as a sandy desert it was believed to be a cursed place by the tribes in the area kachigan or corchagan or kochigan rock is the largest glaciers rock in connecticut it is 50 foot square and 60 feet high weighing 6 000 tons used this as a retreat in hiring place in 1637. in the colonial area a mohegan name kaleb kochigen lived here hence the reason for the name if you enjoy this program please subscribe like it and share

Treasure Hunting in Hadley-Mt Holyoke-Titan Piazza-Methuen Massachusetts
Hadley in hampshire county in massachusetts a significant battle in king philip's war was fought here and the interesting part is that the people of Hadley actually won this battle they pushed back they repel the native americans now this site was also the site of native american fort skeletons have been found on the bluff overlooking the connecticut river here and the thought is that those skeletons are actually from that bottle uh interesting side note is that dinosaur trucks were dug up by farmer brothers harlan and carlton nash in 1802 and one of the trucks found in 1941 measured 23 feet long and they are over 200 million years old this is the place and in 1955 where nash quarry was created and many other dinosaur tracks have been found since that time today the dug up dinosaur trucks actually can be found in museums throughout western new england if you want to check them out now in south hudley on state 5 which was settled in 1659
there is a story that a gold bullion was buried in a cave now the pass of thermopylae it's spelled t-h-e-r-m-o-p-y-l-a
is a colonial-made narrow rock passage through the foot of the mount holyoke which is 990 feet tall it's right near the connecticut river the passage was created by constantly pouring water on that rock and of course uh it was taking away the granite and then it split now uh obviously the settlers would not have to climb over mount holyoke anymore they could go right through it titan's piazza is a volcanic bluff that is found here it is classified as a world major natural phenomenon and many fossil footprints you can find them there is so-called devil's football which is a 300 ton magnetic boulder and geologists think it was carried by the glaciers from deerfield or sunderland and the legend is that the devil kicked the boulder here from the devil's garden at amherst march so this town was abandoned during king philip's war and was known as swamp field at that time so i don't have to tell you that incredible fines could turn out over there for a diligent treasure hunter if you enjoyed this program please subscribe like it and share it medwin massachusetts m-e-t-h-u-e-n
massachusetts mark and nathaniel gorilla buried a treasure around teeny castle t-e-n-n-e-y castle they buried the treasure in the 19th century now what happened is that they courted the same woman and she rejected both of them they became hermits never speaking to each other however both of them lived very close to each other as a matter of fact they lived on the same hill and after they died one of the residents of the town had a dream that a treasure was hidden in the wall of the tv castle it was searched and lo and behold twenty thousand dollars in bonds were found in the seller in one of the towers the ruins of this place can be found on danny fry's hill in essex county maynard massachusetts now in 1720 in maynard a man named thomas smith is said to have buried a cache of silver and gold coins north of his house in the woods right on the assabet river a-s-s-a-b-e-t river turner's falls turner's falls is one of the main villages in montauki
m-o-n-t-a-q-u-e located on connecticut river so a man named alicia mack built the first dam on that river here and ice jam so in 1936 during severe winter an ice jam swept completely swept three bridges including the longest covered wooden bridge in the state that was uh that belonged to the boston and maine railroad and this is one of the few places where the northern tribes the sovereign tribes came here together to fish trade worship socialize so for that reason alone this place is an incredible place to explore but in addition it is also said that captain kidd also buried treasure here it is exactly the story goes that he buried this the treasure on kids island which is just above french king rock now his iron chest iron chest it's said to be full of gold and jewels and that at that pirate does guard this treasure and the reason why this particular story is significant because it is told by kids african cook okay he had an african cook on his ship now why french king rug why is name that way uh not really no uh because well this is where king philip would uh sun bake his fish it's interesting because uh the fish is called shot they were caught uh by the falls still you know king philip is a native american he's not a french king so we don't really know why the name was french king rock let's move on to the smallest town in the state of massachusetts called mount washington because a lot of things happen here the southwestern part of the town is called boston corner and why it was named that way some say it was because it's the furthest play you could get away from boston and still be in massachusetts now the nickname of this place was later changed to a corner of hell and then again it was changed in 19th century to health acres there is an old superstition here that the soil the soil the ground is underlaid with minerals and it's always hot henceforth the name health acres but it also it is in relation to uh the number of horse thieves and counterfeiters who use that area as a hideout now we're talking about at this point we're talking about pre-revolutionary times mohegan tribe was also known to bury large amounts of treasure here in about 17 17 century now they obtained the treasure by many raids on english settlements in the area bishbash is a mahikan word meaning shisha basha or mombasha is a native american that was shot at these falls during esopus wars esopus wars were two wars fought between the dutch settlers and the esopus tribe of lenape indians from new york during the 17th century why i i talk about this is because this place was a battle side for that war certainly worth checking allender is a kind of ghost town found here in 1647 it was one of the main it was the main village area of mount washington the road of this place passes through some thick woods and it is also said that the gang named black grocery gang buried that treasure right in this vicinity if you enjoy this program please subscribe like it and share

Puerto Rico Mona Island and Shoals
A poetic justice in a tragic form took place on july 4th 1502 a fleet of 32 caravels had assembled at santo domingo four days before making ready to sail for spain among the passengers on antonio de torres's flagship which was el dorado was this ever-skimming bobadilla he was an interesting character he actually imprisoned columbus two years earlier um and by coincidence that paths crossed again right there and columbus uh over there put in at santa domingo on his return from a voyage he didn't like the feel of the heavy still air the atmosphere recognizing the familia uh for warning of hurricane i mean you have to remember columbus was a very experienced sailor navigator so despite all that happened in the past between them he told boba dela that he was fearing the incoming storm but his advice was scorned perhaps boba dela remembered the famous navigator's warning four days later as he struggled for his life in the watery fury of the worst hurricane ever recorded at that time during 12 hours of july 4th its cyclonic winds and massive waves tore the flora to shreds swamping a dozen of ships in the mona passage and breaking most of the rest against the shores of puerto rico santo domingo and mona islands only five people survived that day 27 caravels among them el dorado were lost with over 500 lives including boba dillas there was treasure in quantity on the destroyed ships perhaps half of its gold nuggets and dust and pearls had been stole aboard el dorado the single richest item was a solid gold table reputed to one and weigh half tons through which boba dylan intended to express his gratitude to the catholic king for his appointment as governor so yeah he was a governor and that's why he had the power to imprison columbus for whatever reason so the flagship was believed to have gone down in the mona passage where depths of thousand feet are encountered no trace of its wreckage was discovered during the salvage work along the coast after the seas had subsided much was recovered from wrecks which had been thrown up on reefs and beaches but at least 3 million and of course that value was in 1962 in gold and pearls were gone so obviously the value is much much higher right now so in the accounts of boba dilla's 3310 pound golden table if his accounts were true about two million dollars in treasure lie in the remnants of el dorado and again this is in old dollars today much much higher value so it remains in el dorado way down under mona passage some of the other wrecks against the coast partly salvaged or beyond reach of uh beyond the reach of uh 1500 indian skin divers might make worthwhile targets for modern scuba divers but el dorado and had treasures will be difficult to find since they were not found as of yet according to the records but we do know that it was close to the shores so the depths are not going to be that that deep to encounter now let's focus on mona island puerto rico so mona island m-o-n-a mona island is the our hippolygo of puerto rico la is as the spanish call it is a natural paradise with no native inhabitants as of that riding which we're talking about six years ago at uh just 11 kilometers by seven kilometers this is in fact the location where the infamous english pirate hang henry j king's jennings known not only for his cruelty but also for his knowledge and good manners hate his treasure an expedition in 1939 discovered the da bloon filled chest and was auctioned in chicago for a fabulous sum back then a million dollars i mean we're talking about 1939 uh dollar value but that wasn't the only treasure on the island kept hidden every once in a while i gold coins were washed ashore by the tide
the island was not inhabited as of that riding so whoever found it kept it for himself now i'm gonna go to different sources to expand on our knowledge of this island of mona island so he is riding from a piece called the treasures of silver shoals and the isle of mystery well-informed treasure hunters have by now discovered that the mysterious island in waldo logan's tale is mona at the time the chapter was written in late 1956 and checked by wildo logan for accuracy we decided the author of the story refers to himself we decided not to name the place as he uh as he hoped to interest rebecca to go for the treasure my last letter from him was received on january 9 1957 waldo hancock logan died on january 11 1957 in miami florida at the age of 58. he was a true treasure hunter and had spent a large part of his life in search and actual hunting and surveying locations and he was well known in his field he was one of those adventurous men who work and dream and now that he has gone on the great adventure may his spirit be with those of the pirates and buccaneers he knew so well the author has in his possession unpublished information
written by walder logan on details of procedure for further work on mona island which might be valuable to future expeditions this information will be held private and not released except by the approval and permission of his ears so if you're really serious about it you better contact his ears and see if they'll let you have the information the attempt made by uh the falcon captain george churchill to find the silver shoals treasure guardians was taken from three-page manuscript letter uh from on board his majesty ship the falcon jamaica ss 14th 1683
signed general churchill see the man who missed the boat in manuscript volume eight number three spring 1956 page 153 157 the original letter is now in the pierpoint morgan library in new york the details of the captain phipps treasure are told in the hispaniola treasure by cyrus carracco
university of pennsylvania in philadelphia in 1934 coin contains a fine blog bibliography of sources now the reason why i mentioned sir william phipps is because uh he was the most successful treasure hunter of all times and i have another piece coming up regarding him he was a poor boy of new england who became governor and was knighted because of his salvage from the los spanish galleons on silver shoals his adventures and his success of of finding those uh salvaging those treasures is legendary and was the basis of many tales and books if you do enjoy fiction uh based on fact you can read silver shorts by hamilton cochrane
in any any case william phipps was actually ready for his next adventure his main aim was to find that solid gold table and he would not undertake such adventure if he didn't know the chances were very high to find it and it was not in deep waters as they did not have the the technology to dive deep so if he was ready to undertake this adventure this this new search and he was apparently having a lot of good information then it is very possible probably to find it still
now more in regards to that island so someone found emerald and a diamond in one of the caves right in the center of that island just be aware that if you go there you will not gonna find good or clean facilities as of that riding and the last information was that you could camp there you could set up a camp uh but you have to find out what the current uh regulations are so
this island is considered the most important for treasure hunter this this is crossroads of buccaneers and it is believed that it could yield a great treasure estimated of about 110 million dollars in the old money we talked about 50 years ago there are at least that we know of two other treasure hordes on the island one is possibly the remains of the cash from which a beachcomber digging in the sand took uh forty thousand dollars in 1935 another one is believed to be discovered but the finder went insane and was removed without giving any sensible information the island a favorite pirate hideout had an earthquake in 1700s and is partly covered with dense jungle the beaches are wide and were used in pirate days for careening and crowsing the pirates took over the fort built by the spanish it was natural that some pirates would use the island as a deposit box for the tons of loot so
it is definitely a place to go if you have the ability of course bring some good metal detectors and other equipment uh treasure searching equipment of course there is um on this island there is a single cave that formed the entrance to an inner treasure-filled cover
and it was blocked with the dirt and was the doorway was covered by a huge flat stone cunningly filled
obviously they were trying to hide that treasure the pirates in a way that no ordinary visitor would find it
but then on top of that there was uh denote detonated large amounts of dynamite and the dirt above the entrance covered this this area at the entrance and they say it would take 50 hard-working people working about a month to uncover that face of the entrance of the cave
so uh another reference to it it it talks about that during a war a german submarine uh fired two new shells into the cave thinking it is a military installation before leaving and said uh logan friend of robert nesmet author of dig for pirate treasure and i quote i have altered the landscape enough to make the correct location possible to detect and i have a complete plan of attacking case i find it possible to return the treasure consists of piles of thick golden coins blackened pieces of eight rubies from the minds of mogok emeralds and pearls etc now here's another reference to the cave and i quote there is one cave on mona known as the pirate cave it is a magnificent piece of natural architecture within recesses and long low passages leading away into a mysterious distance stalactites and stalagmatites line up like groups of organ tubes screening entrances to rooms that open up new vistas of beauty
the peculiarity of pirate cave is the ghostly light that is shed throughout its mysterious precinct the light is pale shimmering yellowish green and comes from the phosphorus in the damp walls imagine just to find yourself in a place like that here's another source that continues my quote and the caries of the rough boxes of silver pieces were happy and unobservant as as they staggered down long passes through them lit holes and down to the lower recesses of the further reaches of the cavern this describes actually uh
placing the treasure placing those many boxes of silver and perhaps gold into that cave at length they came to um let me just get the best part at length they came to a low voltage room through which a small stream ran where the stream passed over a sort of natural aqueduct a small grotto was disclosed by the latter held by the pirate chief there in the dry recess under the stream's bed the boxes of spanish coins were laid away good luck hunting if you enjoyed this program please subscribe like it and share

