In this Range Report I shoot and try out the Smith & Wesson M&P9 Shield Plus. This is a subcompact 9mm pistol which is built around a compact double stack magazine. This version is the "standard" version and does not have a manual safety but has a milled out slide. Overall, it is built and shoots like any other M&Ps. In this Range Report I get the chance to shoot and review a modern bullpup design that claims to be a major departure from traditional bullpup designs. This rifle is the K&M Arms M17S chambered in 5.56. While I am not usually a fan of bullpups, this rifle does interest me as it addressed many of the issues I have had in the past with these types of rifle. In this Field Strip video I show how to take apart and reassemble for cleaning and maintenance the CMMG Mk4 Dissent. This gun is similar in many ways to an AR-15 but also a Sig MCX. The bolt, bolt carrier and recoil spring assembly have a lot of small parts and might be difficult to get apart and put back together. In this Range Report, I get a special opportunity to shoot and review a rare pre-ban Chinese Norinco import of a Type 86S. There were only 2000 imported and this one is one of the first 100. This is a very collectible firearm and one that has a unique layout and build. However, like most bullpups, this one has a few drawbacks.
