The original "forced reset trigger" that hit the market in 1990 shortly after the passage of the Hughes Amendment in 1986, which banned the registration of new machine guns. The Hellfire trigger was basically a piece of spring steel wire that was placed on the back of the trigger if a semi automatic firearm. The tension of the device pushed the trigger forward forcing the trigger to reset. Unlike today's FRT15, the shooter had to know how to bumpfire to get the Hellfire to work.

My solution is to allow licensed FFL dealers process NFA form 4s through the FBI NICS system INSTANTLY! If NICS is sufficient enough background check for purchasing an AR15 with a 16" barrel, then is should be sufficient enough for a rifle with a 10.5" barrel, or a suppressor (that isn't a firearm).

The Rare Breed forced reset trigger exploits a 1/8 inch trigger put, and a 1/8 inch trigger reset. The operator has to allow a reduction of rearward tension on the trigger to allow the trigger to reset. If the operator maintains rearward tension on the trigger the bolt is inhibited causing a malfunction. Mechanically there is no way to make the Rare Breed FRT15 trigger fire more than one shot by a single function of the trigger.