Massachusetts-leominster Lynn Marblehead martha's vineyard - Treasure Hunting
lowminster or leominster massachusetts native americans relics have been found in leominster and there is also a claim to this town that it is a landing site of vikings lynn massachusetts lin was
settled in 1629 and actually is named after a famous britain
meaning the place of spreading waters lynn beach was the place where the native americans guarded to prove the skill and the strength and it is also a site where many shipwrecks uh occurred not only the park vernon in 1859 or the english merchant man pembroke in 1766
that ship along carried 200 000 sterling in silver coins and the coin still can be found on the beach after a high tide or a large ocean storm
dungeon rock is super interesting place it's where the pirates
set to bury many treasures today it is a park and officially searching and digging uh for this treasure is highly discouraged so you really have to work with the local officials make sure you obey every law or regulations there the legend is that a huge cave used to be at the mouth of sagas river and it was destroyed uh most likely by the earthquake in 1658 it is said that pirates hung light signals from the latter rock you know to fool the small boats and the big boats doing their own ranking but it is also said that they would give the signals for the comrades to come to secretly hide their loot now the pirate the very famous pirate thomas veal
is said that he has been buried alive or crushed by the big rocks that tip over the entrance of the cave during an earthquake and they say that his ghost is guarding the treasure that to be sure is that in that cave
before 1658
in order to disguise his uh format pirate life he set up uh a coupler shop schumacher shop as cover now view was the only one of four pirates who who came who escaped uh the british forces
he was the only one who survived because the the three of his comrades were captured and hanged
now that shoemaker shop could still be seen as late as 1844.
there are many stories of outlaws who hung out in that area one of them says that they captured an english princess and murdered her there
so as a side note that claims that the earthquake the great earthquake of 1658 happened right in the middle of hurricane
and something catastrophic happened in that spot
now in 1830s there were two attempts to blow up the rock covering the entrance to the to the to the cave but all they did was destroy totally completely the entrance to that cave
but again it is interesting place to to do some um exploring nevertheless many years ago four men are said to have sailed this saugus river and stopped at sergus iron works to buy tubes shovels
and other digging tools and they asked that the tools be delivered at the place called pirates glen and the payment would be waiting for them in silver bars and so the tools were delivered but no one was there you know to claim them so they just they just left them there the money was there they left the tools and no one ever saw those men again
marble had massachusetts so many privateers and mooncasters records as they are called made a living in barneygat district b-a-r-n-e-g-a-t
district and many pirates smugglers were actually welcomed there and it would they were actually hiding at fountain inn in 1722
very well known pirate edward law plundered at least 13 ships near marblehead john quelch also suppose as we talked i think before already we mentioned that have buried treasure here on snake island nearby there is uh an offshore island called satan rock a place where many wrecks occurred and treasure hunters have found large amounts of 18th century english spanish and other coins in that era they also in that area the steamer norsemen wrecked right off tom moore rock in 1899
the story of a screaming or a screeching woman i started on ocom beach o-a-k-u-m beach in 1680 now the story goes a strange spanish loaded with treasure is said to enter the harbor when the men were fishing on the grand banks the ship has been attacked by pirates and all crew and passengers were killed except for one for that woman the pirate the pirate's crew for some reason not really known by us brought her to the beach cut off her ring finger
maybe because they wanted her a ring they murdered her right on that beach and then woman screamed on the beach for help however the residents who heard her screams could do nothing about it because they would be murdered by the para pirates if they helped her the next day they found her body they buried the woman on the beach and to this day they hear her cries for help now this place is very interesting obviously for obvious reasons to the treasure hunter martha's vineyard massachusetts now marta's vineyard is so interesting for so many reasons but let's just focus on important points that are important to us treasure hunters
so we will focus on the western tip of the island called gaze head is where actually a yellow amber was discovered there are traces of volcanic formation found
black brook is known for the strange sounds that occur there
twigs snap branches crush sound is being heard as if someone was walking over them after usually after dark lights are seen when no lights exist there was
a they were boreal stones burial stones found near a miltark rock there is a presence that is always felt i thought i just uh make you aware of that before you go and explore this area now however if you can avoid those eerie strange noises don't be bothered by them or uh potentially the uh spirits there that is a treasure to be found um someone named ikis hill dreamed that she saw pirates buried a treasure near the cliffs this site was marked with sticks the description where exactly is rather vague and difficult to follow nevertheless it's great place to explore also prehistoric whale shark shellfish and other creatures are found near the gays head cliffs
it is also believed that the monster motion lifted the settlers call the area devil's den
teeth are still found in the ravine to this day what is interesting is that some sort of lizard is often seen nearby the cliffs and it is described as being 60 feet in length with the cow or horse head with paddle legs and the long slender tail the first sighting of this creature was by a british mental war in 1700s the last known signing was in 1930 by a fisherman carijunk massachusetts also known as no man's land or norman's land now this all this area is right in the area of martha's vineyard it is very interesting place kathy hank to explore many things have happened there so for instance it is a known side of buried treasure
there was a couple that also had a vision where exactly the treasure was they actually found a rock with inscription on it and behind
that they would find the treasure at the center of a deep muddy point and there are rocks that do have marks on them so the couple tried but uh they did not found the actual treasure and there are many that insist that treasure is still there so it's worth checking out edgar town it was initially called well by the native americans nadan park which means fresh pond now it was named for the son of king james ii of england edgar and a large number of english silver coins were found there right near great pond and they were dating from 1700 now we know that the murder b crowley was wrecked there in 1910 on warski shores w-a-s-q-u-e shorts this was the largest and the longest schooner ever built in rockland interesting thing is that the schooner was wrecked previously twice but they managed to repair her but not this time this side is also a side of native american burial ground human bones have been found and what is really strange about this particular site is that giant bones have been found there uh bones that are much bigger much larger than a present day human being what is also interesting and i don't really mention that a lot but this sea creature sea serpent that it's been uh cited probably not maybe this particular one but other sea serpents they were of similar description was cited all over new england and so native american had this sea serpent on this island and of course they made it into a legend that there was a sea woman named squant that lived underwater cave of gays head
and so forth and so so on but it is based on a real sea creature that was seen by many witnesses throughout the history uh benjamin franklin's uncle saw
that type of serpent sea creature of the cave in 1719 and his description was kind of similar even though it's it's wild he said it had a lion head large teeth long beard and fluffy ears if you enjoyed this program please subscribe like it and share it that sea serpent was seen of provincetown in 1886 and the description was just as wild they said it was 300 feet long and 12 feet wide and the sulfuric odor was coming from that beast as it came ashore it had a 20-foot tail there was actually even an article written at the time and it said that the perhaps perhaps that the sea serpent was awakened by recent earthquakes that were felt in this area during a revolutionary war era a french guardian was wrecked on the south side of the island it carried a large amount of money as all the ships did that would venture in on the longer trips but this ship in particular carried a lot more than usual because it was a payroll for the french troops now most of the money it is said was salvaged by the officers but it was too large to kali so they said it said that they buried it for the safe keeping and the story says that they never returned for that money actual amount was never disclosed some of the money throughout the history was found there was a story of a horse who who accidentally broke through to a treasure cave or a pit and they've discovered a lot of that loot of that money and the government officials took it now remember that there were no banks especially well there were some but they were not very prevalent and on that island there were no banks for many years and the settlers when they had money they would find places on the ground in the in the houses to conceal that well after all many smugglers wreckers and pirates are very common and so hidden there's many hidden places in that area are hidden places of hidden treasures had money hidden savings and they often included cellar walls false doors or simply dug out hole in the backyard and if you do your research of where people used to live on that island and if you do get permission to search or dig on the private property you might have amazing results many of the residents usually hit precious items or the savings when they saw strangers coming to the island
coins have been found in treehouse it is said that many people have thrown the items the savings into bags pawn and it is also said that a pirate once told of bearing his loot right along the north shore of the island in a place where two little brooks emptied into the sound the blue rock of chappaquiddick is an enormous boulder located near the shore where the k parch light stands so according to the story a farmer said that he saw pirates come ashore here and bury a chest right under this rock the leader of the group killed the two pirates who helped dig out that hole for the chest he killed them and he threw their bodies right into the pit with the treasure as it was the custom usually and when that happened the farmer left quickly obviously he was scared but he came back the next day but for some strange reason found no sign of the treasure pit or the murderers if you enjoyed this program please subscribe like it and share

Leyard Litchfield Kelsey Point Thames River - Connecticut
when searching for native american artifacts always search where the tribes would meet or where something unusually said to have happened the story that i will tell you now is one area definitely to search a native american legend about the region is about the birth of loon island in alexander lake the native american name for the lake was lake marsh park m-a-s-h-a-p-a-u-g
the story goes that there was once a mountain called lake mashpal and that it rose where the lake is today it was submerged quickly by the great spirit as a partnership as a punishment for those tribe members who were engaged in drunken dances on the summer just the top remained and that is the island today pines could be seen under the lake for many years the question arises as to why this particular legend exists what happened here was there once a mountain did something catastrophic occurred very quickly whatever happened there were once native americans living in the area the mohigan and piqua tribes are closely related by blood and royal marriage they lived on the banks of the thames river in the ladyard region the native american name for river was mashapen kotak
it's m-a-s-h-a-p-e-q-u-o-t-t-u-c-k
this is a mohegan word meaning great pickup river or river of the great destroyers of men the pequot war began the mohigans and naragan said aligned with the english setter settlers and in 1637 war was declared so the piqua village here was called mashan taksit or martian toxin there is a pick-what legend about this region there is a treasure buried in a swamp here and a native american ghost protect and guards the loot there is gold and other types of treasures to be found but the exact swamp location is not clear it could be kappa ko mak or shomo waki which means owls owl's nest due to the large number of owls who lived here or to shelter here and kappa ko mak means place of refuge or where we hide from enemies it was here that the last battle of piquat were occurred perhaps the treasure is in must swamp m-a-s-t swamp must-want covered much of eastern connecticut the swamp is also known as pine swamp or lead yards flower garden only in this place does a rare flower grow a red heart rhododendron the flower has a dark crimson heart instead of the usual gold and center this place in an enclosed grove was the last refuge of the pequod when they were hiding from the english after the destruction of the fourth in mystic actually the piqua tried to hide here after major mason destroyed the fort but they were followed in the late june 1637 just as the flower was blooming the peak was starved and captured here most died never leaving the swamp on july 13 1637 that piquate saitrim patak quak was captured and taken to the swamped and killed it is said that he died lying in the blossoms and he added the curse curse upon the swamp because of the starvation of his people and on the settlers who killed the pequots the swan blossoms lost the golden center and became blood red forever not only the native american coast guard the lost treasure but also any personal property that has been left there it is said that if the visitor sees swamp or willow the wisp lights those are the spirits who guard the treasure workers at the spring in the swamp are said to have found some of the gold that was said to be here and perhaps still more was left to be found the mohegans are said to have dreamt about captain kid and that he was to bear gold on the thames river banks tribe members supposedly found that gold but was scared away by a large black dog or sometimes a pig or sometimes a pirate himself will scare them away from the gold the location of the salute will only be told to the seeker in a dream and the only way to retrieve the gold is by driving a stake into the being that chases them away perhaps some of the gold that was found on the banks of the thames was buried in a swamp that the pequots took refuge in if you enjoyed this program please subscribe like it and share it native american name for liechfield was wimpetting which means ruinous ruinous help or pile of discarded goods there was also a village here or at the least arrest area the area was also known as viatik
w-i-a-t-a-k which means village of wickworms another name where si quoi geek w-e-c-q-u-a-e-s-g-e-e-k
means at the end of the march the tribe that lived here was an important member of the whopping air confederacy and was almost totally destroyed by the dutch in 1643 led by the captain on the hill the principal native american village was called kitutani which in mahishan meaning principal town gold barrel garnet corundum and tourmaline have all been found in the area on the old mount tom trail there is a strange foundation that when the stairs are climbed the hiker can hear a moaning sound from the floors below
english silver and gold coins from the late 1700s found were found on the beach in madison these coins were found several miles south of the number 61 exit of the connecticut

