I'm a disabled American Army veteran from Kansas City KS and I arrived in Thailand in Oct. 2015. I came to Thailand for health reasons and knew I would benefit from a tropical climate. I have lived in Thailand full-time ever since 2015, and only vacation back home to the States. I am married to a Thai lady and stay in Thailand with a Non O Family visa. In 2016 a friend asked me if I would be interested in teaching English as a second language for high school students? I did not come to Thailand to work, but after living here six months I was getting bored of retirement life. So, I started teaching part-time ESL conversational class with no text books. Similar to a speech and drama class but, students using English second language rather than their native language. I then went on to teach the same type of class (ESL) conversational English for the Royal Thai Military Academy (CRMA) in Nakhon Nayok. I love teaching these smart Army Cadets, and have made many Thai friends with the Royal Thai Army. Many of my cadets graduated and have went on to serve as officers in Special Forces for the RTA. Royal Thai officers training with western allies on active duty using their English skills to share Thai culture with western troops. Doesn't get any more rewarding than that. The most I've ever worked as an ESL teacher was 18 hours a week. Great part-time gig to get me assimilated into Thai culture.
We moved to Ban Chang in 2019 because we had vacationed here and loved the area. Lots of expats here on the Eastern Seaboad. In 2021 I became a member of the American Legion Post TH02 in Pattaya and in 2023 I became a member of the VFW Post 12146 in Ban Chang. I created a playlist for American veterans related videos on the channel.
I love expat life in Thailand, and created the channel to share simple, but genuine videos about Thailand for my family back in the States. The channel has slowly grown and the audience has expanded to people from all over the globe. Making videos is an enjoyable hobby for me, and keeps me busy doing something I love. Thanks for watching, and we appreciate your support of the channel.

EVERY 90 DAYS ON A LONG STAY VISA, ONE MUST REPORT TO THE ROYAL THAI IMMIGRATION OFFICE TO KEEP THEM INFORMED ABOUT YOUR LOCATION AND VISA STATUS. PERSONALLY, I BELIEVE THIS IS A GREAT SYSTEM FOR THAILAND TO BE ABLE TO MONITOR THE HUEST THAT HAVE CHOSEN TO LIVE IN THAILAND WITH A LONG STAY VISA. RAYONG IMMIGRATION HAS ALWAYS BEEN VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL. 90-DAY REPORTING IS ALL COMPUTERIZED, QUICK AND EASY. "SAY LOVIN, IS WHAT I GOT" (SUBLIME)

7/11 always has a nice pack of street dogs in Thailand. many westerners just do not understand that this is perfectly normal here. They do not have dog cops, and the Buddhist culture does not allow to put an animal down. This is Thailand

Appalachian Alabama/Thai Cuisine. Jimbo's Cooking YouTube Channel is coming soon. #culinaryarts
Jimbo's Cooking YouTube Channel will be a very unique channel with content, unlike any cooking channel you've seen before. Jimbo has been a world traveler for many years. He has lived in many parts of Europe and many different regions. His passion has always been cooking unique dishes. He's originally from Appalachian Alabama, and the food there is very unique and full of ingredients that Southern folks love.
What is the traditional food of the Appalachians?
Staples of Appalachian cuisine that are common in other regional cuisines of the south and in soul food includepeanut brittle, sweet potato pie, pork chops, biscuits and gravy, fried chicken, chicken and dumplings, collard greens, cracklings, and ham hocks.
Stay tuned for this amazing cooking channel.
STUNG BY HORNETS. One of the bigger insects in Thailand is the Asian Giant Hornet. #gianthornet
I ended up with 20 stings and a lot of pain. Side effects lasted a few days. YOU DO NOT want to go near these hornets. They were removed by local Thai couple who knew exactly how to handle these hornets. #asianhornet #deadly #hornetsting.
One of the bigger insects in Thailand that is slightly less friendly is the Asian Giant Hornet. This invasive species of hornet can grow up to 45mm long with a 75mm wingspan. They are found mostly in jungles and forests where they inhabit holes in trees and borrows left by other animals. Asian giant hornets hunt other medium and large insect species to survive, including bees, mantises and other species of hornet. The Asian giant hornet can grow a sting of up to 6mm long which can inject a strong venom and can cause death in extreme cases. Thankfully however these hornets are not commonly found in built up areas, so you should be fine to chill by the pool.
Insects are the most successful animals in the world. They have been around for over 400 million years, and the insect population is estimated to be over 10,000,000,000,000,000,000 worldwide at any time. Of course Thailand is no exception. There are approximately 70,000 different species of insect in Thailand alone.
Generally insects in Thailand will not bother people any more than they would anywhere else in the world. So for those of you who are a bit squeamish when it comes to creepy crawlies, relax, you will be fine. The most common (and the most annoying) insects you will come across on your Thailand travels will most likely be mosquitoes.

WILLY WONKA (Gene Wilder would not approve!) DECEMBER 2023. NAM YEN TTT. #shorts #shortvideo #WONKA
Gene Wilder (The Original WONKA) Had One Stipulation to Play Willy Wonka and It Became an Iconic Moment. #badremake #hollywoodmovies #genewilder
The late Gene Wilder had a single stipulation to play Willy Wonka, which would ultimately become one of the most iconic moments in the 1971 classic, 'Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory'.
The late Gene Wilder had a single stipulation to play Willy Wonka, which would ultimately become one of the most iconic moments in the 1971 classic Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. The beloved actor would have been 87 on Thursday. He died in 2016.
Wilder (born Jerome Silberman) told Larry King in a 2002 interview that he was ready to walk away from arguably his most famous role had his idea not been worked into the film.
“I was offered the part. I read the [Roald Dahl] book. And Mel Stuart, the director, came to my home in New York,” Wilder explained. “He said, ‘You wanna do it?’ and I said, ‘Well, I’ll tell you, I will do it if I can come out, and all the crowd quiets down, and I am using a cane.’ Oh, my God. Willy Wonka is crippled. ‘And I walk slowly and you can hear a pin drop. And my cane gets stuck in a brick. And I fall forward onto my face and do a forward somersault and jump up, and they all start to applaud.'”
His explanation to a confused Stuart showed just how deeply he understood the character. “I said, ‘because no one will know from that point on whether I am lying or telling the truth,'” Wilder said. Stuart asked, “Are you saying you won’t do that film if you can’t do that?” to which Wilder replied “‘That’s what I’m saying.’ And I meant it,” Wilder told King.
The late actor was most recently in the news when Elon Musk announced he was selling Wilder’s former SoCal home. The billionaire had his own stipulation, though, which was that the house could not be altered or demolished.
Watch Wilder’s full 2002 interview below.

RED BAR DARKSIDE PATTAYA #pattaya MARINE CORPS BIRTHDAY EVENT. #friendlybar #darkside #pattaya
Marine Corps was founded on November 10, 1775, during the Continental Congress held at Tun Tavern in Philadelphia. The historical moment gave birth to this military branch which in the future was known for its discipline, resilience, sincerity, and courage. The official birthday of the United States Marine Corps is on 10 November 1775. That was the day when the Second Continental Congress established the Continental Marines with the following decree:
That two battalions of Marines be raised consisting of one Colonel, two lieutenant-colonels, two majors and other officers, as usual in other regiments; that they consist of an equal number of privates as with other battalions, that particular care be taken that no persons be appointed to offices, or enlisted into said battalions, but such as are good seamen, or so acquainted with maritime affairs as to be able to serve for and during the present war with Great Britain and the Colonies; unless dismissed by Congress; that they be distinguished by the names of the First and Second Battalions of Marines.
