SEED STARTING CLASS | PART 3
These are really simple to grow from seed. However, many of these are considered companion plants for other plants. Plants have friends in the same way that people do. These can also keep the nasty pests at bay. Thyme, you can tell this is a golden lemon. Lemony in scent. It's fantastic. It's also a tricolor sage. This is a strawberry plot, so you may have it just outside your garden. And, you know, they kind of look like they're just about to go over the brink there.

SEED STARTING CLASS | PART 2
This is bee balm from our area. Bee balm has an oregano-like scent, and it may be used in fish recipes if you like to fish, but it also produces our swallowtail butterfly's crazy hair blooms. And I can't seem to get enough of my hummingbird moss, therefore I love to plant it, right next to my crops. Another one I'll grow for you and give you because it's a native that may be aggressive.

Are you PREPARED for the FOOD CRISIS?
I want to talk to you today about a problem that is going to become something that will affect each and every one of you. Regardless if you are only a consumer or you're a gardener, that is fertilizer.
Fertilizer shortages are going to cause food shortages. It's already happening in countries where they use fertilizer for food, and they can no longer get those fuels for the fertilizer.

SEED STARTING CLASS | PART 1
I also wanted to talk a bit about gardening and its role, why it's so important, and why I'm so passionate about combining pollinator gardening with traditional vegetable gardening. If you look at Doug Ptolemies's work, which is an eight, he lives in Pennsylvania, but he's a professor in Delaware. Every year, over 2 million acres are developed in the United States, the majority of which are east of the Mississippi. A lot of people think nature is somewhere over there. But the reality is that nature is in our backyard because over 85% of the land in the United States is privately owned. And so when we think about the plants that we're planting, we want to think about growing native plants.