Treasure Hunting in Groton Massachusetts
A band of native americans nipmax attacked and destroyed groton during king philip's war in 1676.
many men women and children were killed here and it is said that the ghostly screams of those killed can still be heard if one listens closely there is a native american legend in hotfield close by that uh in 1675 over 800 native americans were slaughtered here and the woman who supposedly betrayed them was drawn to dogs who tore her apart native american attacks caused the town eventually to be abandoned in 1670 but it was repopulated later on it is a very sad story one after another but it is a great place to explore hingham massachusetts so in hingham there are remains of a settler for details of exactly where this fort is are very vague however for diligent treasure hunter nothing is impossible if you figure out where this fort was located i cannot tell you the the rewards you might you might have from that research
holyoke massachusetts
In holyoke men many native americans arrowheads have been discovered so it's a great place to explore as well
now
uh dinosaur trucks again they seem to be everywhere but here the dinosaur trucks have been discovered on the west bank of connecticut river and those trucks are over 150 million years old so check them out
lakeville massachusetts lakeville is the site of a native american village as well as burial ground um lancaster another town was actually attacked during king philip's war so those places again are are very interesting and should be
checked out should be uh it's a good place to explore now the town of hannington in massachusetts was also a skirmish site
in chase rebellion salisbury beach massachusetts the schooner jenny m carter wrecked of salisbury beach in 1894 actually grace ledge is also known as salisbury pinnacle and so there goes the legend a very good clue for us that about 175 thousand dollars was buried in salisbury
the details however are fairly vague
as far as what exactly or who buried that ipswich bay
massachusetts the schooner mexican wrecked at ipswich bay in 1890 and coins were found washed ashore west lanesboro massachusetts
so in west lanesboro baker's quarry cave is located and it is a marble cave so the solid marble cave is considered one of the most beautiful caves in new england
along the border of massachusetts and new york there are three caves in the so-called taconic range and the reason why i'm referring to them is because they were used by counterfeiters
and especially the one near lanesboro
on the western shoulder of a constitutional hill
the names of the caves are crevice cave counterfeiters cave and belcher's cave
the road that leads to those caves is called silver street because of obviously the fake silver coins that were produced there now counterfeiters cave is very interesting because there is a 75 foot tall waterfall which guards the entrance to that cave now the cave actually crumbled and it's inaccessible right now and it's considered the lost cave
located in pittsfield state forest now in 1890s counterfeiters used to melt silver uh to make their fake coins uh and during a flood a slob of rock fell over the entrance of the cave and it is possible that there still might be fake silver coins left in the cave
now crevice cave is basically a one large opening above a brook
constitutional hell got its name from the historical speech given there by jonathan smith which is said to change the history of massachusetts adopting a national convention belcher's cave is a 30 feet long cave located on bang hill
now this cave is especially of interest because
this was the cave where the most brazen counterfeiters and the most important counterfeiters at that time in new england history worked there this is where they set up shop it is where the fake money was made and they actually named it for the leader of the group gail belcher fake coins dated 1834 were actually found in a burlap sack by some group of boys who were in the area exploring it right on rattlesnake infested mountain now in north section of lanesboro there was an old house called the bradley house this was a british headquarters in 1777 when bullcoin's soldiers passed through after they were defeated at saratoga they stopped there
and it is said that the quartermaster actually hit
a bag of gold and the interesting thing is that when they returned the bag vanished and no gold was found so it's either they forgot what they have had it or somebody just took it in either case it's interesting place to explore possibly
the original name for pittsfield was pontussak plantation
and this area is was known for a lot of attacks from native americans and it is said that ghostly voices are still heard around pontus lake and that they speak in the native american language now there is another
town where uh you can go view the marble that still exists on the ground a so-called leopard rock is found in one of the chambers one of the rooms of the great cave called great radium spring marble cave
so the water washed over the hard white marble and yellow limestone creating a white leopard with yellow spots so this this whole quarry marble quarry that was there is basically a labyrinth a white marble is found right at the beginning of the cave
this cave is called [ __ ] hollow cave and is found behind laura hill now all the farmhouses in the area have disappeared but you can still find relics of bygone area throughout this whole area the marble mind here was used in making the capital in washington dc also the berkshire courthouse county courthouse uh the berkshire at the now in pete's field
and laura hill was where the native americans held their great grand council meetings so make sure you check those areas if you enjoy this program please subscribe like it and share

Fairfield-Hampton Connecticut - Treasure Hunting
Just east of the present day town of fairfield lies the site of a famous battle of 1637 1637. the colonists defeated the piqua and it was the final battle in the pequod war now the pequot war was an offensive war against the piqua tribe ordered by the general court in hartford on may 1st 1637 the pequots were originally from hudson valley in new york the mohawks also from new york and who were friendly with the pequot in earlier times sided with the colonists and i think this was the determine that determined the outcome because mohawks are very fierce warriors and they actually killed the uh sasukus which who is the chief descender the sahan during that time of piquants and um also over 600 uh members of the tribe from the fort fled but were overtaken in this town by the english this was a native american village site called ankaway this fertile valley was settled by the europeans who returned after the area was discovered by the military who went uh through here chasing the piquates to sasquatch swamp which was the final battle of the pique war this war ended in 1637. though there is a marker explaining this event the swamp uh is completely filled today but still the area is worth exploring in 1888 george hockley found five large caches of gold and silver coins all dating 1795 at the beach near penfield penfield reef this treasure is said to be from a pirate ship that landed or wrecked here in 1882 in 1931 documents were discovered that reported pirates did take cracks and buried them on the beach near penfield reef the penfield reef lighthouse constructed in 1874 is part of the national register of historic places this reef is considered one of the most treacherous areas of western long island sound and numerous shipwrecks have occurred there have have happened
now so even though the chests were found there's always possibility for some spillovers for something else so do explore that area as well of course in 1658 this tag bridge tribe tribe attacked the tunxis tribes fort in farmington at little meadow on the east side on the farmington river many native american artifacts have been found here which include arrowheads war axes one pump beads and stone bottles
if you enjoyed this program please subscribe like it and share it gulat fort is the site of a bloody bottle during king philip's world litis island is not really an island but during flood stages there is water all around the area creating an island so the ladies island is the side of that bottle in june 1777 the british were repulsed from the area by the colonists again i don't have to explain to you why this place is so valuable to explore
blackbeard
or a teach the famous pirate is said to have buried treasure in hampton in a granite wall in 1938 a man named katie c-a-d-y owned property in the horde's valley section called the jewett homestead a stranger came to his home named barney reynolds and told a strange tale he said that he was the direct descendant of the captain edward teach also known as blackbeard he said that he had a map that told of blackbeard's treasure buried here it was under a stone shaped like a horse head followed a southeast line across the road to a boulder that looked like a dog's head the map then pointed south across a brook to the fish carved on the stone which looked directly at the treasure side he would do all the work if caddy would pay for the equipment to dick carly agreed but all but all he saw was a pit dog and nothing else reynolds disappeared forever it is possible that blackbeard anchored off new london unloaded his ship and walked north on the nipmuck trail perhaps to evade pursuers cuddy's home was just off the mipmak trail a place where many paths intersected however if reynolds found the gold he certainly did not share it
now there is a sleeping giant state park in hampden in hampden h-a-m-d-e-n also known as blue hills or mount carmel is made of five ridges of brownstone a red hued sandstone complete with bound and abundant mind and lots of rattlesnake so be very careful if you've mentioned that area the entire area is a geologist geologist treasure trove greenstone have been found here the quarries have actually dramatically reduced the height of the mountain the largest copper copper deposit ever found just one piece was near mount carmo in 1790 it was 90 pounds and was attached to the rock by metal strands in 1912 queering was started on the giant's head public outrage at the destruction caused the acquiring to stop in 1933.
now let's move on to the city of hartford phillips war in 1735 a small number of tribe members from pagasset ankova's and put attack formed a village along the house atonic river called shak hikoki s-c-h-a-j i'm sorry s s c h a g h i c o k e in kent
which was about 400 acres at the foot of the mountain molly fischer can be found here she was born in sin 1750 and some called her a witch on the west side of the road about three miles south of kent there is a mountain called lane's hill and this is where the rock lies this rock was dropped here by the glacier and it is made of pure white quartz it is 12 feet long and nine feet wide six feet high it does appear that this rack was used as a fireplace at one time on the south east side of the rock are several characters cut deeply into the stone these are man-made not nature but no one knows what they mean or who carved them molly fisher was said to always visit this place to look for kids buried treasure chests it is said that one has to be absolutely silent if any sound is made one will never find the gold a man did find the treasure once but spoke a word and the treasure disappeared forever those who visited the area said they smelled brimstone there is no natural reason for this smell to occur here
cant falls cant falls is one of the marble valley waterfall sites bulls bridge is also found here it is one of the few covered bridges left in connecticut there is an iron mine and forge in the area the oak timbers can still be seen on the forge brook at the entrance to macedonia park they all was transported up the mountain to the forge by horseback there is a kind of a ghost town here it is near the kabul brook farm area in 1739 there was a settlement at the falls on kabul brook containing a forge tannery cider mill gristmill falling mill sawmill two churches school general store trading post butcher shop blacksmith shop brickyard animal pound berrygram burial ground and peregrine all are gone today killingly is a native american battlefield the native american name was aspinak skeletons were found from a narragansen and nip much bottle of a who would fish lamprey eels that came here at some time

