In order to progress Castti and Throne, we need to head to a new city. A trend you will notice as we get further in is that it will take me less and less time to loot places going forward as Throne and Agnea will be better at getting items and Temenos will have more tools to break people more quickly. On that topic, you can find the Scholar job on the way here, which is part of the Temenos setup. I will spec for using it, but it will be a very long time until my hand is forced into doing it as most enemies are either weak to staff or elements he has access to, or just have few enough shield points to where I can boost and latent with my staff. If you are going to take anything from this video, just be aware where to find the Scholar's guild so that we have that ace in our pocket for later.

Throne wants to investigate a treasure she heard about in the past that may be associated with the cathedral. With Temenos's help, she is able to enter and find the story behind the rumors. If nothing else, she is able to find some closure from her search... Overall, this is probably the best of the crossed paths I've seen so far. Do not expect quality like this in the upcoming few, a word of warning.

This one really didn't go the way I was expecting it to. After clearing out the loot in Clockbank, we do the mission we came for where we finally get to catch up to Roque, but due to Partitio getting distracted by the engine, plays out very differently. We don't really get much resolution for the scam that he did, and hopefully it gets addressed before chapter 4 comes to a close...

This is one of the more important towns, namely as the host of the Thieves Guild. The old man waiting at the entrance during the day is the Guildmaster, so if you do anything to him, the Guild may become glitched. Just steal the gem he has so you can get a second thief immediately and put the job to good use. With access to swords, daggers, and dark magic, it offers a lot of versatility and I will be putting both jobs to use with Partitio and Castti to make them among my most valuable members at the moment. Otherwise, the town also holds a dungeon we'll worry about at a later time. I imagine it is something meant to be tackled after the third chapters are resolved, so we will be back here again for it, and once more after we find the gem to steal to get the final thief job (even though 3 thieves isn't that efficient).

Due to people here being sick, I finally sat down and starting editing things in my backlog, so I have a slew of things I can start releasing. I don't know if there will be much Azure this week, but I have a lot of things I can work on getting out in the interim. Having arrived in Sai, we picked up the Warrior subjob and looted the place in the previous video. Now, we put Castti at the helm and try to break up a tribal skirmish. Overall, I think things progress way too quickly here for me to believe any sincerity of it, but at least Castti gets more clues. Now, since she is one of the characters like Ochette who have multiple chapters of the same number (why?), we will see another chapter 2 for Castti coming up somewhat soon. But before we get to that point, I want to try one of the interwoven or dual character chapters, so the first one of those will be coming up next.

No commentary in this one on account of everyone over here being sick to some degree (except me). I am putting the name of my new saboteur type in the title since I haven't seen or heard of it being used in any strategies. Noivern is a little different from Umbreon (except relying on typing for defense instead of bulk), but both have Screech and both can learn Taunt even though I only have it here. In the event things went longer, I intended to try using it to prevent Samurott from using Sword Dance. My goal here is to evade all ground attacks by being flying, and my tera type is Flying so once I connect the number of Hurricanes I need, I can go Tera and dish out hard hitting flying attacks. If I could get a rain setter like Pelipper, I could use this thing offensively for any future opponents that are weak to flying, provided they do not thrive in rain like Samurott can. The strategy here is for me to start by using Screech to weaken Samurott and then when the shield goes up, I go offensive and work towards going tera myself. In the first match, Blue is attempting the Rollout strategy. Azurill cannot use Belly Drum here without proper support or risking death, instead relying on his ability and the amplifying damage. The drawback here is that I thing it makes using tera a lot more difficult. I suspect without the Body Slam paralyze or Hurricane confusion, we may have lost the first round. For the second round, we try something more traditional. He does use Belly Drum, I use Screech, and then he goes all offense and I lag behind in joining him. His move here is Aqua Tail, using the buffs and debuffs to do the damage he needs with Shell Bell healing. Had the Drifblim landed Will o Wisp, this would have been a piece of cake. In the event Crimson were with us, I think we would probably have needed him in a position to drop a status or two. I should mention that there isn't really solo potential here as Noivern is a special attacker, but does not learn Fake Tears or Metal Sound. If Hurricane were not unreliable in terms of accuracy, it may be possible, but as things stand, there is a very heavy RNG element in trying to make it work. So this one was a little harder than some of the others, but I added a few other Pokemon to my roster to call upon. Depending on what Typhlosion does, we may get to show one of them off in the coming videos.

