Selain itu, China sebagai mitra dagang utama Rusia juga mendorong penggunaan yuan dalam transaksi perdagangan bilateral. Dengan beralih ke yuan, Rusia dapat mengurangi risiko fluktuasi nilai tukar dolar AS dan mengurangi ketergantungan pada mata uang AS dalam perdagangan internasional. Namun, peralihan ke yuan tidak akan terjadi secara instan dan dapat membutuhkan waktu untuk diimplementasikan. Selain itu, penggunaan yuan juga memiliki risiko tersendiri seperti risiko kestabilan ekonomi dan kebijakan pemerintah China.