Connecticut Beacon Hill Falls Branford Treasure Hunting
the yellow reason the settlers first came to the new world was of course also known as gold and gold has been found right in beacon hill brook in new haven county spruce brook is one of the most beautiful ravines in the state and under the cliff along the pagasa trail are the remains of a native american chipping ground where they made arrowheads a lot of arrowheads are found right there it is an interesting that a shipping place for native americans is where thomas sanford invented matches the diamond match company the invention for ten dollars the temple islands just offshore in branford
contain over 100 small islands there but the most are just rocks protruding from the water basically a boring castle more than anything native american name for these islands meant beautiful sea rocks however there are some islands that are just large enough to have some lost loot buried on them one of those islands is called high island it is here that a kid treasure was buried in 1699. he said to have hidden his ship near this island in the natural harbor and that he used it for his connecticut headquarters another island that harbors kids treasure is money island here he buried treasure in an underwater cavern now of course bear in mind whether this was kids or another pirates that was attributed to kid it doesn't really matter the fact is the clues are pointing us there
now in socket's cave in north brantford valuable native american artifacts were discovered however the use of dynamite perhaps to open the cavern has blocked part of the main entrance unfortunately to the main cave
bridgeport now in this town which is also known as newfield and stratfield is located in fairfield county and the native american names which are important are
which means cleared field a battle with the pequots is said to have been fought near paris rock parker's rock p o r t e r apostrophe s rock this was the side of a native american village as well during the revolutionary revolutionary war and also in the war of 1812 grover's hill ford protected the harbor old ruins are found throughout the area the american steamer lexington was shipwrecked here bridgeport also claims to be the landing site for the norsemen they landed on the mouth of pequena river so as you can see a lot is going on historically speaking in bridgeport so it's certainly a good idea to explore this area as well
now let's talk a little bit about something called bristol mines which obviously they are uh located in bristol uh this town was also known if you look historically it was also known as new cambridge one of the minds was called penny pat named after one of the girlfriends of a miner and it is considered a very rich side but very hard to get to and two of the most distinguished mineralogists in that time uh professor stillman professor uh james dana whitney broughton both from yale examined the mine in 1855 and were amazed at the great quality of copper there and led also was founder and the reason why this is very exciting is because led because led is usually found with gold and silver and so everybody was hoping the gold is going to be found over there as well and it was found about 23 feet underground in the adjoining metal by everett horton in 1896 near his shop on oak street uh in 1907 so workmen escave excavating for the wallace barnes plant found six gold nuggets this was on west oak street so perhaps nuggets were washed down from the south mountain by ivybrook there was also soapstone quarry there according to native american legend on goose street relics of unfinished soapstone pieces were found native americans relics are basically arrowheads were found on grove street grove street and on top of kelly's hill and these uh were thought to be the artifacts of the uh tung six tribe which uh it was non-work non-war-like tribe but they used the arrow heads as protection from the ever feared mohawks of new york
now there is another interesting place called witches rock which is rock is an area where cellar halls have been found near fall mountain if you enjoy this program please subscribe like it and share it a large pirate treasure is hidden in the town of brooklyn in windham county
just so you know
now many gems were found in a town called one
and those gems that were found there are not found anywhere else in new england the types of gems are various types of garnet barrel and tourmaline if you are interested in gemstones many american native american relics also have been found on the connected connecticut river in north chrome koscap is located it's another city is located on mayanas river mia nus river the name comes from the name of a friendly native american chief who is buried in the old indian burial grounds just north of this point on the strickland brook there was a bloody battle between the dutch and the tribe who inhabited the region in 1646
now let's move on to don berry

Massachussetts - Florida, Great Barrington - Treasure Hunting
florida, massachusetts Norman's Woe
it's not a public area right now and it's also known as easter point lighthouse it was a place for wreckers and smugglers and those days wreckers were people
that would lure the ships onto the rocks by displaying false lights tricking the ships to wreck and to be destroyed and for the uh sailors and people on the ship basically would die and in most cases if they would not they would be killed by the wreckers it was a horrible horrible trade
and it often was a community affair it was the culture from which the saying was coined finders keepers losers reapers and as an interesting side note the term wrecker was used in the old days originally it was a person who would search for ships that were already wrecked would not cause them to to be wrecked
but the term ended up wreckers for people who would lure the ships and murder the survivors unfortunately it was widespread in this area and this is the reason why there was a great resistance to the building of lighthouses because it would cut down on the wrecking economic boom that many coastal towns villages communities so right in the same area of cape n was north atlantic grand banks those are considered the most dangerous waters in the world over 10 000 men have been lost at sea here and mostly fishermen from gloucester massachusetts work those dangerous waters and so it is no wonder that many tales of hunting and lost treasure
occur in those lonely but very important shores in 1899 we know that three schooners were wrecked on norman's wall
which is another name for north atlantic ground banks
we know that hespers the ellen m gleeson and the lcm smith were wrecked there
now we're gonna stay in this stay in this area of uh cape ann
and another interesting place is called snake island now snake island we have some historical evidence that in 1704 pirate john quelch have buried a large amount of gold right on snake island off of k n and treasure hunters did find a small amount of coins
however the coins they found did not date from the era of the pirates uh alleged buried treasure so they were not dating from 1704 so there is a huge potential there
staying around the same area we will go to uh tarpaulin cove t-a-r-p-a
cove uh which is located on the east shore of nashon island n-a-u-s-h-o-n island so there is a story that captain kidd stopped here
on one of his last voyages before he was captured and that he buried treasure there
nation island is privately owned now there is a place right in this area called the french watering place which is found southeast of that cove
in its name for the french privateers who are based there so this is again all in the same area a great great place to explore of course if you get the permission from the owners if you enjoy this program please subscribe like it and share it great barrington massachusetts
a great road also called mohawk trail went through this town it was a road used by the french and indian war expeditions near the house atonic river presently ridge street was the site of an old native american fort which existed in 1676 it was called great wigwam
this also was a place of the main mechanic cancel fire by native american the village name was mahaliwe which is borrowed from the word nehawi
the native american ward which means placed downstream the hasseltonic river is native american word meaning the river beyond the mountain so here the narragansett
lost in the battle to major telco in 1676 so this town was the side of skirmish of shea's rebellion there is a very uh well-known native american legend and there are different versions of this legend the first one is that the girl threw herself off the cliff on monument mountain when her love was not returned now this place is found in the north part of town and it's really a rock cane it is an old native american footpath
now there is another darker version of this story which says that this native american girlfriend fell in love with her cousin and for that there was a death penalty so she was either pushed off the cliff or she jumped because she was forced to
there there are other names for this area such as ice couch or purgatory it is cold and freezing here all year long so come prepared now the gulf was created by an earthquake
so another part of this tale is that the native american girl tried to save herself apparently she slipped she tried to self herself uh holding on to a branch she couldn't and as she was plunging to her death her screams were heard throughout the whole mountain valley
so there is another legend tells us that kankapat the chief of meccans declared the spot as a boundary of land between mohawks and his tribe so this rock
uh was actually the the precise place of this boundary and this rack has a long history most of which we don't know
and it's referred to as memorial or pyramid six feet to eight feet in diameter and it was here well before settlers arrived
and whatever happened here this is a place where the native americans thought of as something absolutely of great importance
and this is another town where uh rubber inhabited a cave
so there is a cave here it was also called an ice cave because again the ice all year long all summer another place for this cave was ice gulch but it is
difficult to locate that cave and lately nobody could find it
so there is a story about the cave in this area and it could be the same one it's called robbers roost that's the name for the cave
because on may 27 1875 bank robbers of the red leary gang attempted to rob the national maha bank and hit them so if you are able to locate the precise location of that cave you might be very richly rewarded if you enjoy this program please subscribe like it and share

Pirate Captain Kidd part IV
captain kid part four dance he sailed for long island sound enter it from the eastward end and made for new york cautiously anchoring in oyster bay nowadays uh seditiously avoided by male factors of great wealth it was his purpose to open negotiations with belmont at long range if you don't know captain's kids story you can definitely find out more i'm just gonna focus on what's relevant to us
belmont was a governor of massachusetts who was his former uh who was his partner however he was going after kid and kid wasn't sure whether to trust him or not so he opened a negotiation with the lord belmont at long range holding his treasure as an inducement for a pardon to be pardoned
from being a pirate being at least labeled a pirate from oyster bay he sent a letter to a lawyer in new york james emmat emmod who had before then defended pirates and also a message to his wife emma was asked to serve as a go-between and he hastened to join kate on the sloop explaining that belmont was in boston there upon the antonio this is the sloop the kid was using it's actually called saint antonio or saint anthony it's the same slew so antonio waded anchor and sailed westford westward as far as narragansett bay now this is why i was quoting this because this definitely talks about him being in narragansett bay some of the events i'm presenting here are the same events but are presented from different accounts with different point of view and with additional information so i'm not repeating myself i'm just adding information which is very useful for us treasure hunters kid suspected belmont's intentions and decided to leave his treasure in safe hands instead of carrying it to boston with him now follows the documentary narrative of the authenticated buried treasure of captain kid at the eastern end of long island sound is a beautiful wooden island of tree of three thousand acres which has been owned by the gardiner family as a manor manor since the first of them lionel gardner obtained a royal grant almost three centuries ago in june of 1699 john gardner third of the line of proprietors cited a strange sloop anchored in his island harbor and rolled out to make the acquaintance of captain william kidd who had crossed from narragansett bay in the san antonio what happened between them and how the treasure was buried and dug up is told in the official testimony of john gardner dated july 17 16 99 i quote before we fall to digging up the treasure of gardner's island carried a short in the chest of box of gold it is well to follow those other goods which were carried away in the sloops about which so much has been said by the said john gardner now all of the plan that transfer from kit sloop to those other craft work was cosigned to him and some of it was put ashore at stamford connecticut in charge of a major seller who had a warehouse hired by the sound clark was arrested by order of belmont and gave a bond of 12 000 pounds that he was delivered up all up to the government this he did without doubt but the legend has been busy with this enterprising whisking club so in the connecticut river of the upper end of pine meadow near northfield massachusetts is clark's island which was granted by the town to william clark in 1686 and confirmed to his ears in 1723 it then contained 10 and 3 4 acres and was a secluded spot well covered with trees later what with cutting of the woods and the work of the freshers a large part of the island was washed away it was here traditional hazard that some of the kids treasure was hidden by whisking clark the local story is that kid and his men ascended the river though how they got over the series of falls is not explained and made a landing at clark's island here having placed the chest in a hole they sacrificed by lot one of the number and laid his body on top of the treasure in order that his ghost might forever defend it from the fortune secrets
on october 20th 1699 belmont wrote in a letter to england
i have prevailed with governor went trump of connecticut to seize and send thomas clark of new york prisoner header he has been on board kit sloop at the east end of long island and carried off to the value of about five thousand pounds in goods and treasure that we know of and perhaps a great deal more and he carried that into connecticut colony and taking himself safe from under our power written by luton governor of new york a very saucy letter and paid us defiance i have ordered him to be safely kept prisoner in the fort because the goal of new york is weak and insufficient and when orders came to me to send kid and his men to england which i long for impatiently i will also send clark as an associate of kid three days later lieutenant governor of new york wrote belmont belmont as follows clark proffers 12 000 pounds good security and will and oath deliver up all the goods he hath have been entrusted with from kid provided he might go and fetch them himself but says he will rather die

