Went to my 500 yd range to re-zero one of my rifles and found hog craters. Went back that night and set up about 50 yards from my parents house-and the hogs showed back up.

This is pretty much the full video of the approach of two coyotes that are paired up on a hunt a few weeks ago. Nothing fancy. Just because fawn in distress got them half way don’t mean BayBee cottontail won’t work right after a deer distress. Usually we shoot the first with the suppressed 6.5 and Jo B gets the second with the 223 but I had to block him on my shot and #2 never checked up. This is breeding season for the coyotes around here so we see a ton of pairs from January till March. We’ll go back and get that other one in a week or two.

Was supposed to be a coyote hunt but the weather started changing and they wouldn’t cooperate. We saw at least 4 bobcats and 2 got curious enough to come in. Took about an hour and a half to pull them all the way in. The hog-well, the hog was tough as hell because I hit him 3 times with the Grendel and Jo B hit him about the same with the 223. He wouldn’t survive it but we’d like to have got a picture of him. Probably 250-300 lbs.

The Rona got us here in East Texas so it’s been a slow month for hunting. But now that we’re all immune to it January and February should give us some good footage since the coyotes and bobcats should be breeding round here so stay tuned.

This is just a thrown together compilation of a few of our coyote hunts in East Texas. The video is shot on a Pulsar XP50 thermal riflescope on a Wilson Combat 6.5 Grendel. The caller is a FoxPro Shockwave and we’re shooting off a high-seat in a Yamaha Viking. Some hog and bobcat action included too. I apologize for the simple, sorta crappy editing job. This is kinda a trial to see if there’s anyone interested in these kind of videos.
