We were walking around the island and met the islands school principal and her sister. We offered them $20 for gas to give us a tour, it was awesome. Found out that all the kids go to the same school but not every day. Each day are certain age groups, and they learn virtually from the main school based out of Nassau. A new school is being built as the students have grown from about 25 to about 100 in the last 5 years. This school will be hurricane friendly so there is a place to hide in case of an emergency. There's also a laundry/bar/liquor mat where the wine was cheaper by the bottle than at the Staniel Cay Yacht Club wine store.

There's only one restaurant on the island called Zuma, you have to make a reservation for dinner and they close for a few hours in the afternoon for a shift change. Most of these staff have been on this island working here for years and years and they're all just so wonderful and welcoming to the tourist. Plus it's so safe here, and pretty much from my experience, all of the islands down in the Exumas are safe.

Was out for a nighttime stroll and noticed the tide was out so I just kept on walking, I'm guessing at least 100 yards.

Turning 50 in the Bahamas was one of the coolest birthdays I've ever had. We traveled all over the Exumas for 24 days and each day was like a whole new birthday gift. I have so many videos to show you of Highbourne!

☀️ Some of the island you may not ever see as a 'regular' tourists. I have tons of these videos, all over the 🌎, keep an eye out for them! 🦋 Whenever I travel, I feel it's always a good idea to make friends with a local or two. Typically 🥂 someone who's works in hospitality and has been at the same job for a long time, 💪safer that way. Best way to see real island 🏝 life or anywhere you travel!

The marina is a pretty decent size with an amazing club house, infinity pool and swim up bar, spa, cabanas and a hotel, restaurant and the ever-famous Naughty Rooster bar. A great place to just come and rest by the pool with an epic and relaxing view of the ocean

I've been fortunate to have been to several islands in the Bahamas, but none so far compare when it comes to the view from the infinity pool to the ocean. I sat here the whole day and it felt as though the atmosphere sitting here at this pool side heaven rejuvenated me. I've never been able to sit very long at a pool or beach but here, I could have sat for days. Plus, there is the swim up bar with seats, my favorite pool on the planet!!!

You must buy as many bottles of this homemade hot sauce as you can! I am a hit sauce snob and this is now in my top three favorites. Perfect mix of sweet and spicy, but not fire spicy, just perfect!

Be ready to spend $25 plus on a prepared salad but they must be good because this farm is popular all-over Long Island, even with incredibly high prices. Bring your Gold card, you're going to need it. Clean, home grown and local produce, jelly's, pickled items, pies and more.

Rented a car, drove on the left side of the road, that took a minute to learn and just explored on my way to find 'The Baths', make sure to find that video upload, pretty amazing place.

There is a maze of rocks and trails to find a secret beach! Not many will have the opportunity to come to a place like this, I can't believe I experienced this! They're located at the bottom of a hill on the southern end of Virgin Gorda. There is a medium-priced restaurant there as well with a pool and an insane view.

Just a normal day in San Miguel! You will often see locals in costumes like these walking down the road, lots of parades here, they love to celebrate everything!

Our adventure there was full on with gun shooting, water rafting, horseback riding, sleeping in a Yurt, four wheeling, Kids Rock concert, lake tubing and more!

Traveling when owning two dogs was a challenge and my dog sitter was expensive but they were worth every penny!!!

This was my first ever helicopter ride and I have to say I wasn't scared at all. You can't hear anything so you can only communicate with the headphones. It was pretty cool! #themidlifetraveler

I loved riding my horse here, the animals live in the wild, sort of, here's what's it about from their website. Not to mention what about these free roaming horses in the park?'

Rode a few horses through the beautiful countryside of Rhonda Spain, a romantic city with stunning architecture and some great history.

If you can make it to the top, it's worth every step!