Misquamicut Beach Treasure
i'm standing here right on mesquimerica beach where merchantman minerva wrecked in 1779 and it is still unsalvaged the artifacts all sorts of valuable things including gold coins silver coins and of course all kinds of things were found and still being found on a state mesquite beach which is a little bit further behind me the reason why i'm standing here is to give you an idea what miss quimaket beach state beach probably looked like before it was cleaned up to be usable as a state beach nowadays it was most likely very rocky and as you can see on this beautiful day right here we have complete park which in those days about what 240 days ago 240 years ago without navigational systems it was a nightmare to navigate and if that fog engulfed your ship and gorgeous schooner you were out of luck you could be pushed on the rocks and you had very high chances of being wrecked so right here on the squimakit beach so much stuff still can be found from that that shipwrecked minerva now there were other shipwrecks here that were documented and many more i'm sure they were not documented also in this area in the watchfield area there is a story about captain kidd buried the large chest of coins and of course it could be whether this is captain kid or other pirate it's not really that important because there's many treasures buried attributed to captain kid which is impossible that he buried all of them but whether this is him or radish or other pirates that operated or stopped by this area it's really not that significant the significant is the clues that we have that the treasure chest was buried right in this area in watch hill so come check it out it is tremendously interesting and high probability of finding something something very remarkable
i'm gonna go a little bit further to show you what it most likely use it used to look like that the squamica beach and the danger of the rocks and underwater rocks that each cooner sailing this way was facing and if you were caught up in the storm well good luck that's most likely what happened to the merchant ship minerva
a prime area to start exploring
now across from the squamicate beach there is konochantar pond right across the road and so here we are i'm standing in front of konochantar pond in westerly which actually contained something very special in 1957 during a tremendous hurricane ten houses were lost and they were taken basically by the pond and they were under the water in one of those houses there was a steel chest full of very valuable collection of coins and those coins will never recover they are still in that pond they will be worth a fortune right now so for any out there um of you who is willing to explore this area and perhaps get the right permissions you can still have a go at it if you will obviously get the right permissions but right behind me it is very incredible that this steel chest full of in those those very rare coins worth a fortune right now it's still there my camera is possibly covering it right now so please don't forget to click subscribe and if you like it uh please click that like button i have some awesome awesome videos coming up um they are not just from rhode island they're going to be coming up from connecticut and massachusetts from here i'd like to take you to middletown to this special location to this jewel of a little church an ancient church a very small tiny church hidden in the residential neighborhood so i'm standing in front of a rarefun treasure i have found this episcopal chapel found in 1886 san columbus in middletown rhode island it's just incredible it's just incredible the beautiful stained windows which i will show you in a minute uh just look how beautiful this little chapel is right in the middle of middletown
it's absolutely gorgeous just take a look
it's absolutely beautiful this gorgeous little architecture chapel this old cemetery definitely worth visiting
what is interesting about this church this charcoal episcopal chapel is that the stained glass windows 10 of them designed by david maitland-armstrong executed by tiffany studios the 11th window is unknown
how beautiful they are
unfortunately there is a service going on so i couldn't get inside but look how beautiful and detailed those stained glass windows are and here's the back of the church with the rest of the uh stained glass windows i wish i could go inside but unfortunately there is service going around they don't want people to enter look at this old barrel
this is this is a treasure found here in middletown rhode island
definitely definitely worth visiting if you enjoyed this program please subscribe like it and share it

captain kid part three soberman then sent his men with picks and shovels down to gardner's island where they uncovered 11 bags of gold dust gold coins ingots bars silver bars coins buttons silver pieces plus 17 ounces of diamonds rubies emeralds of value at about 100 000 today it would be a staggering amount and so he posted away a message to rhode island governor cranston and cardinal stanford to make a strict search of all pirate captain thomas paine's house at canonical island before he could have noticed belmont later reported that it seems nothing was found at paint's house but payne has since produced 18 ounces of gold as appears by governor chrysler's letter and he pretends it was bestell bestowed on him by kid i am of opinion that he has a great deal more of kids goods still in his hands how right belmont was for the treasures set deep in the dirt on the paint's house for 192 years apparently payne just couldn't spend at all in his lifetime belmont also sent a message to the authorities in connecticut to seize and send thomas clark a prisoner to new york accused of transporting kids crew and treasure into connecticut colony barmon also had major select warehouse at stamford search but none of kid's treasure was found there thomas whisking clark was soon released from the new york jail and no one has seen or or heard from him since
kid never revealed to belmont and the english authorities nor apparently to his partner livingstone either that he buried the most precious jewels and gold items from his two mortise prizes somewhere on an island in new england sometime between may 20th and july 1st in 1699 it is made up in a bag sadarbi mullens before he was hanged with kid put in a little box locked and nailed corded about and sealed but darby wouldn't say where kids personal treasure in the little box was buried on may 23 1701 neither kid nor mullins were thinking about treasure on that day they were marched out of new gate gall and for three hours were pushed and shoved by a drunken mob who shouted at them to reveal where the treasure was hidden until they arrived under guard at execution dock on the muddy floods of the thames river at waping by the time they got to the gallows at 3 pm both kid and marlins were roaring drunk having been fed spirits along the route by celebrating crowd it was workman's holiday at whopping aptly called the hangman's fair
staggering with the rope around his neck kid blurted my lord this is a very hard sentence for my part i am innocent and i have been sworn against by perjured persons the trap door of the staging was released and kit fell through but the road broke and kid landed knee deep in the mud flats the crowd went wild cheering and laughing and they extracted him from the mud still alive and still drunk the crowd protested when the constables escorted him back to the gallows for a second try the broken rope indicated god's judgment that kid was innocent so most in the crowd believed that
he was innocent however nevertheless he was hanged again successfully the second time and mullins soon followed him into eternity and so the songs poems and legends began and the man who swore to his dying day that he wasn't a pirate became the most famous pirate in the world after death his body was painted with tar and gibbeted in chains on the riverbank at tilbury ford for all the mariners to see and reflect on as they came and went on the sea even without he supposedly ill-getting good ill-gotten goods captain kid died a wealthy man and his family was well cared for financially one strange quirk of faith that made him even richer was that his best friend and brother-in-law samuel bradley who sailed with him in the adventure galley and quite a merchant died before kid was high he had been put ashore by kid at angula because he was sick and feverish and there he soon died in his will he left his beloved friend william kidd all his property on new york city's wall street if kid had lived he would have owned more than half of america's famed financial district still in private circulation throughout the world but especially in new england and nova scotia are what is known as the kids the kid palmer charts they are treasure maps secreted secreted in various places supposedly by captain kidd before he was executed hubert and guy palmer brothers and noted at atarnis in sussex england during the early part of the century also were avid collectors of alternate pirate paraphernalia in 1931 they discovered one of these controversial charts in a secret drawer of a 17th century oak bureau that they had purchased at auction wrapped in a brass tube hidden in the secret compartment hubert reveals was a nautical chart of the china seas which denoted an islander where kid hit his treasure apparently sometime shortly after the mutiny of his man at madagascar this charge was the this chart was the incentive for richard knight and fred graham to go searching for kids treasure at pulcock vietnam in 1983. iris had attempted and failed before them in 1933 the palmer brothers bought an old sea chest from the palm lahari of jersey whose ancestor captain thomas hardy of the hms victory had taken from pirate ned ward kids bought swain made aboard the adventure galley the palmers discovered a false bottom in this chest which contained a piece of parchment with the sketch of an island on it mark in red ink in the middle of the island sketch was an axe and written kids treasure but there is no indication where this island is located another sea chest that palmers acquired that same year had the inscription willian and sarah kid their bugs carved into it this chest also contained a secret compartment and the drawing of an island map on old parchment although it was a different island it showed the locations of eight caches of buried treasure belonging to kid again there are no longitude or longitude latitude markings on this map so there is no way of knowing where this island is the palmer brothers are now dead but two cartographers have deemed the kid prime palmer charts as genuine many treasure hunters do they use these shots in an attempt to find those special treasure islands searching everywhere from canada new england and new york to west indies no one yet to my knowledge has found the islands that fit the shapes and topography of kids sketches
if you enjoy this program please subscribe like it and share it in the statement of edward davis of london mariner made during the proceedings against captain kidd in boston and he is one of the excerpts that is more relevant to us treasure hunters and that upon the arrival at the all kills um [ __ ] kills hurry spell h-o-o-r-k-i-l-l-s
her kills in delaware bay there was a chest belonging to one james gillam put ashore there and at gardner's island there was several chests and packages put out of captain kids sloop into a sloop belonging to new york in delaware so in delaware bay kid bought stores and five of the people of luz were thrown into jail by the pennsylvania authorities for having traded with him

Pirate Captain Kidd part II
captain kid part two many have dug for kids treasure at chabakui c-h-e-b-e-a-q-u-e
island at cherbaku island also costco bay maine and a nearby jewel island a mr chase who lived on jewel island supposedly found some of it using a map that captain kids black servant had drawn out and given to him block island off rhode island is also a favorite spot for the hunters of kids treasure there is a concrete evidence that kid did stop at block island as he had at gardner's island before he was confined to boston jail the list of island locations up and down the new england coast where kids supposedly buried his treasure seems endless there is even a captain kids island near turner's falls massachusetts far inland and close to the vermont border where locals swear captain kidd hit his treasure after all they would tell you how do you think the island got its name richard knight of britain england and fred graham of belmont california went looking for kids treasure off the coast of vietnam in june of 1983. nai told officials that he had a map gotten from my grandfather showing an island of vietnam where kid had his treasure the young man went to the island of pukkok ph u quoc vietnam and disappeared believed to have been taken prisoners by the vietcong captain kids treasure fever is worldwide and as obsessive to treasure hunters today as it was back in the 18th and 19th century
of course not all of the places that are being pointed out and attributed to captain kid are necessarily buried by captain kid but
it is very possible that those play those treasures were vetted by other pirates so captain kidd reports uh in one of his writing
he says i left saint thomas and set sail for muna m-o-o-n-a is an island between hispaniola and puerto rico where we met with a sloop called the saint anthony which is the same one as they call it san antonio bound for montego from curacao mr william bolton merchant and samuel ward master so it is interesting to note that william bolton was an alias the merchant owner of saint anthony was abraham redwood who lived on the island of antigua antigua and like the marlins family picked up stakes after kid was captured and moved to settle permanently in newport rhode island again one wonders in kids mysterious willings and demons if he purposely first landed at antigua to make contact with redwood alias william bolton or was it at kid as kid indicates just a fortunate chance meeting at muna island where kid persuaded bolton to rent the saint anthony to him so that he might proceed to new england kid says that i could not persuade my man to carry the accurate merchant for new england but six of them went and carried the chess and things on board two dutch sloops bound for curacao the rest of the men not being able to bring the quera merchant prize to boston i secured her in a good safe harbor in some part of hispaniola and left her in the position of mr in the possession of mr henry bolton of antigua the master uh who was the master basically of that ship three of the old men and sixteen of the men that belonged to saint anthony crew with the brigantine belonging to a man named bird of curacao bert was also a notorious caribbean pirate whose real name was burke i persuaded them to stay three months that kid till i returned and in the same entry uh made the best way to new york where i heard that earl of belmont was in boston and came to them
so there are many important events concerning captain kid and saint anthony coming up the east coast to boston which gives which kid uh purposely avoided in his testimony that were brought out by crewmen and so-called friends during his pre-trial at boston there is no doubt that kid had transferred much of the treasure from quetta merchant to saint anthony before he made his voyage up the coast but how much is in its body's guess kid however insisted that the bulk of the treasure remain in the cuellar merchant hidden in a river at saint tor domingo at santa domingon protected by some 20 men who await my return the first non-stop of the saint anthony on her way to boston was louis delaware l-e-w-e-s delaware where adventure golly crewman james gilman was put ashore with a big wooden chest so another crewman testified next captain kid anchored in oyster bay new york duncan campbell campbell the boston postmaster who also owned a bookstore in town was an old friend of kids at belmont's request he wrote out of boston with ahmed emmod and arrived at rhode island on saturday 17 june in the morning and went in a sloop with emmatt towards block island at about three weeks from that island campbell reports i met a slug commanded by captain kidd and having on board about 16 men so right here you have documented captain kit was at block island
next uh he went to gardner's island kid anchored off gardner's island for almost a full week john gardner owner of the island also joined captain kid offshore and treasure chests were taken from kid's vessel to these smaller sloops several chests and parks were put out of kit soup at gardner island crewman ed davis reported to the governor on july 8th at kids pre-trial we believed kids goods were taken off by carsten lor lorsten and hendrik vanderhead near gardner's island members of the new york governor's council informed belmont a major select of stamford connecticut who has a warehouse close to the sound belmont was informed received at least ten thousand pounds worth of treasure brought by one captain thomas clark from kids sloop enlarged with select the governor was also told that all seamen captain knot of boston delivered treasure to kid's old mate captain thomas paine now living in canonical island county jamestown well it's jamestown known as jamestown at rhode island and we know this bit of intelligence was true for the treasure was discovered under his house as we have just mentioned in 1891 thomas way of boston in his loop met kid at natake schwalls on june 30th after leaving gardner's island ed davis told the governor and kid gave him bars of gold davis also testified on july 8 that two guns and other east india goods were left at block island
so captain kitt was arrested he was placed under the house arrest for a day then moved to the solitary confinement in the boston goal belmont then had kids vessel searched but no treasure on the cloth and other merchandise was found at duncan campbell's house where mrs kidd and the children were staying belmont's men uncovered six quart bags of gold and one containing silver plus other loose money and in captain kids bugs they found one quart bag of gold dust and ingots 53 silver bars and quarterback filled and quart bag filled with 442 ounces of silver pieces there were also four diamonds set in gold one diamond loose one large diamond gold ring emerald silver box 67 rupees and so on