Before we can enter the academy, we have to cross the forest outside of it, which is a fairly short and simple dungeon. There is a monster chest that we will need to return for much later in the game as we are about half the level requirement for it. Upon arriving at the academy, we are thrust into a class, and when it is all said and done we take our new car back to the city to get KeA and bring the day to a close.

With the patrol out of the way, we have our first set of missions to tackle. It turns out starting with Lecter is probably the most efficient as you will get the Recipe Book and there are recipes to find at the church and in the borderline condemned apartments/slum. I show the fights in the slum just so you can get an idea of what the normal battles are as they will really go by that fast if you have the drop on the enemy. The free turns and crits are usually enough to deal with the majority of the things you encounter. The new Enigma is tested while doing all of this, so we can report the results to Wendy and set out in search of the final extermination only to find that Eugene took care of it since we waited too long. Next time, we will head off to the Police Academy and bring the first day to a close.

Reuniting with Asaga and finding Lynn at her disposal, we have the means to strike out against PACT courtesy of a salvaged Ryuvian vessel the latter has been working on. To really stand a chance, we will need everyone, so we need to make a plan. It would be nice to get Ava back immediately, but in order to do so, we need to get the help of a mercenary and fortune teller. Surely nothing can go wrong with this plan. All of the old mechs are gone, and the new ones run a new module system that is a little strange. I am trying to find out what is ideal, but I can recommend running Sola in Trebuchet mode as Archangel should not be moving that much. I've had success with the Sunrider in Titan mode, but I don't know if that should be a permanent thing. Ultimately, since the upgrades cannot be undone, I am thinking the module system is going to be a pain to balance, so expect my recommendations to change based on buffs and nerfs in the coming days.

After 6 years, the series has returned and we are looking at a soft reboot of pretty much everything. Liberation Day has still taken place, but since there is no data carryover, all flags are reset and you get to start with a blank slate similar to the first game. The battle system has changed quite a bit as well, and it will take some time to get used to it. Fortunately, you have a few battles before the gloves come off, so make every moment count. In the interim between Liberation Day and now, Kayto and Sola have been hiding on Tydaria while the rest of the group went their different ways looking for something to help turn the tide. However, some assassin drones seeking a Sharr wind up on Tydaria. Realizing the Ebon Fleet has returned, Kayto and Sola set out to get the group back together. There are some point and click elements here that I have yet to see later on in the game (I am only in chapter 3 as of writing this). I don't know if it was something experimental for the prologue, but once we get the ship, things return largely to the way they were before. One of the changes is that the girls have a social link type system now where every rank yields something. For instance, by leveling Cosette, we get the Captain's Orders, which have changed like everything else. I will be trying to upload this daily, but we will be kicking today off with a double upload. Let's get back into the swing of things and see how brutal these games can be on Captain difficulty.

Now that we are in control in Crossbell, we head from district to district rounding up the unique dialogue and picking up some clues on things to come. Some people are excited to see the SSS return, while others are amazed by the two new recruits...

Azure has come west, and we kick things off by tackling the entire prologue despite it barely cracking the 2 hour mark. Sadly, I'm only able to talk for about the first half of the video, but I get to explain some of the important parts, like the Master Quartz system making its debut. Here, it is a hybrid of the old and new, and I like this one a little more than what we actually get in the modern games. We begin with Lloyd leading Arios, Dudley, and Noel into the Altair Lodge to catch Ernest before he can make his escape. We have to fight the secret boss of Zero, then Ernest himself as he tries to be the final boss of the game. However, some timely intervention from the Gralsritter prevent tragedy from occurring further. Upon returning to Crossbell, we receive two new recruits and the SSS is re-established so we can resume where we left off. The plan is going to be the same as it was for Zero. I will begin every day by talking to the NPCs of Crossbell, then we will perform the missions, then the storyline, rinsing and repeating until we achieve our resolution. I will not have a video for tomorrow, but I am hoping that we can continue this within the week and get a regular schedule established. Stay tuned.

We confront Xaebos in the Great Hall for a somewhat annoying battle. There are golems to serve as HP sponges, and Xaebos himself starts fully buffed. We basically need some high HP units to be able to survive one of his attacks, and a bunch of heavily armored walls to restrict his movement. Everything devolves into a slugfest, but we manage to come out on top and expand our resistance.
