After nearly giving up I figured out what may be preventing your Spektrum Smart receiver from being able to use both SAFE and AS3X on your Open TX/Radiomaster TX16S radio. Let's dive into this.

So far really enjoying flying from an ACTUAL runway! The Arrows Marlin 64mm never disappoints.

Got a new plane AND a new flying field! Super excited to have an actual runway (600 feet!) to take off and land from. Still plan on flying from my normal spot as well but this field will allow me to get into some bigger and faster planes. Not having to avoid hikers on my tiny runway is another plus. Picked up this bird at Horizon Hobby on a pre-Black Friday special for $161.00, such a steal. Flying the T-28 on a 4S 2200, though it can also be flown on a 3S as well but why would I want to do that!?

Early morning flights are always my favorite! Ditched the 3S 2200 a long time ago in favor of a 4S 2200 which really wakes this bush plane up!

Early morning flight before work with the Arrows Marlin from Hobbyzone. Can't be stated enough what a great EDF this is, suitable for your first jet or 20th!

This has quickly become my favorite UMX (other than the still rather whiny EDFs!) Very stable for it's size and I'm digging the camo paint job.

Had the first version and then sold it, kinda regret it so now I have the V2! Original had 28mm. EDFs, this one has 30mm. EDFs and now uses a more standard 850 3S. Very stable (but pricey at $179.00) plane for it's size with built in AS3X and optional SAFE stability.

Versatile and easy to fly bush plane (yes bush plane, and mildly aerobatic!) The Esky Eagles/Aeroscout never disappoints.

The newest car in my R/C garage may turn out to be the most fun! After having a Tamiya M-03 20 years ago I couldn't resist trying out it's replacement. So far it has not disappointed me, the M-Chasis is still a blast to drive!

Uh Oh I have another RC addiction! The Tamiya M-05 2 wheel drive should be awesome! I had an earlier version 20 years ago and it was a blast to race. Back in the day of nicads, frequency crystals and fish pole antennas lol. This should be even better!

Let's unbox the new Eachine Mini-Cessna 550mm. Looks like a great plane for small areas! Available at banggood.com. I suggest binding this up on a multi-protocol radio if you have one as the included transmitter is toy grade at best. Protocol is MT99XX, sub-protocol Dragon.

This is the perfect plane for a casual and easy flight! Running this bird on a 2200 3S with AS3X and my goto Radiomaster TX16S (of course!) Be warned, this bird takes up alot of runway on landing due to it's crazy smooth landing gear.

This is literally the only EDF I have found that I can take off from the ground from my tiny little runway. Trust me I have found out the hard (cement) way with several other jets!

Always a blast to fly but the EDF unit is the weak point on this bird and it is not easy to remove, be warned! Flying this on a 1300 3S which gives it a surprising amount of power for 3 minute flight times. Bet you couldn't guess I'm flying it with my Radiomaster TX16S and an FRSKY S6R?!