Pirate Captain Kidd part I
According to books newspaper articles magazine features and local legends famous pirate captain william kidd buried his treasure in hundreds of spots throughout the world the most popular designated locations for his hidden loot however seem to be in new england people have been searching for it for almost three centuries and a bit of it has been found the first to dig up some of kids buried gold silver and jewels was richard coote alias lord belmont governor of new york massachusetts and new hampshire at gardner's island of the eastern end of long island new york with the help of the massachusetts militia he uncovered 91 pounds and eight ounces of gold bars and gold does not 196 pounds of silver bars and coins and two pounds of diamonds and other precious stones but this was back in 1699. another hefty portion of kids loot was uncovered at konanikat island now jamestown rhode island in 1891. it was found by workmen digging a cellar hall under the summer house of seth rose the 17th century home was once owned by a pirate named tom payne who was one of kid's mates according to bob voss seth grandson a quantity of elephant tusks silver coins and gold doubloons were found very deep under the house by two workmen bob vose who lives in duxbury massachusetts today goes on to say that i was told by my grandfather that one of the men digging the cellar soon after finding the treasure and supposedly turning over what he found left my grandfather's employ moved to new hampshire bought two houses and retired from the life of hard labor charles sanderson of kingston massachusetts a successful treasure hunter who recently uncovered the archaeological riches of the revolutionary war wreck general arnold in the mudflats of plymouth harbor said that he uncovered new evidence indicating that kids long lost treasure is buried under logan airport in boston massachusetts sanderson informed that kid's great great great grandson had discovered an old jar in the attic of his connecticut home the jar contained a coated map which located a small island in boston harbor now covered with tarmac as the spot where kid buried his treasure before sailing into boston where he was arrested and jailed by lord belmont other treasure hunters believe that he buried his treasure at nearby deer island now part of winthrop where many silver coins were found by workmen building a sea wall there in the earlier part of the century because of the deer island jail treasure hunters do not have access to the island right now
unless permission is granted to search deer island
maine is another presumed location of kids buried lou supposedly as william kidd was escorted under guard to the gallows in england he whispered a series of numbers to his devoted wife but the numbers four four one zero six eight one eight always remained a mystery to her in nine in 1894 noted astronomer david todd of amherst college revealed the meaning of the number code it's a longitude and latitude numbers they are coordinates of latitude and longitude of exactly dear island may 4410 by 68 13. this is the precise location of deer island may was very similar to the numbers presented to mrs kidd by her condemned husband deer island had been owned by the olmsted family of maine since 1696. it had been given as a gift by the penobscot indian chief to cotton mother olmstead that year after cotton successfully treated the chief's wounds when he was mauled by a bear in 1894 after professor todd revealed his solution to captain kids number code marion olmsted made an intensive search of the island for the treasure and found a hidden cave at the water's edge that flooded twice a day at the high tide inside the cave on its sandy floor reported marion to her father fred olmsted who on the island was a rectangular hole in a clay about 15 by 30 inches on the surface and about 15 inches deep the bottom of the hole and sides were heavily coated with iron rust an iron box apparently had been removed as there were various legends relative to the presence of captain kidd up on the main coast the discovery of the excavation was sufficient to awaken eager interest in the question of the ironbox and the person who carried it away after researching old family journals and diaries fred and marion discovered that in 1801 a canadian named jacques cortea had tried to buy deer island from their ancestor oliver olmsted but he refused to sell cartier rented a portion of the island from olmsted instead and built himself a cabin he remained on the island only a few months and then disappeared never to be seen or heard from again by oliver armstead oliver recorded that he visited cartier's abandoned cabin one day and found part of a letter on the cabin floor which read that that absolute secrecy must be observed end of quote signed john jacob a store oliver armstead thought nothing more of the strange note signed by astor to cartier but oliver's descendants did they were aware that john jacob astor was considered one of the richest man in the world by the year of 1805. fred olmsted researched further in new york city and discovered that cartier had worked for astor prior to 1801 and that in 1802 astor had presented cartier with a check for five thousand dollars for meritorious service fred umstead believed the meritorious service was the digging up of the treasure chest from the cave now called captain kids cave located on his deer island property olmsted believed it was the treasure in this chest that made john jacob astor a multi-millionaire
one wonders however if the numerical code passed on to mrs kidd from her husband was part of the hoax or indeed a reality for it is known that kik desperately wanted to pass information on to her about his hidden treasure in england she was refused visitations with him while he languished in jail that kid left untold riches buried in the ground cannot be denied 11 days before he died while waiting execution in newgate prison may 12 1701 he wrote his final pleading letter to robert harley british parliamentarian which read in my late proceedings in the indies i have large goods and treasure to the great value which i desire the government might have the benefit of in order there to i shall desire no matter of liberty but to be kept prisoner on board such ship as may be appointed for that purpose and only give the necessary directions and in case i fail therein i desire no favor but to be fought with executed according to my sentence in your if your honorable house will please to come to me i doubt not to give such satisfaction as may obtain mercy your unfortunate humble servant william kidd parliament and the margie shreds refused kids request to dig up his own treasure and so unless someone has secretly dug it up since the loot that kid lodged somewhere remains in its hiding place many are convinced that his treasure is in the fishes of large rock foundations inaccessible at high tide located on thimble and money islands thimble is spelled t-h-i-m-b-l-e
and money islands stony creek connecticut

Warwick Rhode Island Shipwrecks and Moses Green House
guess where i'm standing i'm standing in front of moses greenhouse built in 1750. this house has been used for early smugglers in rhode island to avoid taxes and they would smuggle all kinds of goods into this milk cove that i'll show you a little bit in a little bit in few minutes they smuggled not just goods but also
and this house is known to have secret uh hiding room in the basement that was covered by a big door on the on a railroad tracks okay so you had to move it uh on the on those rail trucks in order to open that secret room so let's take a look it's an incredible incredible site it was built in 1750 just like a peter greenhouse a little bit further down i'll show you in a second
so this is the milk cove in huawei rhode island you know 1750 we're talking about almost 300 years and that's where our early rhode islanders were smuggling their goods to avoid the british taxes that's where moses green house is and as we walk away from that cove you will see that this is uh just a regular neighborhood residential neighborhood right now and somebody actually lives in that
house moses greenhouse which you can see behind me we'll get closer again so again this is the moses greenhouse from the other side and we just came from right here from milk cove that's what all the action was with the smuggling
pretty cool so i'm standing in front of peter greenhouse which is built the same year 1715 as moses uh green so let's take a look here we are so peter green uh was actually a captain and i will tell you a little bit more about him he was a very interesting character as well but as you can see this is a very old ground a lot of action happened around here a lot of action it would be worth visiting 1750.
we are on our way
to a cove right near gaspi almost pretty much walking distance where i will show you the location of two shipwrecks one of them is especially interesting because it was a yacht
so we are here at occupation where we call in warwick
so we approach
the harbour the little cove at low tide
and
i will show you a couple of shipwrecks here
it looks very interesting um what is retrieved this is right down from gaspi point which is right there
so this is an interesting
cove little cove in warwick and you can see further down green island which the access to it
is available right now at low tide you can walk to it through the water it will be maybe to your waist during high tide
you can't really walk through you might have to swim to it but right there close to green island that is one of the shipwrecks
that shipwreck over there is just a traditional um
ship that was carrying wood nothing excited about it but to your right i will show you a shipwreck of a schooner that is very interesting so let's get closer to that shipwreck and see what this is all about now i know a little bit about it and it was a schooner
they do actual they do research on it i believe
because they don't know much about it either there's not much information but isn't that cool look at this how cool that is
thanks to low tide you can see clearly the shape of that boat that shipwrecked right right here
it's certainly anchored right here by the mod
and rocks
so let's permission the board
i am right
on board of that shipwreck
very interesting
interesting area to explore
it's a very shallow cove
as you can see you can walk to the island green island but there's another shipwreck there
in case you don't believe me that i'm actually standing on the shipwreck itself
yeah it is
it's part of it is submerged even at the low tide this is very interesting area to explore so i'm walking towards green island we'll see how far can i get i'm not prepared to cross the water
see
during high tide all of this is completely submerged it's underwater
now i've been fishing here
which is located right on the green island
up close it's wood beams
we're getting closer
look at this this is the other shipwreck right here i have to do quick because i cannot cross back see this is the beginning of the shift so during low tide is completely uncovered see the beams unbelievable i wasn't here during this time of extremely low tide like this
which is as you can see behind me but now i'm really not prepared to cross the waters hopefully i will be able to still cross safely without getting wet after my waist
so i'm gonna have to go back now
all right mission accomplished
so
so
almost back but this is the place where we went first to the first shipwreck now we are almost on a dry land normally this is under the water as well but because of low tide
we are crossing its style
back
looks a little bit like a iron place
well i'm back safely on land
and i'm gonna have to climb the hill to get back to civilization
looking for my passage as a little pathway going up the hill for me to get through
don't see it
ah okay there it is

Smithfield, Rhode Island - Ghost Town Hanton City II
so i definitely came to uh some sort of clearing and looks like a partial stone wall box that's the problem this is pretty big clearing here right in the middle of the woods looks like that wall strong wall continues further here this would be very interesting place to search with the metal detector
there's a clear puff here as well interesting let's go this way a little bit further honestly i don't know where i am right now i think i would have to go back to hit some sort of hit my main trail but i'm not quite sure looks like there is a little remnants of the stall wall stone wall here backs are getting worse i'm getting more sweaty maybe this way so there's definitely human activity over there
let's keep going there's a depression here with some sort of rock formations around it i'm not sure
what was here but it looks like former human activity again would be a good area to search
i'm going completely through the woods not sure where i'm heading i'm not sure where i am to be honest there's a bit of a clearing here let's continue here not sure which way he'd go back and how i'm gonna go back but i'm hoping state of line is small enough that i will eventually reach
somewhere i just hope i'm not going to meet the bear or some other creature that's bigger than me this is a spooky place i have to say i have to admit pretty dark tons of bugs and uh it looks like a
bed of a stream maybe that's why there's so many bugs here i gotta get out of here oh what's this
this is bugs are killing me i continue on the trail and i see on the right a stone wall so let's get it closer now that's a definite nice looking stone wall here let's continue see where it leads us
there's a little depression here it's not a good time definitely during the fall it's better to come here
here this would be a such a nice area to explore that's what it ends let's continue further in
see where it will take us there's a definite over here there's another stone wall i can see in a little bit of distance from me let's check that area as well looks like there was a little stream that's why there's so many bugs but this is this looks like there was some sort of settlements some construct some housing probably this area is a little more clear but there you go there is another stone wall right here and i see further down the stone wall continues okay then let's go let's go further down
and explore as i can see the stonewall definitely splits this one goes to the right and this one goes to the left it's interesting so i think i found definitely a place where they lived you can see the stone wall here splits to the left and continues further down and then there is a hill let's go up to here let's see what's going on over there so i am on top of the hill and as you can see down there there's a stone wall i can tell there's a lot of human activities there used to be there's a lot of rocks so there's a little buffalo trail here that i'm gonna use to see if i can find something well there's a this hill actually continues further up okay so let's go further up and see what we can find over there
but i see a lot of timber here it's definite definite human activity from long time ago well i'm on top of the hill i don't really see anything super interesting although there is pretty much everything here is reclaimed by mother nature but i'm gonna go down the hill across that wall stone wall and see if i can follow it whoa there is a pretty steep decline over here let's go this way ah i'm gonna try to reach that stone wall uh but i'm gonna go this way coming to another fairly spooky place i have to say quite interesting just take a look it's very quiet i don't really hear birds chipping here
there's a big rock formation ahead of me let's check it out i'm just going right now without any path just going right through i think i can come across more interesting sites but as you can see down here that is an interesting place this freaking deer scared the hell out of me i bet you he knows where uh interesting places out here stella halls because i'm not sure if i'm gonna find one with all the brushes and this is pretty large area to cover i know they are here so like walls i've seen on pictures but so far i didn't come up on one although like i said i could have been standing near one and even know it since the heavy brush at times and everything's covered by leaves looks like i came to another trail honestly i have no idea where i am in this hampton lost hampton city
i'm gonna continue i couldn't get any signal from gps so it's going to be interesting how i will find my way back but i see some trucks some vehicle so i'm hoping if i follow that eventually i will come up to some settlement but i see another stone wall

