"Don't Waste My Time with All this Talk!"

Fugitive Slave Act of 1850: One of the Worst Ever
Sept 18, 1850 - Pres. Millard Fillmore signed the 2nd Federal Fugitive Slave Act into law. An attempt to implement the Fugitive Slave Clause of the Constitution, the act, at best, had serious constitutional issues. That Which is Not Law Ought Not to Be Obeyed
A patriot and a hero to the American Revolutionaries, Algernon Sidney was seen as a martyr for liberty for writing, but not even publishing, words based on natural rights the crown felt were a threat to its hold on power.

Uncontrolled Despotism: Mercy Otis Warren on the Constitution
In her widely-read and influential anti-federalist essay, Mercy Otis Warren warned that the Constitution would abandon the principles of the American Revolution and facilitate consolidation of the states under a powerful national government. In other words, it would lead to unlimited centralized power – similar to the system the colonists had fought to leave.

Benjamin Franklin's Rules for Bringing Down Empires
With some of his sharpest satire and wit, Franklin told the British the top-20 ways their policies would bring their empire over the American colonies to an end. Much of it sounds pretty familiar to what we face today.

Stop Doing This: Party-First Approach
There is "nothing more dangerous to the cause of truth and liberty than a party-spirit." Yet, today, most people approach most issues through a party-first mentality. That has to stop for liberty to grow.

The Revolution vs Unlimited, Centralized Power

Dangerous Myth: Courts are the "Last Bulwark Against Tyranny"
Many people hold the false and dangerous view that the federal court system is not only the final say on the meaning of the Constitution - but taking it even further - the courts represent the “last bulwark against tyranny.”

Bully Government Bullies Apple
In yet another example of the government rejecting founding principles by working to bring businesses under federal control, the DOJ and 16 state attorneys general accused Apple of violating Section 2 of the Sherman Act, a “law” allowing the government to intervene against companies said to be acting "in restraint of trade or commerce."

Decentralization: The Cure for Polarization
Everywhere you turn, it seems like people are at each other’s throats. Everything has gotten political - and it’s only going to keep getting worse. Unless, of course, the people see the source of the problem - consolidation and factions and factions and consolidation - and take action to reject it.

The Perils of Centralization: Anti-Federalist Federal Farmer No. 2-3
The Federal Farmer lays out a laundry list of reasons why the system under the constitution “will have a strong tendency to aristocracy, or the government of the few.” And it would ultimately result in a consolidated government ruling by “fear and force.”

James Madison vs the Pistol Brace Rule
States and individuals can stop the new pistol brace rule - without waiting for the federal government to magically do something it never does - limit its own power. It’s going to take hard work – and good strategy. The latter, we’ve got from the “father of the Constitution” – who gave us a four-step blueprint.