Ghost town Hanton City in Smithfield, Rhode Island
i am in front of hunting city trail um i'm in the search for the lost gomes town in smithfield rhode island called hampton city it's been occupied during colonial times the last known occupant died i believe is in 18 late 1800s so it is very interesting place mystery surrounds it it's not in town register so i will try to uncover it get as much information and hopefully it will turn out to be interesting area for treasure hunters so let's go this is my second attempt to find that city as you can see it's just a small little trail of i will give you the directions later but as you can see it's just a small trail it's called hampton city trail there's two of them there uh it's right before strasino rocky hill road but i will give you the directions later on so let's go and see what this is all about
let's see what's on the left side here
so here we are in the ghost town in rhode island uh that most people don't know about and uh you know rumor has it that this colonial area era ghost town uh once existed and served quite a purpose there are different versions one says that most people here were run away slaves or people with certain afflictions but we do know that it contained a lot of good useful professions for that era such as shoemakers tanners uh and so forth so this town is called hampton city of course and it's known to locals as lost city to the locals i mean in smithfield so it was a small mostly farming town and it was uh isolated kind of from the main town of smithfield and certainly from the rest of rhode island the exact the dates of when the town started is not known but we know it's around 1776.
and we know that the town existed until right before 1900 the last resident i think was mr henton died in right before 1900.
so it kind of disappeared after that it was in decline for for for a number of years already and i think it's due to the progress to the fact that their new roads were being built and it diverted the business away from them the main families that were the original families that basically created these communities this community were hunting shippies and paints so as you can see we're walking through there are uh many human activities uh there and we know that there are stone foundations uh i know there is a burial site somewhere uh we'll get to that as well hopefully we'll find it and we'll find some some sellers a very interesting time
this is getting interesting
i don't want to fall into some sort of old well
or a cellar be careful moving around here but that looks like
old
structures
interesting
looks like
it was a bunch of structures around close to each other
let's see what's
going on over there that is uh
a little bit more
looks like a up
and there's a hole
whoa
this is interesting
human activities from long time ago apparently this town was a thriving town full of professionals those days tanners uh shoemakers apparently and and other professions that were useful at that time it was driving and then apparently times got very harsh i don't know dude probably to the modern progress buildup of roads
i can see back further down one place after another completely taken over by nature what's this looks like a little
tiny house
huh that's interesting isn't that cool
right behind me
looks like some animal dig up a hole over there
so let's continue on that trail and i don't know exactly how long it is maybe 45 minutes or so walking distance but i will keep my eyes open when it structures any human activities to the right
i know they talk about this hampton city as a haunted city they hear noises people talking
uh so we'll see if i hear anything i'll let you know i venture to the side and i see almost everywhere human activity looks like there's a little puff going through the side let's continue
let's see where it will take us well this is there's almost no blush here because in the other places there's the brush is fairly thick it would be good idea to come here during the fall but as you see here it's fairly open area interesting this would be a such an awesome place for a treasure hunter even if you brought just a simple metal detector would be interesting
to search this area for some old artifacts this is definitely a little side puff glowing
let's see where it will take us i certainly don't want to get lost but on the other hand how can you get lost in rhode island you just walk the same direction for a while you will reach the end of the state soon enough but there's definitely human activities all around me nothing recent halfway obviously very interesting well there was a hill i just climbed i veered off the uh the little beacon path again because of the rocks i've noticed so let's take a closer look uh
i came to a fork left or right we'll take the right take the right one and we'll see where it will take us
i already see interesting things going on let's keep going again this time i went to the left of the park the trail and i see some clearing

Pirate Collins in Warwick Rhode Island Part II
don't forget in last hundred years millions of dollars was recovered in gold silver and other valuables and more and more is being found at the rapid pace thanks to incredible improvements in technology lately and i'm here to help you find it at an exponential rate this is warwick next section of warwick and as you can see there is a possibility that as well i'm gonna get a closer look
so this is the beginning the base of warwick neck this is a little inlet
it is high possibility that this could be the place here is portion of warwick neck
there's houses all around me
it certainly could be the place
here's the other possibility in my opinion this is the highest possibility highest probability where the chest was buried it's very wooded area as you can see and there are very nice houses built around here including aldridge mansion however during times of our pirate
this place looked very different it was heavily wooded i'm certain of that and some structures houses possibly were built and since this is one of the few places where heavy more i mean heavier forestation is visible here
i would have to assume that this is the place most likely the area where the chest was buried
however
best way and this is the clue for any treasure hunters of course you have to get permission before you enter any place any area private or public but this is the clue you ready you have to look at some old maps of this area of warwick area especially area you know close to the east vintage bay and look at the early structure the early houses they were constructed especially close to the water because it is said that the chest was buried in a little in a forest between the house and the east greenwich bay in the forest in a in in a wooded area so that is very possible that we are looking at it right now we are looking at the area most likely where the chest was buried
on the underground
happy hunting so happy hunting happy treasure hunting and i tell you this is very interesting area here
but look at old maps that is very important look at the oldest buildings in this area right here and so
this is the only possible place for this chest to be very because behind me is rocky point park there used to be a roof and the construction of that park would not make it possible for anything to be buried and remain bad they would find it and find like this would make tremendous news nothing made news so the chest most likely still under the ground
as a side note behind me there is a former rocky point park it unfortunately um it was there was a fire and then the wrong people in charge and got completely uh she got shut down it was a big loss for the city of warwick it was an amazing beautiful place um now it's nothing just old structures left uh behind me you see the the blue cement this is where this big giant swimming pool was i was filled of course behind me you see the uh metal structure of the part of the um so look how big this swimming pool was it was giant it was big and it was so much fun i remember a little so much fun for the kids and as you can see behind me the remnants of the chair lift with the cable hanging still you could view the park enjoy the ride but it's all gone one last look before we say goodbye to the park the location was just amazing right on the water it's gone you can see the chairlift still standing the grounds the location it was just amazing
as i'm coming back what caught my attention was that old puff here going back
with those large rock structures
ah this is a little railway trucks i wonder if this was part of the park
this is very cool very interesting i wonder if this was part of the park if anybody knows please leave a comment but it is destroyed now but large rocks look very interesting i'm still in the park area look at this cool little stream going by
completely abandoned it must have looked so nice at one point in time not too long ago
and that's all is left
i'm still at the rocky point this is the type of forest where the chest possibly could be buried right in this area
also please comment perhaps giving me suggestions of new sites you want me to make a program about and share so we can form community of treasure hunters who cooperate with each other and so we can increase our chances of success

Pirate Collins in Warwick Rhode Island Part I
okay i'm on my way to hotel providence in providence rhode island guess what it's famous for oh many things but my book the most famous event and not really sure if this is the actual place but pirate collins came from a long journey to providence hotel hotel providence from massachusetts and he drove the carriage with his horses
so he came with his horse encouraged from the long journey from massachusetts right in front of the hotel hotel providence
and i will tell you in a second what happened next
i'm standing here in front of hotel providence where pirate collins arrived from massachusetts with heavy load of treasure chest and he pre-paid for 30 days look like pirate walk like pirate and what happened next is very very interesting are you enjoying the program so far then if you have not already click subscribe so you won't miss any new vital information as the stranger pulled in front of the hotel providence he stepped down and after making certain that horses were not badly shaft from the long journey from massachusetts he entered the hotel requesting a second floor room overlooking the street the newcomer paid for 30 days in advance and signed his name in the registrar as peter gifford the clerk couldn't help noticing the pistols and his pirate look the stranger was very confident had it very dark and almost evil glistening black eyes a very sinister type of look
he asked for help to carry his heavy chest up to his room and so the men sent for two men
the two laborers came a few minutes later and started carrying a heavy large wooden chest upstairs to his room names of these men were james blake and bernard starkey so with great difficulty they wrestled the chest from the wagon and dragged it upstairs.
it was certain that the treasure con contains coins
and after uh long discussion they decided to break into gifford's room and see for themselves was inside of the chest
owhile gifford was eating his dinner in the tavern a large man approached him with a angry red face pointed finger at him and said in loud voice that he was a peter collins the notorious pirate
who he has attacked the ship on on which the uh stranger was on the large man who was accusing him his name was mcginty and he said the collins attacked he was a sailor on the ship he said the colonies attacked the ship tortured and killed everyone and he
hanged mckinty of the yard arm but somehow after he was cut from the cut down and thrown to the sea he was able to survive and after the pair pirates sailed away he was able to reach the shore after three days where he eventually was rescued by the british trading vessel so while he was accused gifford was sitting quietly at the table
and all of a sudden mcginty uh stopped closer to gifford
gifford stood up took his two pistols and shot the man right in the chest the holes were about inch from inch apart in the center of his chest after that gifford returned calmly to his to finish his dinner blake and starkey decided to make a move and break into gifford's room they entered the hotel room and went to gifford's room broke into his room and opened the treasure chest and sure enough there were hundreds maybe thousands of gold coins
Gifford left the hotel went to warwick where he purchased a house
he would come back to providence and only for supplies and books and stayed a short while
that was going on for about a year
until
a local naval officer gifford in providence and recognized him as peter collins a pirate who was wanted for variety of crimes murder kidnapping robbery and piracy he was able to mount local posse and the next morning they left
for warwick to arrest gifford as they approached his house he came out of his house and shot two of them and then started running towards the back woods to the woods in the back of his property where he was shot upon questioning gifford's servant about his chest because they couldn't find it in the house anywhere
the servant said that gifford hired local man to excavate a hole somewhere on the property between the house and the shore nearby greenish bay in the in the little in the woods he actually watched the two men dragged this chest into the woods but the servant never saw the excavation had no idea where it might be located the two men they were helped to bury the treasure chest were found dead one week they were both shot in the head they searched the woods but they couldn't find the excavation the treasure has never been found and the contents is believed to be gold coins estimated to be worth many millions of dollars so we are here on the side in Oakland beach this is one of the possible location
that is describing between the property and his greenwich Bay
within the trees the big treasure chest is buried
so this is the oakland beach site the other possible site is warwick neck and we will go there next
this is still the side of Oakland beach
just showing you the possibilities
for this possible uh this chest location

Beavertail Top Secret Spraycliff Observatory - Rhode Island
My journey starts to explore the area of top secret military observatory during the second world war it was a radar station and a lot of secret things were happening here it's right in jamestown beavertail state park spray cliff and you can come right here and park no problem and the path begins right here so it nature reclaimed my understanding is that major reclaimed most of it but i'm gonna try to find some remnants of the buildings fund from the foundations certainly the cistern which is visible for google maps so join me on that on that discovery and hopefully it's going to be fruitful and definitely very interesting historically place to come explore to treasure hunters observatory located on the beavertail peninsula on kunanika island which is the town of jamestown was a top secret world war ii facility the activities of spray cleave observatory provided a crucial contribution to the us navy and its pacific operation during world war ii and during world war ii little was known of the highly confidential activities at spray clip even today information honored its cares although i conducted a number of searches of various places i have not uncovered much
there are some interviews and some correspondence of the actual person but many admitted that to their recollection of the events that occurred almost 75 years ago they are somewhat vague
so back in rhode island beginning in 1941 and for the next 30 uh three years the beavertail peninsula from just north of beavertail farm and south to beavertail light station was close to the general public and devoted to the war effort and post-war defense while many rhode islanders are generally aware that military operations existed on beaver tail few details have been brought to the light about the extent and the description of the top secret equipment deployed there in world war ii and during the cold war period between 1950s and all the way through 1974 when the facilities were finally closed the property now belonging to the state of rhode island right this way is known as beavertail trying to locate the cistern which shows on google maps because the actual building where the radar system was
it's not showing up this is interesting looks like almost built steps but there's something to the right
what is that? looks like a little bench maybe for the workers to rest i don't know let's see where this natural type of steps will lead us i have to come back here during fall because i'm not dressed for it's it's like a complete jungle i am complete with cuts oh wow so i believe this is the side of the cistern ah that's so i found the cistern cool so that's the only thing that shows on the google maps
all right at least we have a we have a view the main radar building somewhere over there but
it's basically impossible for me right now to fight the jungle here nature pretty much reclaimed this area i have to wait till i uh get better dressed and maybe for uh fall with the leaves will fall disappear will be easier to access just to show you what i mean just look at my leg
it's uh i have wounds and i can prove it all right let's give one more effort to find it so i'm sitting on that bench over here right next to the cistern catch my breath now let's see if we could
lose ourselves lose myself here see where this will take us it's not a clear path but that's venturing here just a little bit oh there is it seems like a little path opened up here all right
some old little construction materials i see the deer is running running through the woods in the back don't worry dear i'm not gonna hurt you oh we have what we have here now we have some remnants i don't know what that is let's see if we can get through here it looks very similar to what we've seen before anyway very interesting area to explore yeah i'm not going there
all right at least i reached the place where uh there was some construction some probably well was the area of the uh radar system secret radar system during the war and after
so this is interesting piece of machinery looks like there's some machinery that makes it rotate
interesting what is that little box here that looks new or it is newer i don't know what that
what is earth is this what what somebody's treasure so this is like a treasure hunt i guess i came accidentally that is so funny wow on earth so this is like a little treasure now this books this book doesn't look like a real book well maybe used to be
what a little trick to it let's see yeah it is a box official code book top secret accidental find
yeah so this is a little treasure hunt all right leave it leave it here for the next
well we found something see so i'm trying to find still the main building for the radar installation but i don't think it will happen because it's just not dressed for the jungle here that
reclaimed this area but even though i might not be able to get to the main building this whole area was used for radar it was utilized a lot of activity

Roger Williams Park, Rhode Island - Metal Detecting II
if you think you're too late then you are wrong there is definite evidence that most hidden treasures out there will never recover and are still being buried to this day with improvements in technology your chances of finding something incredible are exponential with my help now i'm off another beaten path here which you can find against on the other side of the temple but look at this look how cool this tree is just fall into the water left there and look at this pulled out with some of the roots i'm not gonna touch it i'll leave it to you okay whoever comes here first can explore this area i'm not going to explore it at all it's all for you just saying

you get the idea there was a little pathway now it looks like i lost it but i'll find my way
so i am on the other side of the pond on another pathway now look at this massive tree that falls down what secrets could that hold underneath there and so let's continue because speaking of which
i see another opportunity you tell me where is it yeah another potential time capsule of course the roots did not go with it it kind of broke off but there is another opportunity right here because it did expose some soil all right so definitely check it out i'm not going to take anything out i'll leave it up to you of course you got you have to check with the park make sure you have permission before you enter any private or public land
okay that's i think that's without saying

Roger Williams - Founder of Rhode Island - Betsy Williams Cottage
i am in front of the cottage of betsy williams the great great granddaughter of roger williams the founder of rhode island and this ground is a very interesting very old she built her carriage in 1773 year after rhode islanders burned gaspee the hated british british ship that was uh used to enforce taxation and what many believe that 1772 burning gaspee was the beginning of american revolution so a year later here betsy built her cottage so let's take a look so as we approach here to the grounds where betsy williams and her sister lived they lived here till 1871 uh in which here they betsy bequeathed the property of 102 acres and the cottage to the city of providence which became the foundation of roger williams park so it's very interesting place here let's take a closer look it's fully restored as you can see let's see what the plug says there we go yep 102 acres and then the actual park con consists of 430 acres but this was the foundation of the roger williams park 102 acres that betsy williams donated to the city of providence look at this enormous tree so it is on a hill which is interesting they had a nice view let's take a closer look let's see what's on the other side that's the other side of the cottage let's peek inside the windows let's see if we can see anything on the inside i don't know here's a closer look at this massive tree right next to betsy williams house
as you can see there is pretty nice view from that hill but right behind right next to the cow the cottage is roger williams himself let's take a closer look so there is several monuments of roger williams and my understanding is they never knew what he looked like so his face i know in one of the monuments i don't know if it's on this one is the face of ted williams the baseball the famous baseball slugger roger williams arrived in boston 11 years after the pilgrims landed at plymouth so he arrived on february 5th 1631 with his wife mary so he preached at first at salem then at plymouth he was a chaplain and he was fairly controversial figure because he thought the state and the church should be separated from each other he was controversial enough that the locals wanted to ship him back to england so he had to run away and he did run away to rhode island where he purchased the land from narragansett chiefs canonicals and mayan tsunami and named his settlement providence in thanks to god so he made actually two trips back to england during his lifetime the first one was in june or july 1643 was to obtain a charter for his colony to forestall the attempt of neighboring colonies to take over providence he returned to the providence plantations in narragansett bay which incorporated providence newport and portsmouth during this voyage he produced his best know non-litera literary work key into the languages of america published 1643.He returned to england um in order to have the charter confirmed so he had to he was basically defending rhode island from the neighboring massachusetts and connecticut trying to take over rhode island so not only he has found rhode island but he successfully defended from the neighboring states and so we have survived rhode island is obviously state right now and alive very very well except for some corruption of course that's going on and guess what is right across from betsy williams house kasmir version puwavsky polish hero polish general who came to fight for american freedom kasmir puwavsky was promoted to brigadier general by us congress in 1777 and he had an incredible military talent and experience and george washington really appreciate that having him next to him and yes he became the father of american cavalry so powavsky landed in boston in 1777
eager to join the american continental army to fight the british he unfortunately had to wait to be officially enlisted as uh general george washington informed him personally he said to him he needed the approval of the continental congress before joining under third pulaski refused to wait for official approval before jumping into one of the most important battles of the war at the critical moment the battle of brandywine as the british forced the americans off the field on the 11th of september washington realized to his horror that the right flank of his army was about to collapse potentially causing a general route and destroying his army in the flash powaski volunteered to counter charge the british and give the continentals time to withdraw in good order with no time to argue washington entrusted pulavsky with his own mounted guard about 30 in number and watched as the polish volunteer led his band directly into the fray delaying the british long enough for the continentals to retreat and possibly saving washington's life for this guaranteed congress immediately commissioned him as a brigadier general with the honourable commander of the horse he also took part in battle of germantown the following month

King Phillip War - Great Swamp Battle Rhode Island
Great Swamp Battle
I will show you the locations of buried gold treasure silver Treasure and other valuable objects not only in every state of United States but in other parts of the world using my extensive resources of many years I will be focusing on two types of locations one is the type of location where there was actually something bad and we have historical evidence of historical news where something historical happened of significant value high probability is for that particular place today I'm going to see Great swamp battlefield which occurred during King Philip war December 19 1675 about thousand regulars from Connecticut Massachusetts emerald Island attacked before 000 most in Narragansett Indians only about thousand warriors and the rest of them women and children and the massacre that followed was confident so let's see if we can find a place of monuments place where the bottle for so we are on the Great swamp monument road which you have to take on foot you cannot drive by car here it is right off of route 2 which is right off of route 138 in North Kingstown so we are basically walking on the sacred ground when is horrible horrible fight occurred where about over 1000 of women and children Indian women and children were slaughtered and about 500 warriors perished and only about 80 regulars died during that fight that Fort was located right in the middle of the swamp and was it was almost inaccessible because of the swamps and it was in December during harsh cold winter so the swamp rolls over so the regular school just walk on top of it during the rest of the year. So I am walking towards obelisk because the obelisk monument where marks the spot where most of the women and children die and it marks the monument for the fallen native Americans as well as well as the regulars from Connecticut Massachusetts Rhode Island as you will shortly see now Rhode Island originally State out of that King Philip war which was between 1775 and 1777 but the neighboring states especially Massachusetts was suspecting peaceful harboring, hiding King Philip and this was one of the main reasons why they attacked this fort, this is about 20 minutes walk hopefully I'll get there soon I came to a split either to take a right it go straight animals see where it will take us. This whole area was a site of what's a terrible sign where women children and warriors were running away from the regulars the fort was burned so many native Americans were burned so many women and children as well it was a massacre almost we can only honor it this is a sacred ground that contains a lot of history so it seems like that pathway here is making a loop there was a possibility to go left I'm not sure if I should take the road because it seems like I'm almost going back through that loop so I think this was the option original option to go right so you know what let's turn around and you're going to take the left because this loop is taking us back this was the original left I'm trying to reach the monument the obelisk commemorating falling soldiers and native Americans after taking the left the pathway continues it is it is a strange feeling pretty quiet a little bit I was being watched hopefully I picked right half to find the monument the place where most people died so I'm looking for about 10 minutes now and I'm not sure this is the right way keeps going oh wait I see something in front of me yes yes this is we can reach the sacred place where most native Americans died here in this greatest of battles King Philip war was a terrible war so many native Americans died but also settlers the families it was a high cost to pay not only in human life but monetarily as well and after this war things were not the same that if Americans lost in the big one as it usually is the case oh my goodness this is a very special place I feel an overwhelming feeling of grief and overwhelming feeling of sadness let's see what it says in this moment it's difficult to read historical Rhode Island society take a look at this monument case that represents the Connecticut fallen regulars this monument represents Rhode Island fallen regulars and this I cannot read what it says Plymouth I guess regulars from Plymouth let's check this monument here it represents Massachusetts regulars let's approach this middle obelisk which represents the native Americans what a sad place after spending here a little bit of time and saying a prayer I'm going to leave in peace this is definitely a place to see to come visit and pay respects so on my way back I'm going to explore that side road that turn into a loop I'm going to see if there is any other pathways that would lead me to perhaps see more of this place of the sacred place and so much history here so much painful history you should definitely come and visit and pay respect to this place

The Start of American Revolution - Gaspee Point, Rhode Island - Treasure Hunting Site
Gaspee Point
Several miles below Providence in Warwick is Gaspee point where the British schooner Gaspee ran aground in 1772 and the fire deliberately set by the American revolutionaries caused explosion which scattered debris and artifacts all over the beach, again it is located about seven miles south of Providence on the west side of Narragansett Bay the beach and this area has been turning up small artifacts and treasures from the wreck of the British schooner Gaspee that ran the ground in 1772 it was then attacked and overcome by Patriots and then it was also set on fire and that was believed by many the beginning of the revolution.
-and here in Cranston, RI Still Cove is where the captain of Gaspee was dragged on the shore
